Great customer service, great food, good location. I will definitely be back. I have the children with cheese enchiladas Carne Asada, enchiladas, shrimp tacos, which are still good the next day. The tres leches cake was OK. The fried ice cream was cool.

The atmosphere and decor here is a fun and lively vibe. We parked about a block away down the hill in the city lot by the Strand and walked up, which worked out well for an early dinner since the lot closes at 8 p.m. Our waitress was friendly and helpful, especially since it was our first visit. She offered great recommendations, and we were started off with complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was a bit too spicy for me, so we ordered pico de gallo and guacamole instead. For our mains, we chose the Especial de Cabo which is a shrimp and chicken plate with rice, and the puffy shrimp tacos, which came with rice and beans. The guacamole and the Cabo dish both needed a bit of salt and pepper, as they tasted somewhat bland. We liked the puffy taco shells, but the sauce had a bit too much heat for my taste. In the end, the dishes we ordered was either too bland or too spicy. At least our waitress attentive and they played Dodgers game on the TV screen.

The food here is delicious. I've tried the burrito del mar and the shrimp diabla puffy tacos and both are tasty. The burrito is tender and has a decent amount of shrimp and crab meat inside. The shrimp diabla puffy tacos are flavorful. Although the price is a bit on the higher side, it's worth it. Service is good and the greenery is very relaxing.

    3. Cheese Enchilada and Chile Relleno Combinacion

We ordered the Chili Colorado (beef) and the Cheese Enchilada + Chile Relleno combination. Both dishes were filling and delicious! The house margaritas were also generously sized and tasty! The server was friendly and attentive. We were fortunate to have visited on a Monday night and enjoyed the weekly comedy show. Would definitely repeat the full experience!

Pancho's is great. We go to the one here in Manhattan Beach and also the one on Centinela in Culver City. Both are great. This one is so cute. There is so much to look at inside. It is always clean and can get crowded. I don't know if they take reservations. This time we got food to go and all of it was great. What really stands out is their guacamole. It is thick and loaded with avocado and always fresh. Their tacos are wonderful and there is not a burrito you will not love--but I get the sour cream on the side. Their rice and beans are tasty and they make their own tortillas. To me, that is a big deal. They have a great happy hour. Their margaritas are so good--I order mine without salt, but you do you. The prices are fair for what you get. I think you will be happy here.

The Ensalada de Camarones was colorful and fresh. The restaurant is decorated with colorful decorations that creates an inviting atmosphere.

Pancho's is a Manhattan Beach institution. Typical "SoCal" Mexican food, it was a great moment to reconnect with old friends over margaritas, tacos, and salsa. Service pleasant, polite, and efficient. I veered from my standard taco/enchilada combo and ordered shrimp and mango tacos. It was delicious and perfect after the work day. The classic margarita on the rocks completed the meal (note the empty glass in the photo lol). The beach is three blocks away. Great for a walk after. Street parking or valet parking available.

First time back in several years. Service was good. Food was good, nothing over the top. City lot across the street was free for the holidays, valet Parking is $6. Prices are about average for the area. Nice old style Mexican restaurant with large menu selection. Service was fast.

The food & ambiance here are great. It looks so beautiful on the inside and feels like you're in Mexico! This is my favorite place to get mole. The salmon was also a hit! Bonus, they serve free chips & salsa!

Classic sit down Mexican food and great service. My brother was visiting from Asia and this was a must spot to hit on his trip. We used to come here as youngsters and the quality is always zbest to this day. Definitely recommend if you want unique Spanish style ambiance, great flavor and very attentive service.

Cocktails were had in the very noisy bar. We had House Margaritas that were not very strong at all. We moved to our table downstairs and ordered the very bland guacamole which we all ended up adding salsa too. We had the tacos, chicken and cheese enchiladas, a chicken chimichanga with rice and beans, and a beef burrito. All were just fair. Service was excellent and very efficient.

We came here with some friends who recommended it. We drove over an hour to try this place out. Parking is either on the street which is hard to find or valet which is $10 for a SUV. The restaurant is in the corner and not hard to miss. The inside is decorated beautifully and the staff are very friendly. The blended margaritas are bomb! They know how to make their drinks. They give you unlimited free chips and salsa while you wait for your food. Their salsa is so good! I couldn't stop eating it. The food came out shortly and portion size was great. My husband enjoyed his chicken enchiladas and said it had great flavor. The chicken taquitos were crunchy and delicious. The potato ones weren't my favorite as it was sweet. I'm not use to eating sweet taquitos so it caught me off guard. The rice and beans were cooked to perfection. Overall, they have good food and a cool atmosphere. Not sure if we would drive over an hour for it, but we're glad we got to try it.

Beach parking. However they offer valet for $10 or park across the street in a pay structure. Prices are higher than most Mexican restaurants averaging $25 for an entree. Service is good. Friendly but not chatty. Overall no complaints from our server Rogelio. Food came out fast. Portion is plentiful. Spice level was excellent. My chile verde had a good kick but tolerable. Lunch for 4 with drinks came just shy $100 before tip.

    Are there any vegan options?

    Not any good ones

Does Pancho's still offer the free birthday combination with a second paid meal of equal value?

    I'm not sure...

How much would it cost for two people to eat here plus maybe two drinks of alcohol each?

About $ 100.00 but you will enjoy the food, drinks and music. Great place to take your girlfriend or wife .

Would this be a good place for a baby shower?

Depends on the time of day & where you're seated in the restaurant. You should scope it out one day around the time you'd like to have it.

