We liked everything at our first visit: the convenient location near the freeway, the relaxed atmosphere, the range of non-alcoholic drinks, and the delicious food. Both the chicha morada and the maracuya passion drinks were flavorful and not too sweet. If you have never tried chicha morada, make sure you get some of this spice-scented punch. I had had the anticuchos, which was plenty for a light dinner despite being listed as an appetizer. The meat was about as chewy as a skirt steak, with rich flavor. If you like skirt or flank, you will like this. The tuco tuco with saltado de mariscos was another winner: lots of tender seafood in a pleasantly salty sauce with a huge and comforting rice and bean patty. Service wasn't too quick -- a large and joyous party ordered shortly before us -- but had time to sit back and admire all the dishes that looked and smelled wonderful. I was so impressed with Moia- such an amazing Peruvian restaurant in Vegas! We started with the Ceviche Tirana, and it was so fresh and delicious, with shrimp and cod that had the perfect citrusy balance. For mains, we got the Churrasco con Tallarín Verde, and wow...the steak was cooked perfectly and that pesto pasta was out of this world. my friend has come here multiple times I said I needed to come check it out! There is a lot of parking available which is great! They have a lot of menu options from sushi, ceviche, seafood,chicken, beef! The moment you walk in the ambiance is beautiful and lively, they have table seating here but it's very spacious inside, good for multiple people! Our server was really sweet and answered any questions we had on the dishes. The sushi roll was AMAZING. The pieces were large and the sauce on it was nothing like I've tasted before ( in a good way) a perfect tangy- sweetness ! I opted for the Lomo saltado a lo pobre. I've never had plantains before and they were cooked to perfection, I wasn't a fan of it being served over the fried because it made the fries softer but it was still good. The place doesn't look like much from the outside and not a very popular location but the inside is beautiful and welcoming. The music was low and relaxing in the background. We met with friends who raved about this place so we let our friends do most of the ordering. Funny but one of our friend ordered fried rice in a Peruvian restaurant and it was delicious. My favorites were the grilled plantain. I recently got my braces on so I was being careful of what I was eating. Soft food was my target so I ordered a curry fish with calamari dish. We were seated right away and our server were quick to bring us drinks and take our orders. I had to try a cocktail of course lol I think it was a Peruvian sangria. Overall the food and service was great. Ambience were great. Parking was great. Free parking and plenty of spaces. I've been waiting for an opportunity to come back here on special occasions. I would never have known there was this great Peruvian restaurant. The black doors as you entered looked like it was a bar. It's lively inside. The wall in the back has black light artwork. Loved the seating and decor inside. Each table had these tiny lamps that put out so much light for the table. Our server was very nice and sweet. She was able to take our order quickly. We ordered two Lomo Saltado, plantains, a Diet Coke, and Passionfruit juice. The drinks came out promptly. Diet Coke was in a can. Followed by our delicious food. This was the first time we were asked how we wanted the steak cooked. It was medium rare, perfectly cooked. The onions, tomatoes and fries were crisp but not overdone. The rice was cooked and seasoned well. The plantains were absolutely delicious. Fried well and perfectly sweet. I have no complaints about this restaurant, the service or ambiance. They offer a menu that is seafood heavy but offer enough dishes to please almost any appetite. Beer, wine, and the Passionfruit Whiskey Sour are offered. This restaurant was nominated for Rising Star by the Nevada Restaurant Association. We started off by sharing the Ceviche Pescado. They also served us a creamy spicy orange salsa and a milder creamy green salsa with it. I have to say it was a really GREAT ceviche that was just full of flavors and textures. I really enjoyed it. For my main I had the Pescado Plancha. It was also a large generous plate of food that was all good. I felt like embellishing it with the salsas and then it became more exciting. The only thing that wasn't for my taste was the Peruvian Beans. Not sure why? The Lomo Saltado Pobre (NY Steak & Eggs) had a lot more going on with it and also was tender and infused with good flavors. The portion sizes were large and generous for the ceviche and the mains. I was too full to save room for dessert and also took some of the food home. Prices here are extra reasonable. My dinner was only $17. (subject to change). Service was top notch! So I was worried about the food and flavor, and also I'm a vegetarian and the menu seems to not include us very much, BUT they made accommodations for me and made me a veggie fried rice! The ceviche pescado was excellent, and the sauce at the bottom of the bowl was so good it was hard to stop eating. The lomo was well seasoned, though I would have liked a little more vinegar flavor. Even without that extra kick, it was still enjoyable. The portion sizes are generous. I was able to share both dishes with three people, which worked out well since we wanted to sample different items before committing to full plates. I brought my parents with me, as I love to treat them to different types of food from around the world. I'll be honest, my parents are picky eaters at their age, and it can be a challenge to find something they both genuinely enjoy. This was one of the few times they not only cleaned their plates but couldn't stop complimenting the meal! Peruvian Nikkei cuisine or the cuisine of Peru influenced by Japanese immigrants. With its large, diverse menu, get ready to be impressed by Moia. To start, the "pulpo a la parrilla" (grilled octopus on crispy smashed potatoes in a creamy, Peruvian chili sauce topped with a raw salsa) is a flavor and textural explosion. Lots going on but in the end, strait up flavor bomb. Equally good, the "hamachi tiradito" (raw sliced hamachi in chili sauce topped by diced mango). The sweetness of the hamachi plays off the sweetness of the mango. The rich chili sauce adds earthy, complexity. Ceviches are a must. Tried several, top props to the "ceviche selvatico" (hamachi in coconut milk topped with fried calamari and shrimp). The creaminess of the coconut milk pairs beautifully with the buttery hamachi. Being a group of four, a couple of "parrilla mixta" (ribeye steak, chicken breast, pork chop, anticuchos and sausage with a side of fries and salad" served on a sizzling hot plate. Well seasoned, brushed with chimmi, and paired extremely well with additional sides of fried plantains, fried yucca and a salsa of raw onions, corn and chili. Of the mix, top props to the beef heart. Mineral, beefy goodness. Tip: Remove the ribeye and anticuchos quickly to prevent overcooking. Looking forward to trying some of their many seafood dishes. Very friendly and welcoming service. I've been meaning to visit this restaurant for a while since I kept seeing it on Instagram and I am so glad I finally did! I recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends and special holidays as it does fill up. The staff is extremely attentive, I've had Agustin a couple of times and he's wonderful. He gives great suggestions especially as a first timer with little knowledge of Peruvian cuisine. I recommend getting the Leche de Tigre ceviche and the Maracuya drink (non alcoholic). What can I say about Moia.... Simply amazing! I haven't had a ceviche in all of Las Vegas. You will be doing yourself a disservice if you judge this place by its exterior. The food here is spectacular. We had two Ceviche; de Pescado and the Tuna. I can't imagine there is a better ceviche outside of Peru! The portions are more than healthy we could have shared the order of steak fried rice I got. Only suggestion would be to have larger chunks of steak in the rice. The service is was top notch. Really enjoyed beef heart (tasted similar to beef tongue) and every other dish we ordered. The only thing is we ordered the meat medium rare but it came out close to well done. That was the only thing that was disappointing but every dish was so flavorful I absolutely loved everything we ordered. The fish in the ceviche mixto was cut very thin and absorbed the acids well. The beef in the lomo saltado was a little bit over cooked than medium rare. The flavor was still delicious.
