This is such a cool bar on property at the Rio. It's a very Brazilian vibe in here and just so cool. The lounge seating is absolutely beautiful. I just got a gin and tonic, but next time I come back here, definitely grabbing one of their tropical cocktails which looked so good. There was live entertainment when we were here, too. Adhering to the Brazil vibe, it has a gold jaguar climbing the bar and a very chique vibe with pops of gold and patterned seat upholstery. And it's a perfectly convenient stop for a drink when meeting others in the lobby to leave for dinner. Bartender Christian is as friendly as all the staff at the Rio and took great care of us. The cocktail game is real and we had some excellent, beautiful drinks. There was a live singer some nights. Vibe: Sophisticated, Professional, and Energetic…read more For anyone looking to impress a client, close a deal, or celebrate a milestone with colleagues, finding the right venue for a business lunch can be a delicate balancing act. You need an environment that is sophisticated but not stuffy, lively but quiet enough for serious conversation, and supported by a culinary program that commands respect. The George Sportsmanship Lounge delivers on all of these fronts with remarkable grace, redefining what a modern business lunch can--and should--be. The Atmosphere: Polished Athletic Heritage Meets Executive Comfort Walking into George, you are immediately struck by how masterfully the design bridges the gap between a high-end club and a refined, modern lounge. The decor pays a tasteful, artistic homage to the spirit of "sportsmanship"--think rich leather banquettes, beautifully curated vintage sporting photography, warm walnut accents, and low, ambient lighting that feels incredibly exclusive. For a business lunch, the layout is exceptionally well-thought-out. The seating is spaced generously to offer genuine privacy for confidential conversations, and the acoustics are engineered beautifully; there is a vibrant hum of energy in the room, yet you never have to raise your voice to be heard across the table. It strikes the perfect balance of prestige and approachable comfort. The Food: A Masterclass in Contemporary American Cuisine While the ambiance sets the stage, the culinary execution is the true star of the show. The menu at George elevated our business lunch from a standard meeting into a memorable dining experience. We started with the Yellowtail Crudo, which was exceptionally fresh, accented with a vibrant citrus-yuzu vinaigrette and thinly sliced serrano peppers--a light, refreshing starter that perfectly primed the palate. For the mains, our table ordered the Dry-Aged Ribeye Frites and the Pan-Seared Chilean Sea Bass: The Ribeye: Cooked to a flawless medium-rare, the steak boasted an incredible crust and a rich, deeply savory flavor profile. Accompanied by truffle-infused hand-cut frites and a velvety chimichurri, it was a decadent but perfectly portioned lunch masterpiece. The Sea Bass: This dish was a revelation. Flaky, buttery, and resting on a bed of ginger-infused heirloom grains and baby bok choy, it was light enough for a midday meal while remaining deeply satisfying and complex in flavor. Even the non-alcoholic beverage program deserved applause; their mocktails, particularly the cucumber-basil press, were sophisticated and felt just as celebratory as a traditional cocktail. The Service: Impeccable, Swift, and Discreet Great food can easily be overshadowed by poor service, but at George, the staff understands the rhythm of a business lunch. From the moment we were greeted by the host, the service was seamless. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offering precise recommendations and timing the courses beautifully. Crucially for a business meeting, the staff practiced "discreet hospitality"--they were highly attentive, ensuring water glasses were always filled and plates were cleared promptly, yet they never interrupted the flow of our conversation at critical moments. The entire meal was paced perfectly, wrapping up within a comfortable 75 minutes, leaving us plenty of time to return to the office without feeling rushed. The Verdict The George Sportsmanship Lounge successfully shatters the mold of the traditional, outdated steakhouse business lunch. By combining a stunningly curated, upscale atmosphere with world-class gastronomy and highly professional service, they have created the ultimate venue for the modern executive. It is a masterclass in hospitality, and it has easily secured its spot as my go-to recommendation for lunch meetings. Highly Recommended for: Client entertainment, executive team lunches, and power midday dining.

