What really drew me into this place was the advertisements of how beautifully decorated it is and I will say it is a very pretty restaurant. I choose to go here for my birthday. I was expecting the food to be just as great but the plate I ordered fell below what I was really expecting. It took a while to get seated even when reservations had been made ahead of time. The restaurant was super crowded. Once we got seated we weren't given a drink menu. It took a while for a waiter to come and when he did he asked what we wanted to drink. We then had to ask for a drink menu. We all felt rushed to pick a drink. I ordered a steak. It came with a cheese enchilada, rice, and beans. All of the food was great except the steak. It was dull and flavorless. I ate about half and then took the rest home to my dogs. I will probably not be going back there because although it's beautiful the food just wasn't what I was expecting. My daughter and I strolled around the farmers market but decided we wanted Mexican instead and headed over to Panchos shortly after they opened. This was my first time here, but my daughter had been to Panchos before. A two-story affair, the interior of the restaurant was adorned with colorful Mexican decor and lush plant life, presenting a south-of-the-border vibe. We were quickly seated and our waiter appeared almost immediately with menus. After taking our drink orders, another employee dropped off chips and salsa. I decided on Pollo Asado and my daughter on Pollo a la Diabla. Our meals were delivered within only a few minutes. My pollo asado was delivered on a cast iron platter, so I sort of expected it to be sizzling; it wasn't. In fact, the temp of the rice and beans could have been a touch warmer for my taste, but the flavor was on point. The chicken had good flavor but was cooked until it was a little dry, which was very disappointing. The cheese enchilada was decent, as was the chili gravy covering it. It wasn't served with tortillas, again, a bit disappointing. My daughter's pollo à la Diabla was swimming in sauce, literally TONS of sauce! Although it was advertised to be spicy, the sauce was only mildly warm, more due to the massive amount of chili powder in the sauce. The dish came with cilantro rice, black beans, and choice of flour or corn tortillas. She indicated she would not order that dish again, and after tasting it, I'd definitely agree with her. All in all, we had an ok meal, but there are definitely far better Mexican restaurants all over town. The best thing this place has going for it is its proximity to the mall and the ball park, the size of the restaurant, and its ambiance. While the staff we interacted with were very good, the food was merely mediocre. Return-worthy? IF we're at the mall and we're in the mood for Mexican, MAYBE, but neither of us would order the same dishes again. read more

So far every single time we've been here, which is often...the food is great ! Comes out super quick and for the most part the service is great. I know at times it gets extra busy and it's hard to grab someone when you need something but for the majority of our visits, they have been very attentive. Happy Hour is Amazing and the way over extended time you have for Happy hour is unbelievable. This is a pretty good Mexican restaurant in the middle of Downtown Summerlin. From the exterior and right when you walk in, you become immersed in the surroundings that exist in this location. We only got a sneak peak of what interior dining area which seemed like this huge white room which looked pretty cool. We ended up just going to the bar area because we didn't have to wait for a seat. The food we ordered was the con queso for happy hour and the tacos al carbon. Both are really good as you can't go wrong with tacos at a Mexican restaurant. Although the taco's were good, it was kind of missing something that we couldn't really put our finger on it. It's decent but it only comes with 2 tacos. The queso was really good as well, but the only bad part about it was that it was too much for us. The flavor feels repetitive so I'd suggest going with something else. Our server was a bartender since we were at the bar so it was pretty decent. Pretty sure he was busy with all the drink orders but that didn't bother us since we just needed to wait for our food. Pancho's has been on my list for a while, and I'm glad I finally made it to the one not too far away. Their Happy Hour runs until 7 PM, so there's plenty of time after work to swing by for discounted drinks and classic Mexican dishes. The Asada Nachos were massive and an absolute steal at under $20. The Taquitos Dorados were a solid portion, topped generously with pico de gallo, guacamole, sour cream, and cheese. The Carnitas Taco Plate was the most expensive thing we ordered--and the tacos themselves were huge--but I wasn't a fan of the pork flavor, so I'd probably skip those next time. The chips were fresh, salsa spicy, and both were never ending. We love the chips and salsa and my favorite dessert Tres Leches! Definitely enough to share with a date. There were 3 hostesses that looked like they would rather be anywhere else (8pm). Eye contact was made, no greeting or smile. Same with attitude on the phone when we called to see how busy they were. Maybe they were just having a bad day. I like Pancho's even though it's very Americanized Mexican dishes. The restaurant might be one of the nicest ones in town as far as all the beautiful details go and it is on the pricier side but we tend to stick to the fajitas and shrimp dishes which in my opinion are tasty and will feed about two people because portions here are very large. Service like most places is better some days but we always leave with happy tummies. Try to be say in the main room near the beautiful and dramatic stairs if possible because this area is by far the nicest. read more

Love the ambience and the overall look - reminiscent of an older, authentic Mexican restaurant, from the flooring to the stained glass windows. A basket of warm chips and salsa is already a great start to this meal. We ordered a variety of things - chimichanga, taquitos, sampler which had quesadilla, fried chicken, taquitos and flautas.
