My boss and I stumbled across this adorable cafe early one morning when our original breakfast spot wasn't open. We both ordered the bacon and egg croissant. We ordered Poffertjes to split. It was a delicious and filling breakfast! The service was great, however there isn't much seating. So make sure you arrive early.

Two friends and I came here during the day for some lunch once we arrived in Amsterdam. It was busy, so we had to wait a little bit. Everyone inside was very kind and remembered that we were waiting despite there being so many people trying to eat. We sat in a cute booth in the corner against the window under a neon "Feed me" sign. The seating and the decor gave off a cute cafe aesthetic and the nice staff topped it all off! We got our food pretty quickly as well, which tasted delicious and was cheap! My friend got the apple and bacon Dutch pancake while my other friend got the veggie burger. I got the Prins burger and we all shared sweet potato fries. Everything was yummy and fresh! The pancake was sweet and soft which contrasted nicely with the salty crunch of the bacon. The Prins burger was a typical juicy burger and the sweet potato fries were piping hot and crispy. I didn't try the veggie burger, but my friend said it was the best veggie burger he's ever had, including the rest of the duration of our trip in Europe. I definitely recommend stopping in here for breakfast or lunch! Super cute little place with nice staff and good prices.

Prins Heerlijk is an absolute gem! I stopped here with my husband after we saw the line at another spot we were eyeing for breakfast. We were able to squeeze into a tiny one/two person booth at Prins Heerlijk and ordered a cafe latte, ham and cheese omelette, and a Dutch apple pancake. We were next to the open kitchen/register/prep space and got to watch everything as we sat and chatted. The cafe may be small, but they were turning out delicious food and drinks to people that were both coming and going. The waitstaff were friendly, attentive, and seemed to be in genuinely happy moods. Our food and drinks came out in appropriate amounts of time and were amazing! Yet another large, beautifully cooked pancake in Amsterdam and jam-packed omelette for the two of us. I particularly liked their pancake because it was crispy only at the very edge of edges and soft and moist (like a sponge almost) the rest of the way through. I honestly don't know how they're traditionally supposed to be, but I liked it the way Prins Herlijk made it. Their sandwich menu looked very good, and I bet is worth the try!

One of the best breakfasts I've had in my life!! The portion size is generous, and the food is delicious. What else can you ask for? Given its central location, I'd thought it's mostly a tourist trap. However, the food is delicious, and service is efficient. What a pleasant surprise. The menu is simple and straightforward. You have a few options for pancakes or other breakfast plates. They also have mint tea with honey, one of my favorite delights to sip on while traveling around Europe! I had the Dutch pancake with apple, and it was delicious. The sweet potato fries were cooked well. Everything was perfect.

Meals are delicious with emphasis on fresh ingredients. Space is small, but service is efficient and friendly. There might be a short wait, but the food is worth the time. Note, some customers wait inside after ordering their meals to take out and enjoy. For late breakfast, I chose the cold salmon sandwich. The bread was toasty and salmon was perfect. There is a small side of lettuce and pickles..also quite good. This quaint eatery is absolutely perfect for breakfast or lunch. It's located a short walk from the Amersterdam Centraal train station and several hotels.

Excellent breakfast stop that is open til the late hours of the night! We came here on a weeknight at 22:00 and to our surprise, the place was still bumpin' with patrons enjoying some of the best food we've had all week in Amsterdam. Prins Heerlijk is really close to Central Station and is an easy walk. They're right next to another restaurant that has a gaudy Statue of Liberty on its rooftop - vive le France! We were seated right at the front which was great for people watching. My friend and I each ordered an entree and split their humongous chocolate banana pancake which we could not wait until dessert time to try. I opted for the beef tartar sandwich (€7) which was an absolute steal! The tartar was spread across and sprinkled with onions and boiled eggs over a fine toasted sub. Fries were included which makes it even better. The food here was absolutely amazing and the service was definitely up there. They were friendly and spoke with us about their experiences going abroad too. I'm sure they get a lot of tourists so it's nice to see some genuinely awesome people working in such a hub. If you're feeling up for an inexpensive meal with great flavors and service, then look no further!