Our server (the one with the cowboy tattoo on her left arm) didn't bring us water until about 10 minutes after we were seated. When she finally came over, we ordered an appetizer while we continued looking at the menu. After putting in the appetizer, she returned to the bar and spent a significant amount of time talking with the bartender. She made eye contact with us multiple times but never came over to check if we were ready to order. When she eventually returned, she reached for our menus as if we were finished, and we had to stop her to let her know we were actually ready to order our entrees. Considering we were the only table on the patio, we expected much more attentive service. The food was good, but unfortunately the service overshadowed the entire experience. I hope management addresses this, because the restaurant deserves service that matches the quality of its food.

It has a garage/automotive themed bar with extensive spirits selection and plenty of tvs for people that watch sports. They also had a few karaoke rooms we saw off to the sides, but didn't have a chance to check them out. The staff greeted us upon arrival and gave us a drink and food menu. Since we were not really hungry, we ended up splitting an order of mixed order of musubis--1 spam and 1 Portuguese sausage. We also got a couple of cocktails: Penicillin and Carajillo (with an extra shot of blanco tequila). The food came out immediately and was fresh and tender/juicy and flavorful. The drinks were made in front of us and the bartender took care to make them with the appropriate garnishes--ginger for the penicillin and an added orange peel for the carajillo. I also loved the branded P on the block of ice. Thought it was a nice touch. The bartender apologized for the lack of fresh espresso when it came to the Carajillo cocktail, but I honestly thought it was super tasty. They have a varied food selection, but we were only wanting something small to snack on, and these items were perfect. Prices were not astronomical, but this was definitely a bit more of an elevated experience. Service was excellent and the spirits selection (we perused the backbar and spirits list), which warrants a return visit. I also want a chance to check out the rest of the food menu in the future. Definitely will be back when we are in the area due to the great service and amazing selections available.

I cannot given enough praise to The Lakes for every experience we receive when we dine or pick up our meals. Whether you are eating in the restaurant itself or if going in later hours and eat at the bar, you will receive excellent service, excellent food and reasonable pricing for what you order. While I did enjoy the fish and chips, I now go and pick up "TheLakes burger" every time I choose The Lakes for a meal. Their burgers are cooked on a grill, with fresh, quality hamburger meat and cooked to your desired preference. The seasons they use on the fresh made patties is always spot on and you get that grilled taste that is just perfection. The burger is also never dry, so you really get all the flavor. Did i mention also that they are a half pound? The bun, which is a quality bread, is always flash grilled so it helps holdup to the burger and all its dressings. The lettuce, onions and tomato have been crisp and fresh every time I order it. Bacon is a good quality. The fries served as a side are some of the best steak fries I've had at a restaurant. If you prefer them saltier, you will have to add more salt to them although I prefer this due to it allows you to control how much salt you like on them. If you don't prefer steak fries, you can swap them out for regular fries or do what we do and upgrade to their onion rings. I'm not sure if they're battered there although I'm not worried because they always have a great crunch and taste amazing. I forgot to mention that on the fries, you can request Parmesan on them and although I'm not typically a fan of Parmesan l, they hit the spot. Service has always been above and beyond. Regardless of if dining in or just grabbing to eat at home, we are always treated warmly and professional. I would recommend if dining in to check their high volume times due to its a smaller seated restaurant but if you do have to wait, I highly recommend the wait. Between the great quality of service and food, it's a place that you have great options on food and the employees are personable. The Lakes will continue to be my new favorite local gem and I hope if you give them a try, you'll support them happily the way we do now.

It was 9PM on a Saturday, we spend a solid 30 minutes on my friend's driveway calling all the higher rated karaoke lounges in Las Vegas to hear they have higher hourly rates, similar minimums, availability 3 hours from now. We end up taking a gamble and coming here, the only place with availability, a rate that's 50% less than the venue that has availability now and 25% less than stuff with an opening at 11PM-1AM, armed with the 1* reviews of people complaining about the machine not working, charged a minimum of 2 hours, standard 18% gratuity. And we had a blast. Sure the machine was a little glitchy, nothing a little patience and clicking a different video couldn't fix, after asking if we wanted to order food twice, they realized we weren't and didn't ask again except to give us the 5-minutes, 10-minutes left warnings. There was a wine cork and tissue hidden in a recessed gap of the center table that to be fair a server looking through the door would not have been able to see and the bathroom floor was sticky, but overall an absolute deal.