    Do they have mariachi's?

Hi Laura yes we do however only on cinco de mayo. thanks for your question hope too see you there thanks! Abbott Lawrence

I came here for dinner on a Sunday night and my experience here was pretty good! My family and I shared the following dishes: -Chicken and Steak Fajitas: The meat was flavorful and tender. Birthday Flan: Creamy, custardy, and not too sweet. Honestly, there were no misses here. Everything was tasty, flavorful, and nothing was too dry. The prices were also good and not too overpriced for Mexican food considering the area. The service here was pretty good and efficient. Parking is metered parking. The food here was not mind-blowing and I would still opt for other places though. However, it is a solid pick for a restaurant and Mexican food in Manhattan Beach.

We were staying near LAX and I didn't want to drive too far, so we stumbled upon this Mexican spot in the cutest little downtown area ever. El Segundo, you are THAT b*tch! We arrived around 5:30 on a Saturday and were seated immediately (thank goodness). Our server was super duper friendly and even had multiple conversations with us throughout the meal, sharing anecdotes and talking to my tattoo artist friend about getting a tat from her LOL. We quickly ordered some chips and queso (not free) and were blown away by how creamy and tasty the queso was. The tortas were also delicious and easy to scoop a lot of cheese on to. On to the menu, they had a good variety of Mexican dishes, but the price point, man. I thought $4-5 a taco at Barrio Queen in Arizona was steep, but this place charged $7-8 for a single small taco. I would've been okay with any menu item since it's Mexican and nothing under that cuisine could be bad, but seeing each enchilada over $30, made me steer clear of the main entree dishes. I also knew I wanted to try fish tacos, so I just opted for one fish taco and one grilled taco, with a side of mashed black beans. Crazy that some black beans also were at least $5. The fish taco was nicely battered and the guacamole was ripe and creamy, but the grilled chicken taco was nothing spectacular. There was also cauliflower tacos and beef brisket tacos ordered among us. My friend who ordered the beef brisket taco rated it 7.5/10, whereas the cauliflower tacos were rated 9/10. The food also took at least 20 minutes to arrive at the table. Both sauces my tacos came with were extremely spicy so I didn't even touch those. My friends enjoyed their meals, and the side of green rice two of them got was rather tasty. Overall, our server was the best part of the experience. She really ate DOWN, whereas our food and the price point did not.

He's been coming to this location since before I was born and I'm damn near 40. But this time I came alone and the place was packed. They don't have a big seating area. It's like a bar with about four seats to the right and four seat seats to the left so it doesn't accommodate many people, so people order to go. And that was my plan. I walk in and the server (with his chef at and money taped to it) and I grab the same menu. He allows me to have it, and he grabs another and gives it to one of the customers. I say all this to say that he definitely knows exactly when I arrived. This was the second time that this happened to me today and God knows how many times has happened to me in life. When I was thinking of writing this review, I imagined explaining that I had not been to this…read moreeatery in years. And that much is true, I went in 2023 because I wrote a Yelp then for that experience. And I continue to believe it is a "solid choice." I can see how it can lend itself, and be enjoyable, to many eaters. And how its beach adjacent location draws many sandal wearers and surfers gone business casual for the night. So I will begin my focusing on what I thought was our servers faux pa. My friend Conrad and I hang out on spin mode, with the cycle never really stopping. So we kind of have an implicit expectation that sometime during our time together we will break bread. But on this ocassion, I had already eaten and he had not. This does not mean that his hunger would be true until we parted ways. We could eat together, even if I was not eating. We were by the joint so we decided to eat there because I wanted to share with him what I have found to be consistently solid and pleasant. While we were there we got a table for two. We informed our server that only Conrad would be eating, since I had already. And he gave a look. Yes, a look that I interpreted as a mix of confusion and judgement- which together makes out of place bewilderment. Why? I can totally see a pair of folks being too embarrassed to go into a restaurant, especially, a nice place like Manhattan Beach Post if only one was eating. Again, I can understand that easily. I mean people are shy and unwilling to insert themselves in situations that are non standard. But then there is other people. The people who wear PJs to the store, who rock hair of a purple shade, and well, others have grown so old that eating with a friend while they are not eating, is not embarrasing, rather just the steps of an unplanned evening. To be more specific, I think the server should have saved his "not even a drink" and proceeding confused face to himself. Conrad and I had valid reasons for entering and not dining as a duo and he should have responded with undersstanding, not just like I had said I was so hungry I could eat bigfoot raw. In short contrast, I offer the host of the place, Crystal. While eating with Conrad I did taste just a wee bit of his four cheese ear shaped pasta- Orichette- and his biscuit. The biscuit is strong but with the maple butter it sings hard, give this buttered biscuit a stage at Madison Square garden or that famous opera house in Sydney. The Orichette was also super good but one of the cheeses had like this chalky taste. It did not taste bad, but also not good, which made me engage with the dish at an analytical way. And personally, when food makes me think, I love it. Crystal heard a version of this dialogue and engaged with me saying that she feels the same way because it makes her feel like a food critic. She also asked me to go when I was hungry. Service like hers makes a place shine. Service like the server gave us makes me question why there was no guard at the door ensuring that both of us had an appetitte. The decor of the place is one that I have seen in the recent the weeks---- brown with live plants. It is lovely. It is both muted and alive. This place has been around for years and will survive my review. And I do plan to go again. And I will make sure to be hungry. I am not sure if I can guarantee that for the person I take but I will try my best.
