Really liked Pana's Coffee. We came here to get some work done, plenty of seating and free wifi. The service was nice and helpful. The only con about this place is that their music is really loud which makes it hard to focus sometimes but headphones help! We got the Pana's latte, and it was really good but definitely on the sweeter side, even at 20% sweetness. I'm guessing it's because of the condensed milk but if you have a sweet tooth, this drink would be perfect for you. Next time, I'd probably order it even less sweet. Their other drinks also look really intriguing, so I'd definitely want to come back and try more. Parking was easy too. Overall, I'd definitely come back here to study again!

Service was prompt and attentive, despite them being slammed with a bunch of orders the I arrived at 715am. I ordered the Pana Latte. Oat milk as a default sold me immediately. Good drink hot. Had the monkey bread also. Super tasty warmed up. All in all, a great local spot for coffee. I wish it would open earlier so I can stop in more often but alas, not everyone has an early morning. For those of us that do, a great cup of coffee would definitely help but I'll stope when I can.

I tried the Cookie Butter Latte and El Abuelo. The foam on the Cookie Butter Latte was amazing, but the coffee itself didn't taste much like cookie butter. It was decent overall, just not something I'd order again. The El Abuelo, unfortunately, wasn't good to me. It tasted watered down, and the foam wasn't very sweet or flavorful. Overall, I loved the atmosphere, the space, and the menu, but the drinks I tried didn't hit the mark. I'd still come back to try something different because the vibe is great

Came in to this spot twice on my lunch break, and was greeted with positivity. It was quick and to the point when you order, so customer service was spot on. The choice of drinks were interesting for sure, I tend to rush myself when ordering so I didn't really check all the options but I know they had some good drinks. If you're passing through on the 5 in Commerce its definitely worth it to check this place out. It's only about a mile off the freeway. The coffee is so good. I ordered the cookie butter latte which was fantastic. My family loved their coffees as well and to top it off - pun intended- they can put cool designs in your cold foam. Staff is very friendly as well which is a bonus. This place is just as good as Labora in San Diego (one of my favorites there). read more

My sister saw them on Instagram and the pop up she wanted to go check out was opening too late so we went on a 45 min drive with traffic to come try this little coffee place. I was going to be a bit butthurt if it was bad. lol They deserve the 5 star rating. We ordered 4 drinks and they were all good. Strawberry matcha tasted like strawberry milk to me. I would never order matcha anyway since I'm very picky but I would order one next time. No powdery texture it was drinkable. Cookie butter ? latte was good too. Nothing was overly sweet. My coconut cold brew float was pretty good. 50% sweetened like the girl who took our ordered recommended was just right and our dads latte was really good too! The baristas did a great job making our requests. Solid little spot I'd comeback. Matcha has a beautiful color but not as umami as I like so I'll probably get it without the strawberry see how it is if you like it more umami. Also very clean! read more

A welcome handcrafted coffee shop in the area! I only got a flavored iced coffee but it was good and I'd rather spend my money there than at Starbucks across the street. They don't have any non-pastry breakfast items but when I asked, they said they planned on adding some protein breakfast items soon. Stopped by Pana's Cafe in early December for a matcha. I had seen a review that mentioned snoopy designs on any drinks that have cold foam. As a snoopy lover I had to stop by. The service was great, the staff was extremely friendly and quick to get drinks out. I had a few questions about drinks mentioned in their winter menu and they were more than happy to answer. I stayed for a few hours to finish up a paper for one of my classes. The ambiance was nice, not too loud (and great music). I ordered the Mila's Matcha Latte and got the snoopy design and took an extra drink to go for my sister with a different design. I am planning on going back soon! read more

Ive been to many coffee shops I mean many with specialty drinks. Pana's coffee is in my top 30. As mentioned I've been to many places. I've had the cookie butter 3 times now, the s'mores latte (holiday) and I believe the Abuelo. I will admit that they can be sweet. The coffee can get hidden however I asked for a second shot inside and it leveled it completely. And that's not to take away from the taste. I just love strong and sweet as my preference. That banana matcha is dummy bomb. Only been here once but it was a good experience! Friendly staff, spacious and comfortable seating with open lighting. Only downside I can say is the drink was packed with ice so I finished the drink wanting more lol but overall great spot. Happy I found this place! read more

I LOVE LOVE LOVE PANAS!! Best Cafe, the ambience of their commerce location is top notch and their coffee is even better. I'm from south central and make that drive every Sunday, but ever since they started opening their South central location on Florence, I am there 3x a weekend. It was perfect for the heat and a great way to cool off. It was not too sweet and fresh. It reminded me of the smoothie version of the dole whip soft serve. The customer service was friendly and efficient. I definitely want to come back and try other items or even work from the seated area.

Parking is scarce, but that's not being taken in consideration as part of the rating, just wanted to make it aware for others. I ordered a Oaxacan Mocha latte with coconut milk. I give a 3/5. I like the dark chocolatey taste of it, and I loved the hint of canela, but it tasted water based. I also ordered their horchata matcha latte, 3/5 as well. Same thing, tasted water based, ordered it with almond milk. I'm not much of a sweet person, so if you like sweet drinks then this is it for you and your rating will be probably higher than mines. The place is very aesthetic, kind of gives off the vibe like you're in a tree house haha. Overall, it's an aesthetic coffee shop with decent coffee. Would definitely go come to try the rest of the coffees.

Searching down the map for the drive back from LA, saw this interesting thing. And great reviews from others sealed the deal to try it out. Online ordering with pick up time was very convenient. Driving down, got a text about 5 min before pick up time, just perfect. Cute and super clean store. Friendly gal grabbed the order for me and I was off in no time. Got the party pack (30) for the school staff, and of course had to try for myself too with a regular (9). Ended up being an hour and a half before I got around to trying our box of 9. Looked interesting enough. Kid took his bite and said yum. I took mine to the sink (lol) to catch any crumbs, but surprised me that it's not just a ball of a regular donut. This had an amazingly satisfying crispy crunchy exterior, with an airy chewy interior! I can't imagine how much better it would be when freshly made at the store! Even an hour and a half later was delicious... Me and the kid quickly devoured our 3 each and struggled to leave 3 for wife before we had to go to an activity. When we returned, wife was also raving, what was that, where did you get it? Trust me, you will not be able to eat just one. I'm greedy, I definitely want more than 3 next time! Donut ball itself wasn't overly sweet, just delicious period. I guess it's the toppings that add the sweetness. Only tried the classic (honey cinnamon, walnut). The other flavors will probably be amazing desserts, but I think all I need is just the donut ball by itself. Honey and walnut adds a bit of sweetness and bite, but the base donut ball is a shining star on it's own in my book! Good thing was the honey was mostly on the bottom and walnut crumbles on top, so you can rub as much or not of those as it fits you. Few days later, each of us were still talking about this greek donut. Just looking for a reason to grab this again. Father's day is coming up, I think it's time for a Party!

The interior is modern-industrial, with plenty of seating for studying -- or, if you prefer, you can sit on the outside patio and enjoy a scenic view of the city. The line is usually long, especially on weekends, but the staff are efficient and helpful, and most importantly, the matcha is good. It's more vegetal than I prefer, but its creaminess and full-bodied taste make up for the grassiness. They do lots of food, as well as a matcha tiramisu that they only make limited batches of daily. If you're ever in downtown LA and need a matcha fix + a cute place to R&R, AOU is your place!
