Carne Asada Nachos with an Horchata drink. Salsa and pickled jalapeños
    Gabby A.

Best nachos. The chips here are different from your usual Mexican taco place. These are not from a bag that you can buy anywhere. These look like the chips are fried in house. You can also get these nachos with your choice of meat. I strongly recommend the asada. They will give you salsa and pickled jalapeños with giant carrots and onions on the side. The pickled carrots and onions look like they are also pickled in-house. It's just perfect. Today I tried the flauta plate. The flautas were okay. The plate comes with rice and beans. The flautas come on a bed of lettuce and topped with guacamole. I like my flautas with lettuce, sour cream and salsa, so I purchased some sour cream for $.75. I shared the plate with my daughter. I'm not sure that I'll order again. The tacos are always good and I think it's their most popular item on the menu.

    Receipt proof!

First time trying this place out and the last time I will. What an outdated place ONLY CASH??? Literally NO debit/credit accepted...like it's 2024 get with the program and get a card machine. The guy at the window definitely needs to work on his customer service and the place definitely needs some fresh paint, outdoor cleaning and a updated menu with prices. I've had better Asada nachos than this place. Don't be fooled they add literally just a scoop of Asada at the top and dump a whole lotta cheese and chips. So stingy with the meat portion like I paid for Asada nachos not just a bunch of canned cheese with chips. If you want Asada nachos you're better off going somewhere else like KT or elsewhere. What's even worst is they charge for sour cream like how money hungry can an establishment be smh. For $13 you get a scoop of meat and a load of cheese/chips you've been warned.

Hands down a hidden gem. I hadn't come to this place in over 5 years but it taste exactly as it did all that time ago. The flavor is unmatched! My go to is the wet burrito with green salsa that packs HEAT carne asada inside with rice and pinto beans is the perfect trifecta. As mentioned the salsa verde has flavor and heat is not for those who don't do well with spicy. The burrito is definitely in my top 5. Always add the guac and lettuce for a nice touch. It is CASH ONLY!! Reminder for those who feel a spur of the moment burrito binge bring cash!! It doesn't look like much on the outside but Indio Azteca will blow you away.

Sometimes the best food comes from these kinda rundown looking places. In this AZ case, even the chicken was great and it was white meat, which was very unusual. The cashier (,mom,) spoke no spanish, but the cook said the chicken is cooked in a sauce with onions and peppers. That chicken, plus rice and whole pinto beans and cilantro etc made for a memorable burrito. I added a 75 cents side of guacamole which was a perfect compliment to the chicken. Eat outside to get the full experience.

My dad ordered the Ceviche Nayarit, I ordered the Enchiladas La Casita Mexicana and my wife ordered the Enchiladas Tres Moles. The ceviche tasted fresh, but not really my favorite dish were had. I would say the Enchiladas Tres Moles was my favorite dish we picked. My only problem with that dish was that I wanted more. The plate they served it on made the 3 Enchiladas look small. Customer service was great. Food was great. The interior/exterior was really nice. If you have dogs the patio section in the back is where you'll want to eat from. Great experience. I'd come here again.

I forgot exactly what I had, I want to say it was bistec ranchero or something like that. it was good, nothing bad, but also felt average. They served us chips with mole on top and I was like, why did they pour mole all over, bring a little bucket of mole and let me dip it on the side. That's what a good Christian would do, but no, they went with an anti-Christian practice here, communist almost. don't assume I want everything with mole. I would have been ok with it if the mole had been bomb ass good, but it was ok. I had heard this place used original Oaxacan mole or something so I was hyped. My wife had some eggs with whatever the heck a Filipino woman orders at a Mexican place and she's was fine. I feel bad about this review, maybe this place is a victim of its former reputation, and I was expecting very good Mexican food and all I got was OK Mexican food. Also, for a true Mexican spot, you need to have café Mexicano, with canelita and the waiter told me they didn't have any. How can this be? I do not approve. Maybe if you are white or non-Mexican or a fake Mexican, I think you would have a different opinion of this place, you might think is great, just like El Torito is. Am I confusing this place with some other restaurant because the place I heard of was in Bell and the cooks/chefs were this renowned chefs and I don't think that's the case here or now. For sure, this place is not bad and I don't think you will get bad food, it was just underwhelming.

For us, that's El Ranchito in Huntington Park. It's a family-owned, authentic Mexican restaurant that has had the community on its back for the last 6 decades. They hand-make the tortillas right in front of you, serve up fresh chunky guac, and make their iconic Mama Avila's soup fresh daily. It's rare that a soup has me hitting a stank face, but here we are. The Camarones al mojo de ajo is a can't miss appetizer. It's succulent shrimp sauteed in butter and fresh garlic, made to be eaten with the piping hot homemade tortillas. They have all the traditional Mexican dishes, my brothers go to is the chile relleno, but I always just run the fajitas. I'm sure I'll get clowned for this, but nothing heals my trauma and existential dread like a plate of sizzling fajitas. My pops has worked in the area for longer than I've been alive, so El Ranchito has seen every iteration of me, and of my family. For that, I am grateful. I'll be coming here until the wheels fall off. EL RANCHITO ALL STARS!!! IG @johnny.novo Tiktok @jnov__ Substack @johnnynovo

The meatballs are tender and have a perfect flavor profile of herbs and spice. Honestly, nothing disappoints here. The Pollo in Mole is also delicious. The tortillas are fresh and hand made. The Pollo con Rajas is creamy, cheesy, flavorful and the chicken has always been juicy underneath all that sauce, cooked perfectly.
