Amazing ! Very friendly & nice atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay. The house cat is very cute and greets all customers.

What an AMAZING find. The food is phenomenal and definitely tastes fresh and is such high quality. I ordered coffee and "Spiegeleiera auf parmaschinken mit rucola" Basically toast with salted ham parmigiana and two eggs over easy. Wow. It was amazing and completely filling while light and fresh. English speaking. Very cute inside dining area and even a small outdoor patio. I sat inside though because it's a little chilly outside.

Great service. Very European. Super sweet owner who makes you feel very welcome. Deep chocolate flavors, and the salmon bagel was everything you want after a weekend in Amsterdam. The Dutch radio sets the mood.

Very wholesome little cafe that's perfect for an early morning coffee or breakfast. Very friendly staff, cute courtyard, reasonable prices, and a big cat that makes itself at home on your table.

I love a good modern café that has plenty of space to sit on spacious and comfortable couches, but I also like a little scrappy and unique coffee house. Not that modern coffee places can't be unique, but there is something about old buildings that just make coffee taste better - It's in the air. Their coffee is from Thailand and you can choose between cow's milk and soy. Besides coffee, you have a range of choices from fruit juice, fruit and yogurt shakes, hot Italian sandwiches, soups and salads, to bagels and sweet and savoury pies from their own kitchen. Although their coffee didn't make me go wow, I did enjoy a cup of well brewed cappuccino. Upon entering the little shop, something all the way in the back caught my eye. It was a terrace! When asked where I would like to sit, I immediately pointed towards the light coming through the leaves and the trees, and I couldn't be happier with my seating choice. It's just perfect so you have sunlight on your face, but not directly because it's partially blocked by the leaves. There is a breeze that is just enough wind, and it's quiet. It's a little oasis in the middle of a extremely busy area of Amsterdam.

Such a cute place! Went there around 9am, it was practically empty. They have an outdoor terrace which is a total catch. If you get a chance to go this early, you will be lucky to witness the baking of pies. Get ready for the best smells of your life! Looks good for breakfast, wide variety of options and juices (fresh) and warm drinks

Lovely little coffee shop with delicious homemade cakes! Tried the apple pie and was delighted with the home made 'mum' feeling that it evokes. Was more happy to see they had a soy milk option for their hot drinks too. Coffee and apple pie was a great way for a mid tea time break. Mostly locals inside but they were very friendly to us - sadly could not find the cat :( If coming here try a cake and a coffee maybe even the brunch?

    Beautiful view towards the backyard

Wonderful oasis with great food and super friendly staff. Will definitely come again when I'm Amsterdam!

Great hole in the wall breakfast place! It's a really small cafe but I went with large group and they had enough room for all of us. It's also super cheap! I got the smoked salmon bagel for 5 Euros! The only down side is that they don't have alcoholic beverages and they didn't have coffee when I was there :/

I'm happy to have finally found a cozy little cafe to escape to. The patio is lovely when the sun is out but if it's raining you're limited to siting inside which is just as pleasant. The menu is simple and straight to the point. Also, there are always fresh flowers.

    Beautiful café!

This is such a cute café. You can sit close to the patio or window where you get wonderful day light. You have a wide range of choices for breakfast. I had the omelet with serano ham and Gorgonzola and it was absolutely amazing!!! And good prices as well!!! It was worth a 20 mn walk.

The food was so good I forgot to take a picture before I ate it. Also, the fresh orange juice was good, not too sweet.

I was not impressed by the warm bread roll. Orange juice didn't seem fresh. Coffee was good and service was friendly.

Everything about this place was great!…read more I'll start with the service. We walked in around 4:10 and they didn't start food service for another 20 minutes. The waiter was super cool and told us to have a seat anywhere we liked and brought us a drink menu. He knew we wanted to eat so at exactly 4:30 he came and took our orders. Through out the meal he was on top of everything and even offered many suggestions! The food was spectacular as well. I had the trio of fries and my friends had other small plates that were all so good! And the sauces that come with the fries, mamma mia! We also shared the Boca's Platter and it was absolutely to die for. Do not pass this up. I repeat, do not pass this up! Between 4 people, the medium was plenty of food. The space itself was also nice. They had outdoor seating for nicer days. We went right when food service began on a Monday afternoon so can't speak to how busy it gets during peak hours. Go for the great service, go for the Boca Platter, whatever you do, just go!

The bruschetta was delicious and if you love blue cheese, get it...it's extremely rich and creamy. The three kinds of fries were solid; curly, sweet potato, and regular with some chili ketchups. The boca platter was HUGE and we got the medium for 4 people. Came with steak, fried shrimp, mackerel potato salad, crostini, and an assortment of cheeses and some pepperoni. Last but not least...my favorite...the tartare. The quail egg was delicately placed atop the center of the meat and placed alongside the four little crostini on the plate. It was juicy and had so much flavor, a little spicy but not an overwhelming amount of chili spice. This meal reminded me of tapas in Madrid; definitely stop by bocas and get everything!

Coffee & Coconuts, seriously another amazing cafe that I visited during my trip in Amsterdam!…read more This cafe is hidden on the outside, but once you step inside, it is massively huge with three stories of dining tables. After waiting to be seated, our hostess guided us upstairs to the third floor, where they have several more dining tables and cozy couches that you can sit on while you enjoy your coffee. My parents, having visited this cafe before during their last trip to Amsterdam, raved about this place and suggested that I try their famous coconut coffee. All three of us ordered their coconut coffee, with my dad adding an espresso shot to his own so that he could stay awake for the rest of the night. Once I reached that first sip, OMG. SO DELICIOUS. How can I make my own coconut coffee back at home?! I loved it so much that I really want to make a copycat of it. The straws are also bendable, which really makes it handy if you need to lower your straw a bit. If I could, I would get on a plane to Amsterdam just to come back for their coconut coffee. That's how delicious it is! Local or tourist, I strongly suggest Coffee & Coconuts. You will not regret coming here at all!
