Tomato bagel with hummus and roasted red peppers
    Alice C.

A cute little cafe a 5 min walk from the Van Gogh museum. Another yelper said the bagels were as good as New York's, so I couldn't wait to come and try. We both wanted the oatie bagel but they said the last shipment they have when they cut it open the bagels were hollow on the inside so they could not serve it. These bagels are really good though, makes me want to know where they get their shipment! I got the goat cheese walnut and honey on everything bagel. The boyfriend got the hummus and roasted red pepper on tomato bagel. Both were served on lightly toasted bagels toasted just right. The goat cheese and honey had a lovely sweet and savory twist to it, and I'm discovering that this combination is very popular in this country, I can definitely see why!

Looking for a quick, yummy, light, reasonable lunch near the museum quarter in Amsterdam we found this cafe jewel. Food: 5/5 Excellent choices and yummy food-the bagels were fresh, light, and toasted they made the sandwiches special-absolutely as good as New York bagels. Many choices for beverages. Loved the mocha macchiato and crisp teas. "Everything" bagel was delish. Service: 5/5 Quick and efficient. Perfect when visiting a city with lots of things to do and see. Facility: 4/5 Perfect location for walkers and near both major museums and the tram lines that take you all around the city. No convenient parking but you don't need a car in this city. Inside is TINY with only a few tables. We looked at menus and facilities of other restaurants in the area, including those at the museums and this one surpassed them all.

Good Morning with sesame sourdough bagel and cappuccino

Food: 4 | Service: 3.5 | Ambiance: 3 I was in Amsterdam for 3 days and 3 nights. I came here everyday for breakfast. Morning 1: I ordered the everything sourdough bagel with cucumber and dill cream cheese and a cappuccino. Total: 6.80€ Morning 2: I discovered the magic of the Good Morning. The Good morning comes with coffee (includes cappuccinos, lattes, etc) or tea, fresh orange juice, and a bagel with plain cream cheese and jam. (+ 2 little orange slices). Total: 5.95€ Morning 3: Had the Good Morning again. :) Basically, I think the Good Morning is the best bang for your buck if you're looking for a simple breakfast under 6€. The bagel tasted fresh and it was perfectly toasted and warm (recommend the everything sourdough, but the sesame sourdough was great too). I ate all of the cream cheese too because it's so creamy and fluffy! The fresh orange juice was the cherry on top too. Highly recommend this! Service can be slow since it gets busy in the mornings. The wait staff is friendly and helpful though. There is free wifi too!

Great spot to grab breakfast or lunch near the museums. It's less than a 5 minute walk and a way better and cheaper options than eating at the museum cafes. For the adventurous, their menu offers a bagel with bugs. We all passed and got our basic lox and cream cheese. Lol. Also, the matcha latte here was pretty good! There's free wi-fi and outlets available as well.

Meat free chilli con carne bagel was lovely! It's apparently won at award!

These bagels were nice and the range and options were good. The service and space was good too. I've only been here for coffee before but we decided to get bagels on this second visit. I went for the award winning meat free chilli con carne bagel on an everything bagel and my husband went for the carpaccio. We were both pleased. I needed to ask for butter should have really asked for cream cheese as my bagel didn't have anything except some lettuce under the salad so I think it's a case of they assume you want it healthier if you don't say. Im sure I'll go back as it was good and conveniently located for us too.

Wonderful smoked salmon bagel. Delicious chai tea. Great service. Nice environment. I'll be back tomorrow. The only negative is the restaurant has a very small seating area. I was lucky enough to snag a seat but many customers decided not to eat there as they couldn't sit down.

This was my first stop in Amsterdam after flying all night from Toronto. I found Bagels & Beans while looking up gluten-free friendly restaurants in Amsterdam. I picked this location because it's in Museumplein and close to the Van Gogh museum. The gluten-free bagel was delicious and filling. It was the first bagel I've had in nearly a decade. The staff was patient with my jetlag and super friendly. I will go back when in Amsterdam!

The options are plentiful with some truly tasty drinks and bagel sandwich combos. I recommend either the no stress juice or the Golden almond drink. The avocado and hummus on bagel was delicious. The bagels are average but flavorful, not a place for a true bagel snob but and excellent breakfast place to sit and enjoy before a museum visit.

I've never come across this company before but it was a great experience. I wish I'd logged in to their free wifi and read the reviews here before ordering. The hot chocolate looked awesome, hot milk with real chocolate to stir in! The staff, as with a lot of places, make or break a place and they were excellent here. Really nice and friendly, especially to say they are serving tourists all day. To give an example the rain and wind came in and blew the items off the outside tables all over the place. The staff ran out and diligently picked all rubbish, menus, everything up. It would have been easy to think "Amsterdam is full of litter, why bother" but they didn't. They were friendly and helpful throughout. I would definitely check out a Bagels & Beans again.

Ever been on a trip and you love a place so much that you JUST have to keep coming back to it over…read moreand over again? Well, that was us with Koffie Academie. We were here three times during our stay in Amsterdam, and I think I found my brand new favorite coffee shop in the city, and I was really sad that I had to leave it behind when our vacation was over. The most convenient part is that it was within walking distance of our hotel and right across from the train station. To keep a piece of Koffie Academie with me back at home in the States, I chose to buy a bag of their Rwanda-style coffee beans. On our first visit, I just had their cappuccino alone since it was later in the afternoon and I had already had lunch, but during the second and third visit, I tried their croissants. Amsterdam, hands down, has the BEST coffee ever. I think way better than the coffee in other European countries we've visited during our trip so far. I had to put sugar in my cappuccino during every visit to make it sweeter (sugar cubes and sugar packets are available). This was my parents' second time in Amsterdam and they stuck with their mochas, which they had before. Both the croissants I had were flaky on the outside and buttery on the inside. My mom had their coconut square treat which, I believe, had either strawberries or raspberries inside with a solid chocolate topping. While I didn't get the chance to try it, I thought that it looked delicious! I think I want to try this during my next trip to Amsterdam. Koffie Academie, you have not been forgotten in my memory. Can't wait to see you again upon my return to Amsterdam in the near future!

What a brilliant cortado!…read more I arrived in town before I could check in so I settled here to answer some emails while I wait. What a cozy cafe with brilliant coffee. My cortado was excellent and while I didn't purchase any the baked sweets looked very appetizing. I came back 2 more times during my stay in Amsterdam which is very unlike me because I like to try many cafes when I travel. Fyi - the espresso is quite strong for my taste so if that is something you're sensitive to then adjust your order.
