Super healthy and no added agave. My body felt better drinking it and I was prepared with healthy energy for the long day of walking. (110 calories) Energy balls - the coconut ball was good. Nothing to write home about, but I think it's because the whole thing is made of something like 3-4 ingredients. It's healthy, so it wasn't to-die for delicious, but it did the job in giving me nutrition and energy. It was delicious, ok, but not like a dessert ;) (190 cals) Matcha ball - haven't had this one yet. Excited for it. (210 cals) "Lasagna" - OMG AMAZING. I wasn't expecting much, but it was incredibly delicious. I also got some croissant and it tasted fresh and soft. The place itself is small but has plenty of seats and tables and some outlets for charging your laptop if you are there to work (fast and working free wifi also available). The only problem with this place is that I could not find an english menu and did not have a chance to order other things because I don't really ynderstand dutch. As much as I enjoyed my experience here for the first two days, the third day I went the barista (this time different-it was a man) was different and unlike the the other two baristas on previous days he was pretty rude to me. He made an offensive face because I asked what's the size of your coffee and he started making it before I even tell him I want it and when I said i actually want cappuccino and he had to toss the ground coffee he had put aside. I apologized and tried to explain that I didn't know he has already started to make the coffee and he ignored my explanation. Later I saw he actually talks nicely and greets other people which made me feel very discriminated as a foreign middle easterner.

I ordered ahead via the Joe and the Juice app, and my party of 3 ordered a drink each - we chose a hot latte and two Iced Gingerbread lattes, there was a bit of a wait for the drinks but they were busy so it was understandable. The beverage quality was good, I liked the flavour of the gingerbread, which was exclusive to the Christmas season, as my visit came in mid-December 2023, and the overall quality of the coffee was good. They ended up making me an extra drink, as they must have got confused, after letting them know, I noticed that they gave this extra drink to another customer, saying "This is on us", it seemed like a nice gesture and ensured the extra drink didn't go to waste. The staff here seemed very friendly and they appeared to be trying their best, despite dealing with a rush of orders from coffees to smoothies. The seating area was fine, but not as comfortable as other Joe & The Juice locations around the city. The vibes inside the store were pretty chill and laid back, there was a lot of room too for customers waiting to pick up their orders which I liked, as it can sometimes feel a little cramped in that scramble for your drink. 4* - Friendly staff, good coffee quality that was worth the wait. The location is fairly cute, on the corner of the street, it just has nice vibes about it as you enter. I visited here on two occasions during my 2023 trip to The Netherlands, on both occasions I ordered an Iced Gingerbread Latte, which is my go-to beverage at Joe & The Juice right now. On both occasions, the staff were friendly and were able to communicate with me politely in English, and my drink arrived in good time and tasted good. The interior is both comfortable and attractive but space is limited, including seating, so you might struggle to get a table at most times during the day, there is a larger location nearby on Beethovenstraat if you want more of a guarantee of getting a table. They are open until 8 pm which is useful if you like a coffee in the evening, they seem a little quieter then too so you're more able to relax compared to during the day when it can get a little too crowded for my liking.
