I was a loyal fan to this place since day 1, It used to be a mom pop shop but now they seem to leave it to the workers and they are just awful. But lately they have just up prices and their food quality has been downgrading. Your order is always missing some thing, their meat has more fat than meat, the Consome use to be full a flavor now it seems like it's watered down. I hope the owners read this and realize how their business is loosing clients because of many inconveniences. read more

Never had Birrieria but met an out-of-town friend there because he was running an errand in the neighborhood. Didn't know what to get so I played it safe and ordered the burrito. I was a little concerned when they put it on the pickup counter 'cuz it looked small. Then I picked it up. It was HEAVY! Sat in the comfortable mini-patio (sadly, looking at their dumpster) and unwrapped it. It was cut in half so I could see it was packed, really packed. I ate half and took the other half home (they offered to repack it for travel) and had it for dinner the next day. It was so fat I decided that next time, I'd have them cut it into 3 pieces - I was too stuffed after eating each half - and I have a big appetite! Took off 1 star for two reasons; inside the burrito, half was birrieria and half was rice and beans. The problem there was the rice and beans overpowered the star of the show, the birrieria. 2nd reason; their FABULOUS red sauce comes in a baggie tied tightly at the top. You have to cut off a corner and squirt it on your food, but it's tied so tight that when I cut the corner, it squirted all over the place like a mini fire hose. I get it, it saves on the waste of those mini plastic cups we're all familiar with, but those cups are much easier to control. Will I be back? Absolutely. But I'll definitely order the birrieria plate so I can enjoy the incredible meat and control the rice and bean intake. read more

They also serve Burgers as every LA restaurant should! Everyone can feast here, even vegetarians. They have Nopal, too! The Birria itself...I have had better in my life, but it's a good Beef Birria. Plenty of parking. They share the lot with a Starbucks so everyone does drive thru for their drinks and the parking is always plenty. The service is great. So many places make you wait when you call in an order but every time I request for them to have an order ready for pick up it is. The food is always hot and taste freshly made. All the seasonings are done right no matter how you eat the birria. With all the variety from tacos to soups nothing disappoints . There is plenty of room to dine in but I have always ordered to go. The aguas frescas are well made too. It does look hidden due to the Starbucks sign taking all the attention. If you get a chance to stop by, make sure you do so. read more
