    Delicious B.

Today was my first time to this place. I was looking for a doughnut shop in the area and passed one up so I had to bust a U turn but as I was making a U turn the smell and the sweet aroma of fresh baked goods hit me and had me making doughnuts in the street, braking my neck trying to follow the smell! Lol! The concha's we're by far the best I have ever had. I bought two with a coffee I would've bought more to take home, but I told my Husband I was on a Atkins diet so I couldn't show up with them to the house I will definitely be returning sooner then later! And lovely customer service!

This place was amazingly delicious. I ordered my childhood favorite dish sincronizada and my wife ordered the pambazo. We also ordered their empanadas. I must say this joint exceeded my expectations. I found a new regular spot to go to.

I ordered the strawberry cream croissant, and it was absolutely amazing. It was light, airy, and not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. The pastry itself was perfectly flaky and buttery every bite was delicious. I can definitely see why this place is such a big hit! I also tried the iced condensed coffee. It was definitely strong, but also incredibly creamy with just the right amount of sweetness. It paired perfectly with the croissant. Another plus is that they have plenty of parking and lots of seating, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a coffee and dessert. If you're looking for a delicious pastry and a good cup of coffee, this is a wonderful little spot to check out.

Few key notes: * There's a small free private parking lot and it is almost never 100% full even during busy hours. * While the bakery closes at 7 PM, come before lunch hours to get the full selection of baked goods and refrigerated sandwich options; otherwise, many of these items sell out before closing time. * Plenty of indoor tables, but no outdoor seating. * S-tier items: strawberry croissant, sticky bun, steamed pork bun. * A-tier items: half turkey avocado sandwich, pork katsu sandwich box. * B-tier items: almond croissant, drip coffee. This is a nice grab-and-go spot for anyone who is looking for a quick bite and quality baked goods. Personally, this is not an ideal first-date spot or a place for really good coffee - stick with places like Corridor Flow just few blocks away.

I consider myself a bit of a "Sourdough Snob" and I had heard about Colossus a while back but didn't know that there was one (or are there 2?) in San Pedro. I went on a sourdough quest in San Francisco a few months back and I think I found the absolute best sourdough in that city. And Colossus's version, the Country Levain, is right up there! Great crust and chew and flavor is awesome. We got a medium Country Levain and a medium Levain with Cumin and Olives....that cumin and olives....wow, so freaking good and unique. Loaves were about $10-$14 and service was great and super friendly. We didn't try anything else but the sweet treats and coffees looked good. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The Country Loaf is their basic bread, very moist, great for anything, even eating it plain. Here lies the first Pecan Sticky Bun that I can call exceptional since Joanne Chang's from Flour in Boston. Then there's a Vegan Pumpkin Chocolate Cookie and a classic chocolate chip, both amazing. Good bread, great bakes - you can tell they're made by a pastry chef because they're so polished and refined. Great bakes, please try!
