    Old Fashioned w/ Maker's Mark
    Christopher S.

While waiting for friends, stopped by to grab a drink and burn some time while not trying to blow it all at the tables. Ordered an old fashioned and was offered any of their bourbons they had on the shelf. Menu also has all their spirits on there. Old fashioned was good! Just a little sweet, not overly so like I have tasted lately.

This place has fallen from the great hangout it use to be. Bartenders disappear for half an hour behind and you have to wait for the check. We miss the old crew here greatly!

Nice bar to come and have some drinks when you're down several hundred dollars and need something to take the ache and pain away of spending a second mortgage on a house you don't even own, when you realized the ladies of the night wandering around notice your husband is too poor to approach, and that drinking your pain away is a lot cheaper than gambling any more. This bar is expensive, and did I mention the several hundred dollars that I'm currently down, but they make really nice drinks. More of your old fashioned, fancy martini, Moscow mule variety, rather than the "free drinks" you get for gambling like Jack and Coke and pineapple and rum and stuff. I feel fancy here, and it actually helps to stem the bleeding from my open, but dwindling wallet. The bartenders are friendly, helpful in alcohol suggestions, and very nice. And it's feel good when you paid for a tasty drink that lasted a lot longer than the $300 you lost in less than an hour in the slots.

This place has a wonderful ambience and I really enjoy chatting with a female bartender. She is so sweet and always makes delicious cherry lemon drop martinis thank you.

Live music by Daniel Park! So cute and awesome!

Live music is always a hit on date night so it was a nice surprise when we got the Oxyx Bar and heard a guitarist singing! Daniel Park is a walking jukebox! Taking requests and kindly obliged to all of mine. Great music fabulous drinks and friendly service. An open air lounge so even if you're pulling the slots nearby you can enjoy his music without having to go inside the lounge. No cover charge! Follow him Daniel on Twitter (he also plays at Bellagio) and request your songs online! Small cozy bar located inside the Red Rock Casino across from the steak restaurant.

i will give it five stars. why not? all the barkeeps here are unfun, pretentious assholes. but...who cares?? not me. drinks are good. it's a beautiful spot.

This place very versatile. It has alot more to offer than meets the eye. There is a private back room that is perfect for larger groups. The bar is also great. There is an extensive selection of spirits. The cocktail list is well thought out. I have seen little change to the cocktail selection in some time. The wines are pretty good also. The staff is always very nice and informative. We're locals and will head here for a drink if we are looking for somewhere close to meet friends.

It was an excellent cocktail . . .

Is this place cigar friendly? I'd like to know if I can enjoy a cigar and a drink at this place or where I can do that at the casino.

When we were there last I noticed a handful of people enjoying cigars. In fact, I believe that you can even buy cigars at the bar or from your server. They also pour some unique bourbon, whiskey and scotch selections which go hand in hand with cigar…

Frankie's Uptown is known as a Steelers gathering spot, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd hope for: energetic, welcoming, and a great place to catch a game. I ordered the stromboli, and I'm convinced it turned my entire day around. I walked in hungry and left wondering if I should cancel my dinner plans for the rest of the week because nothing was going to top it. Our server was the perfect combination of sweet and sassy--quick with a smile, quick with a comeback, and she made our table of six feel like regulars. Great service can make a meal memorable, and she absolutely did. Speaking of our group... all six of us left happy, which may be the restaurant equivalent of witnessing a solar eclipse. Getting six people to agree on anything is a miracle, but Frankie's pulled it off. Whether you're there to cheer on the Steelers, enjoy a great meal, or just spend time with friends, Frankie's Uptown delivers on all three. A resounding YES was the reply when we asked if it was still happy hour (at 536pm). Happy Hour (Daily) is 3 PM - 6 PM with $7 fancy margaritas and snacks including ceviche, guac, queso, empanadas and chicken or carnitas street tacos. We were hungry and thirsty. She asked if we wanted to start with (thick warm) chips and salsa. YES, PLEASE! Wished the chips were saltier, but too lazy to ask for salt (which just causes water retention anyway). Salsa thin and almost smooth, with clear pieces of roasted red jalapeno pepper yes chipotle baby! Busy solo, our bartender eventually came around for our drink orders, and we both chose fancy margaritas. My Black (Berry) and Basil may have been the perfect cocktail ever. Sugar rimmer made sticky hands, but OMG I loved this sweet boozy concoction. Hubs ordered a Spicy Piña with pineapple and jalapeno slices. When he was about half done the bartender came around with extra and filled his glass again. Leftovers from the shaker, OH Yeah! While munching on the chips and salsa we decided on the chicken street tacos and the shrimp ceviche. The ceviche came in a small bowl with a huge pile of more chips. We probably could have eaten two orders of the shrimp part though! Rough chopped shrimp, peppers, onions tomatoes and a light broth were perfect on this hot day. The tacos were small on very soft fresh corn tortillas with a good portion of shredded chicken tinga. I was able to add the avocado that my husband removed from his ceviche and round out these tacos, which were only topped with cheese and sauce. Maybe some cabbage would be good here? These were just ok but I was hungry. Alas, the potent concoctions were enough that I only required one. I really wanted to get the spicy mango margarita too. Which will necessitate another visit to La Neta for happy hour again on our way back through town in a month!

The entrance is guarded by big, heavy doors (especially noticeable if there's any wind), and once inside it's cool, dark, and very spacious. They have a couple of pay-as-you-go pool tables, plenty of TVs showing various sports, plus bar seating and regular tables that were readily available. We arrived in the late afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. We claimed one of the pool tables and a server greeted us before long. They offer a solid selection of beers on tap along with the usual cocktails. We ended up coming back later that night after meeting up with more friends for a cover-band concert at Red Rock. This time it was around 10-11 PM, and the vibe was the same--very relaxed, still not too crowded, and service remained prompt. For late-night food we ordered the nachos, which were excellent and shouldn't be missed. They even make the chips fresh in-house. When I arrived, I was immediately assumed to be a food delivery driver. To be clear, there's nothing wrong with that line of work, but it was an incorrect assumption. I'm a corporate executive, and nothing about my appearance or how I presented myself warranted that kind of profiling. When I corrected her, it was clear she realized the assumption backfired, but there was no acknowledgment or apology, which made the interaction feel even more uncomfortable. Once I got the food home, things didn't improve. The club sandwich was overloaded with mayo to the point it was unpleasant, and the vegetables were wilted and clearly not fresh. The chili was especially disappointing honestly inedible. It tasted like canned chili with extra seasoning added in an attempt to make it seem more authentic and spicy, but it completely missed the mark. Someone else had the Caesar salad with chicken and described it as "fine," but that was the only neutral note in an otherwise poor experience. Overall, this was my first visit and will definitely be my last.