Prefect mixture of breakfast and lunch. Good food, fresh and friendly made from fresh ingredients. You are able to eat in and outside the restaurant. It's also possible to the away your meals. It may take a while to be able to order, because it's very liked by tourists and inhabitants.

My family and I stayed in the NH Collection hotel right across from this place, and wandered over one day for breakfast. Let's just say... over the course of 6 days, we ate there 4 times. Don't mind the small cozy setting, because service is fast and the wait is never long. I've never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for a table for 3. I was always greeted with amazing service (they all spoke fluent English for all the nervous tourists out there!!). Although seating is definitely on the cramped side, the food and service makes up for it. Through my many visits, I've had the Dutch Pancakes with chocolate and banana, the prince burger, and the Salmon Eggs; all 3 of which I STRONGLY recommend. Everything is reasonably priced. But if I had to recommend one thing it would be the Prince Burger. THAT SAUCE IS PHENOMENAL; at first glance, I was kind of worried about the bun, but NO. Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had; it's simple, tasty, and 8 euros!!! I could not recommend this enough. Coffee is good but not exceptional, I've had the flat white the cappuccino. Overall, this is the most positive restaurant experience I've had in Amsterdam. 100/10 RECOMMEND!!

Was craving a coffee and stumbled upon this cute little "breakfast all day" restaurant. There was a nice outdoor seating area that really drew our attention so my friends and I checked it out. We only ordered coffees and that's enough to know how awesome this place is. The ladies working were incredibly sweet! They made our orders with love and all of us agreed we wished we ordered two of everything! My iced coffee wasn't a cold brew, but it also didn't taste watered down yet still very cold. They added in some caramel flavoring with the soy milk and ohhhhhh yes, super tasty. If I'm ever around the area again and hungry, I'd definitely check out their food. (And of course order an iced coffee)

May 6, 2017 Saturday - 9 AM for breakfast 4 adults Atmosphere - 5 stars Food -5 stars Service - 5 stars Background - Time to have a real breakfast, after earlier this morning we had a light one to prevent hangry people. Okay we prevented me from becoming hangry. Atmosphere - Small place near the train station and it was constantly going with people in and out. We only waited a few minutes for a table to clear so we could sit inside on this chilly morning. Tables are tight but worth it. Food Drink - A large Americano that is what I needed. Breakfast - Dutch pancakes, yes please. I picked mine with apples. This pancake was closer to crepe than an American pancake. Thin slices of apples were cooked right into the pancake. Loved my choice, and would get them again. I ordered a side of sausage to get that protein in me. Two small links for a Euro had a great snap to casing. Service - Our waitress was friendly, and working the room with ease. The food came out fast which allowed us to start our day without issues. Future - Yes.

Loved this breakfast place. The staff were very friendly and we were seated right away. Service was also very fast. The food was delicious!

The Dutch pancakes are delicious. Yes, more like French crepes than American pancakes. Thin and light. The butter and sugar was the kind i had.. yummy!!! The yogurt was delicious too! Full of fruit and served parfait style, in layers in a cup. Looks great, tastes great!

Really good breakfast food in the heart of Amsterdam. As usual I'm Amsterdam, the service was great with just the right amount of attentiveness. Our waitresses were very sweet and so wats our pancake! What topped it off was the chef singing Donna Summers' Upside Down while he was cooking.

Good tasting pancakes however I wish they had a bit more variety or options. Maybe some bacon or other breakfast meats.

Happy to report I was very right. I grabbed one of the many outside seats, took a look at the menu that was entirely in Dutch and waited for the wonderful waitress to quickly translate nearly every item for me. I landed on the chicken club and it hit the spot. I arrived hungry but could still only manage to finish half. Chicken was grilled perfectly into thin slices, soft boiled egg was a new touch that I loved, avocado, lettuce and probably a few other things I am forgetting. Oh, and a handful of crisps on the side. On my next visit, it was my last night in Amsterdam and I still haven't tried the infamous fries. I stopped in around 9:30 for a late night snack and a hot ginger tea. The fries were the perfect fries! Thin, crispy, salty. I loved. I also can get behind the mayo thing they do here, even though I really am a ketchup loyalist. Anyway, lunch or dinner or late night snack, this is a good spot. You'll like the foot and you'll love sitting outside people watching, reading your book, whatever.
