The good: -The manager (or perhaps owner) was super friendly and attentive. - Food: I had the mini-pancakes with eggs and veal bacon on the side and it was so good. The rest of the group had omelettes which were huge and yummy. Loved that they have fresh juices The bad: Can't think of anything. Final Verdict: A must if you want yummy breakfast. They also serve lunch and dinner!

Came here for some breakfast type of food although it was well into the evening. We really wanted American pancakes. As we stumbled upon this spot we did just that. We ordered American pancakes and since they didn't really serve eggs, we ordered a a plain yellow omelette with our choice of toppings. The syrup for the pancakes must have been some authentic syrup as it was very dark and thick. However it was very delicious. To drink I ordered Brazilian coffee with Kalua not realizing it was spiked. While there my boyfriend and myself noticed some other Americans there then we realized it was wack 100. Who knew we would run into a celebrity while here.

    1. Big portions, but the food was light. Lots and lots of options to choose from - you pick a pancake (more like a crepe), then can add toppings like honey, fruit, nutella, etc. 2. Inexpensive (~€10 per person with a drink) and good vegetarian options. 3. Nothing too special or out of the ordinary.

Great find! Clean, cozy restaurant. Friendly staff. Delicious food. Been looking for a Dutch pancake off the tourist path and loved this place. The menu is simple but it was exactly what we were looking for. My BF ordered the omelet which was 4-5 eggs. It was huge and fluffy. I ordered the Dutch pancake with bananas. Perfect. The restaurant filled in while we waited both inside and at several outside tables. Enjoyed the classic 70s rock tunes. Took our time and had a lovely meal. Would've gone back if we'd had time.

Fairly priced pancakes. Although the bottle of water on the table is an extra 5 euros and they don't tell you that. Besides that, good food and fast service! I ordered a pancake with chocolate, peanut butter, and strawberries

A tad pricey but good! They have endless crepe options. Their portions however are HUGE. I compare this food to diner food back in America. I recommend getting the plain omelette and a double espresso macchiato (even though it's not on the menu) because they serve it with a cookie!

Pancake Bar was awesome. I ordered a natural pancake with bananas and Nutella (nom nom nom) and my wife ordered an omelette. The water on the table isn't free, which is fine since we were thirsty. No wait to sit down but we came soon after they opened. Service was speedy for us, but then again we were one of the first ones to arrive. Great for some Dutch pancakes and not too pricey. Definitely recommended.

Dutch pancake with Chocolate sauce and strawberries and a blueberry syrup pancake

The service was a little slow considering we were the only ones in the restaurant, but the food was delicious and worth the wait. We went in for a quick bite, but ended up staying for a lot longer than expected due to the slower service. The portions are large though and it is very filling

Great place to grab breakfast. I had a savory pancake with ham, cheese, and banana. I have eaten a lot of different types of pancakes and these are truly special. If you're in the area and want an affordable breakfast check this place out!

    Dutch mini pancakes

The service was nice but the food portions compared to the price is a rip-off! Don't get the Dutch Mini pancakes...it's literally an appetizer not a meal...but they charge 9 euro plus 1 euro for jam!

Everything about this place was great!…read more I'll start with the service. We walked in around 4:10 and they didn't start food service for another 20 minutes. The waiter was super cool and told us to have a seat anywhere we liked and brought us a drink menu. He knew we wanted to eat so at exactly 4:30 he came and took our orders. Through out the meal he was on top of everything and even offered many suggestions! The food was spectacular as well. I had the trio of fries and my friends had other small plates that were all so good! And the sauces that come with the fries, mamma mia! We also shared the Boca's Platter and it was absolutely to die for. Do not pass this up. I repeat, do not pass this up! Between 4 people, the medium was plenty of food. The space itself was also nice. They had outdoor seating for nicer days. We went right when food service began on a Monday afternoon so can't speak to how busy it gets during peak hours. Go for the great service, go for the Boca Platter, whatever you do, just go!

The bruschetta was delicious and if you love blue cheese, get it...it's extremely rich and creamy. The three kinds of fries were solid; curly, sweet potato, and regular with some chili ketchups. The boca platter was HUGE and we got the medium for 4 people. Came with steak, fried shrimp, mackerel potato salad, crostini, and an assortment of cheeses and some pepperoni. Last but not least...my favorite...the tartare. The quail egg was delicately placed atop the center of the meat and placed alongside the four little crostini on the plate. It was juicy and had so much flavor, a little spicy but not an overwhelming amount of chili spice. This meal reminded me of tapas in Madrid; definitely stop by bocas and get everything!

Coffee & Coconuts, seriously another amazing cafe that I visited during my trip in Amsterdam!…read more This cafe is hidden on the outside, but once you step inside, it is massively huge with three stories of dining tables. After waiting to be seated, our hostess guided us upstairs to the third floor, where they have several more dining tables and cozy couches that you can sit on while you enjoy your coffee. My parents, having visited this cafe before during their last trip to Amsterdam, raved about this place and suggested that I try their famous coconut coffee. All three of us ordered their coconut coffee, with my dad adding an espresso shot to his own so that he could stay awake for the rest of the night. Once I reached that first sip, OMG. SO DELICIOUS. How can I make my own coconut coffee back at home?! I loved it so much that I really want to make a copycat of it. The straws are also bendable, which really makes it handy if you need to lower your straw a bit. If I could, I would get on a plane to Amsterdam just to come back for their coconut coffee. That's how delicious it is! Local or tourist, I strongly suggest Coffee & Coconuts. You will not regret coming here at all!

Excellent food and drink options…read more Casual, trendy, comfy spot for just coffee or a full meal. - Coconut Coffee: A delicious iced drink, rich in coconut and strong coffee flavors. - Royal Apple Juice: Very refreshing blend of apple, carrot, ginger & lime juice. - Kimchi Toast: Good, filling. Bathrooms are located on European first floor (for Americans, that's not the ground floor. It's equivalent to the 2nd floor).
