Apple Pie and Chocolate Hazelnut Pancakes!
    Aida R.

I heard about Mr. Stacks through Top Jaw's YouTube Channel, and it did not disappoint. As someone who's not vegan, I seriously didn't notice anything "lacking" at this vegan pancake spot. Both the Apple Pie and the Chocolate Hazelnut stacks were delicious--even the fruit on the side was fresh and brightened each bite! The interior vibe and service were great, too. I'm from the US and this spot puts our brunch scene to shame. I'll be recommending this place to any of my friends visiting Amsterdam!

Yet another Amsterdam place with dishes that look beautiful for Instagram. The presentation of the stacks are stellar, colors and plating done amazingly. They have plenty of tea options and you can have them with tapioca bubbles which we definitely liked a lot. I enjoyed the chai liquid nitrogen tea, though it could have been made even better would some milk I think. Unfortunately the cakes looked a lot better than it tasted. For me, the stacked "cakes" themselves were not to our liking. The cakes were much more cakey than my preference of fluffy pancakes. These were dense, and heavy thick chunks. The toppings were quite good though the fruit combined with the vegan cream and granola had lovely texture. We left having polished off all the toppings, but with more than one of the stack cakes left untouched. They are getting a new menu tomorrow though, so maybe would be worth combing back to try again.

I discovered this spot when searching for bubble tea and then saw the menu for vegan pancakes. I went around 10:30 and as a solo diner was seated quick. I had the hazelnut pancake and original bubble tea. Everything was really tasty and being made with vegan products was a huge plus. My stomach and body did not have any issues! Highly recommend going I believe the chocolate hazelnut is a favorite here but they also have savory options. Also there was accessible wifi so you can take a moment to Instagram or look up where you want to go afterward.

Breakfast is my love language. So naturally, when I saw the mouth-watering photos of Mr.Stacks online, I knew I had to go. I mean, have you ever seen pancakes so beautiful - let alone with sesame cotton candy on top? Drool. My partner and I visited while on our [too] short Amsterdam trip and we wished we could've gone a second time. Located near Amsterdam-Zuid, the Mr.Stacks space is just as avante garde as their pancake creations. Decked to the nines with neon colors, signs, and plants, you feel as though you've stepped foot into a tropical wonderland. Once we were seated, we watched as nearby tables were decorated with colorful stacks and faces were decorated with smiles. We thought, it's no wonder there was a wait out the door, this place is a treat. If you're pondering a spontaneous visit, don't be surprised to find others joining you at the door. Our breakfast order: PLANT BASED GYROS STACK - 1 large pancake, plant-based gyros, avocado tzatziki, greek salad, roasted potatoes, pickled red onions CINNAMON ROLLERCOASTER STACK - 3 pancakes, seasonal fruits, vanilla cream cheese, cinnamon frosting, pecan nuts, sesame cotton candy We were originally eyeing the "Vegan English Breakfast" stack on their savory menu [sold out due to popularity]. But we've never been more happy a dish was sold out because the plant-based gyros stack was absolutely unreal, definitely earning a spot at the top of my favorite things I've ever eaten list. Go here.

Hey Vegans and Non-Vegans -- basically anyone who's in Amsterdam -- you need to try Mr. Stacks. I still dream about these fluffy pancakes and whenever someone asks me "what was the best thing you ate in Europe" I tell them about these pancakes. Mr. Stacks offers sweet and savory pancakes and the plating is absolutely beautiful. Your Instagram feed and stomach will both be very pleased. I personally loved the Planted-based BBQ chicken stack, but honestly the Banana Breakfast Stack and Choco Protein Stack were amazing as well. Everyone at my table had a different favorite. If you're in Amsterdam, I HIGHLY recommend you go to Mr. Stacks. I know there's a lot of other pancake places in Amsterdam, but I guarantee you there's no other place like Mr. Stacks.

Bubble tea was ok. It was better at Jen Bing's food truck. But the chocolate hazelnut pancakes were really good. Very novel to have cotton candy on top. The restaurant has a nice ambiance. Overall, a good experience.

If you are vegan you have to go to Mr. Stacks. They have both sweet and savory pancakes; I decided to order the classic stack. The pancakes looked beautiful, and most importantly were flavorful and not too sweet. Definitely a good place for the gram as well. :)

What incredibly tasting pancakes! The place has a cool, modern, yet laidback vibe. I got the matcha pancakes and they were so incredibly thick, fluffy and delicious. My wife hates pancakes but she loved these because They were not too sweet, but still had a lot of flavor. Additionally, the presentation is incredibly beautiful. When your orders are ready the chef personally bring out your orders. What an incredibly friendly guy! The restaurant itself is clean and well taken care of. Our orders were brought out to us quickly and correctly. I just wish you had a location in the states. My wife and I will definitely be back the next time we are in Amsterdam. I want to try your cinnamon as well as the chocolate protein pancakes. Keep up the great work!

Very delicious pancakes!! I couldn't even tell they were vegan, they tasted just like normal yummy pancakes. Unfortunately I couldn't have them for dine in but definitely give this place a try if you're in the area

We noticed a lot of places serving pancakes so we decided to try some. This place had few reviews but the ones it had were all good. The general manage was very friendly and the staff was great. Pancakes were amazing. No syrup needed. Tasty with a mild sweetness and plenty of fresh fruit. I would definitely stop in. By the way, I'm not vegan but the food was definitely delicious.

My Favorite Pancake Place in the Netherlands. And everything on their menu is vegan didn't know that vegan pancakes could be so delicious. On top of that, the presentation of each of their dishes is just incredible. Definitely a recommend! Ging hier bijna wekelijks naar toe op t moment dat ik deze plek leerde kennen. Jammer genoeg was dat pas tijdens het laatste jaar van uni, maar écht té lekker gewoon!

We were there the day after Kings day and it was a lovely morning. The weather was cool, but not cold and we were able to enjoy the nice breeze and canal boats passing by. I was also able to connect to the WiFi from the Casino across the river. It was weak, but still worked. We were seated outside and waited almost 10 minutes before anyone came by to take our order for food and drinks. We ordered the banana crepe to share and I got a coffee while my wife ordered the pear juice. The pair juice comes from a bottle. The coffee was served in a small cup and was ok. I am used to drinking it with cream and sweetener. But Europeans don't have these items, so I just drank it with sugar. I think we waited almost 30 minutes before our food came out. Now, we only ordered crepes with bananas inside. Usually at the mall, it takes a few minutes to make crepes. I don't know how it took almost 30 minutes for them to make 1 item. Mind you, the place was not full when we came, so I don't understand how long we had to wait for our server to order our food and why it took so long for them to make our food. Once it finally came out, I thought the crepe was good, but not out of your mind fantastic. It's just basic tbh. Will I ever come back, probably not due to the wait time and the food wasn't all that great.

We went on a weekend when they exclusively serve their famous apple pie, and while the lines can get pretty long, ours actually moved very quickly. The setup is a bit of a hustle: you order at the counter, pay, and then have to hunt for a table (they have seating indoors and outdoors) while balancing your food. Finding an open spot can definitely be a challenge, but we got incredibly lucky and snagged a seat at a communal table right as our plates were handed to us. Logistics aside, the pie is entirely worth it. It's honestly one of the best I've ever had. The crust is beautifully buttery and crumbly, and the warm apples have the absolute perfect texture--a brilliant balance of sweet and tart. It's not overly sweet on its own, but with a generous mountain of whipped cream and a hot coffee, it made for a wonderfully rich afternoon snack. I know a lot of people rave about their chocolate milk too, but the coffee pairing was exactly what we needed. Highly recommend braving the line for this!
