I stopped by this bar tonight and it didn't disappoint. The bartender, Kareem was very welcoming and had a fun personality. He was playing great music and kept the conversations going with all his guests. He provides fast service and kept a great attitude the whole time. Thanks Kareem!

They had some stuff I haven't tried so figured it would be neat to check out. The glassware, taps and wall appeared clean but glassware style and size options were lacking and no indication of when the lines were last cleaned. Would be nice to have some 5oz "taster" glasses as an option at the least. Also, no offer of instruction on how to pour the beer (although I'm well versed in the proper pour) didn't inspire confidence that people weren't reusing glasses or touching the spouts while pouring. Beer didn't pour well on most taps, and one of the kegs kicked leaving me with a bunch of foam. Beer prices were a little high per ounce compared to a pint around town, but the fact you can pour almost any size pour means you'll pay a little extra. Options were decent with some beers I've not seen elsewhere in town. Overall, it's not a spot I'd visit again unless there was some special beer I couldn't find anywhere else in the city.

But let's get straight to the issue- the HOSPITALITY! I don't like being negative- I want local businesses to thrive and reach more people, but I need to add this bit of criticism- Lately, coming here feels like you're rolling the dice- and going out to eat and being treated well shouldn't have to feel like a gamble. When I dine here, I don't feel welcome. The bartenders make it clear that they cater to some regulars more than others. It takes the bartender half an hour to get us started with drinks and a menu to look at the food. It's crazy- I come here so often know some of this establishment's staff by name now and yet, I'm met with this recent disservice- The other night I arrive here with my girlfriend to grab some food around 1 am. I see the bartender, Ryan, zooming around, refilling beer and shots, going in and out of the kitchen. It's not that busy of a Friday night- maybe a handful of couples and groups all sitting at the bar. He passed SEVERAL times by me, no acknowledgement, no "Hey, bear with me, I'll be right with ya." 1:30. He finally comes to us apologizing, gets us started on drinks and hands us the menu. We take a couple of minutes to decide. He stands around by the Pos and talks to another bartender (Andrew I think?), who came from the kitchen, then immediately left. Another 10-15 minutes pass. By this point, I was wondering if I should just walk out. Finally, Ryan comes to take our orders. Typically, a server or bartender leads the conversation, right? I'm sure you hear things like "what can I get started for you," or "how would you like your eggs cooked" or "how would you like your Steak cooked" - You've all heard those before, right? Well- nothing. No cue. No asking anything. It felt awkward. Uncomfortable. Unwelcoming. I don't even know if he was paying attention. At one point, it was ME who was the one asking my girlfriend "How do you want your eggs cooked?" when she asked to get the Steak and Eggs because there was ZERO response coming from our bartender to anything we said. The energy felt COMPLETELY off, so I just asked then and there for the check and left off to grab some Cane's instead. An absolutely dismal experience. I don't like making my reviews about me, but I felt like I needed to explain exactly why I'm upset about my recent visits here so anyone reading this can better understand instead of just reading a vague mention of how rude the staff was. Let's get to the Good Bar Bites I recommend if you do come here (maybe day time could give you a different experience): WSKY Burger- I recommend a medium on the patty! Very juicy- the crunch of the onion rings and candied bacon- One of my favorite burgers! Steakhouse sliders- tasty and sharable mini burgers! Although- I need some clarification- Can modifications be made to this dish? One day, while ordering over the phone, a bartender named Zach told me I cannot add an extra slider (I wanted 4 sliders instead of just the 3 that come on the order), I'd have to purchase two whole orders if I wanted more. What's this about? I've never had that issue before, so just curious. Flatbread Pizza- of course pizza is always awesome to munch on. The crunch on the flatbread is so satisfying I honestly don't think I'll be coming here anytime soon. It sucks. The bar looks beautiful, the food is delicious. But why have I been treated like an outsider lately? It's not worth going to a place, even if it has good food, if you're not going to be treated well.

The other options in town wanted a parent to be present or just didn't have the cool appeal. The screens at The George are just the best. I called for a reservation and was told for the UFC fight, there is a $50 minimum payment + 20% prepay. Hummus Duo hit the spot. The craft beers I had were good: Red Hydrant Brown Ale by Big Dog's, and Springfest IPA by Sierra Nevada. Pricing is relatively reasonable: $10 for the hummus appetizer; $8 per beer. Service was friendly and attentive. However, I wasn't told, until I got my bill, that there was a game day service charge of 20%. For my subtotal, this came out to $5.20. I didn't mind paying the fee for getting to watch the event on one of the big screens. However, I think this should have been disclosed to me before placing my order. Another thing I'm not a fan of are the angled arms of the patio chairs, which don't allow you to set your drink on them. Instead, you have to hold it by hand, between your thighs, or put it on the ground. They do have a limited number of stools to place food and drinks on, but you have to sit all the way up to use them. Lastly, why is Big Dog's Red Hydrant Brown Ale the only local beer on the menu? There are some standard craft beers that are well-known, but that's it. The selection is too limited to attract craft beer enthusiasts.
