I took my niece here after her choir recital and had the best experience. The customer service is great, very attentive and they come by often checking on you. I had a black mango tea and my niece had the smoothie. Both were delicious. We had the egg rolls and wings for starters, very fresh, hot and crispy. I ended up with the spicy hand noodles and my niece with the pan fried dumplings. Honestly was a great meal and the price you couldn't beat. Stoped on our way back from Palm Springs and was pleasantly surprised by the variety and tastes of Pan Dumpling house. Family of 4 (with teen boys) ate and enjoyed in order of preference. -beef roll pancake -wide hand pulled noodles -Xiao Long Bao -scallion pancake -green beans -wonton with chili oil The beef roll pancake as others have said is amazing! Thinly sliced beef, greens and rolled in a crispy pancake. Would make a wonderful lunch by itself for one person. The sauce on the wide hand pulled noodles was flavorful and not too hot even for those who aren't spicy fans. They had baby bok choi in the sauce and it got all eaten up too! The XLB are made in the restaurant and you can watch the chefs prepping them through the window like at Din Tai Fung. Quality also similar to DTF for those who know. The scallion pancakes weren't too greasy and nicely crisp. The green beans had pieces of onion and some fermented black beans which is not how I usually see it presented. It was otherwise as expected. Both are solid options for ordering. We did not care for the chili oil wontons. Too spicy for me - just not what the hubby enjoys either. Both boys refused to try them from the look. We sat outside because we had the dog with us and it was only partially shaded. They were busy (line outside to eat inside) and it took us a little bit to order but the food came out quickly after that and the price was very reasonable for what we ate. Ok.. so usually you know it's gonna be good when a bunch of people are waiting outside the door. But I didn't know it was gonna be THIS good. While we waited we looked over the menu. Walking in it was so good to see a thriving community of diversity with families from young to golden. We settled in and saw the fresh dumplings being made and sounds of seers and orders flying out. Pan fried veggie dumplings were little flavor bombs with the contrasting crunchy texture. Dipping sauce, soy sauce and chili oil on everything! The scallion pancakes were a little flatter version than I've been used to but it was still golden crispy with those sprinkles of scallions. Wonton with chili oil was delicate, wide hand pulled noodles a quick tossing and it comes alive. Shu mai in a bamboo steamer a delicious juicy bite. I was so excited to try this place. It did not disappoint. The prices are really good and the portions are huge. It is intended to be enjoyed as family style. We tried to tell our group that but I guess we were all really hungry. Our server was really nice and attentive and they accommodated our large group, I think we had 11 people. This is a delayed review. When we first started coming here over two years ago the dumplings and the cold noodles were outstanding! However, in subsequent visits the quality started to change. Our last, and final visit was in July 2025, we ordered the shrimp and pork dumplings, cold noodles and chicken wings. We got three wings, this was a rip off, and lacking flavor. The dumplings wrapping seem over worked and was tough. The filling was okay but again quantity of filling seemed smaller. The cold noodles were a disappointment in both flavor, too bland and portion size. It seems this place was sold and someone else is running it. So sorry to leave, but I would rather drive to LA for some quality dim sum and noodles. read more

As a California native, I'm familiar with the restaurants in LA Chinatown, San Gabriel Valley, and the Orange County area. I confess to being ignorant about Chinese food in the Inland Empire. When a Chinese friend invited us to a CNY dinner in Corona, I was skeptical. Hubby said this restaurant is where his friend takes his family, so that was slightly reassuring. I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the meal at China Dragon! A week later, we needed to pick up something in Corona, so I checked Yelp for restaurant suggestions. We were seated immediately when we stopped by for lunch. I was delighted to see a glass enclosure where 2 ladies were assembling dumplings! We ordered Xiao Long Bao (10 per order), Shao Mai (8 per order), Beef Roll Pancake, and Honey Walnut Shrimp. We liked the dumplings and there was plenty of cilantro in the Beef Roll Pancake. The Honey Walnut Shrimp actually had pecans, which was fine. Other Yelp photos also showed pecans, so that must be their version. I was happy that the hot tea came in a real teapot with tea cups. Nowadays, the norm seems to be big mugs with tea bags, so I appreciated the more traditional setup. The food came quickly, and the service was fine. Pan Dumpling House is in a shopping center, so parking was not a problem. On a recent return trip from Mtn High, we were in search of a nearby restaurant that served up a nice hot bowl of noodle soup after spending a day in the cold on the slopes. Thanks to Yelp and their reviewers who rated Pan Dumpling House a 4.6, so we decided to try it out and we were so satisfied that we did. It was during the dinner hour on a Tuesday night, but there were already quite a few parties seated by the time we arrived. By the time we finished our dinner, every table had been taken...most times that's a good sign! Service was friendly and attentive which is a bonus at a Chinese restaurant, and prices are reasonable too. My favorite dishes were the Beef Roll Pancake, Glass Noodle in Chili Sauce and their Shrimp and Pork Dumplings. I appreciated that they gave me the option to add Wide Hand Pulled Noodles to my Clear Broth Beef Noodle Soup, but the broth was unfortunately a bit too bland for my liking. The Shao Mai were good but in my head, I was comparing them to the same dish at Din Tai Fung which may be an unfair comparison. All in all, Pan Dumpling House exceeded our expectations and we were surprised to find this hidden gem all the way out in Corona.
