Had to bring in my car to get fixed because someone backed up into my car and scrapped my driver side bumper and door. Tried to find a place close to work so that it was convenient. I worked with Luciana and she was extremely helpful. I had to get a rental for about a week or so and I really appreciated the updates whether it be the automated ones or her phone calls. Upon receiving my car back I noticed that my car wasn't running smoothly. I have a 2017 Honda Accord and it's pretty new with no prior accidents. Drove it back to work still but when I tried to leave work my car didn't start. I assume the battery died from being in the shop but not sure if that was the case or not. Hoping nothing was damaged internally to my car. I gave the shop a call the next morning to let them know the situation and they sent Adrian to check on my car. He brought it back to the shop to run a diagnostic test on the battery and charged it as well. He then dropped off my car to my work they were done. Again I appreciate them going out of their way to help me resolve the issue. I would definitely recommend this place. If I ever need body work I'd bring it here again. But let's cross my fingers that I don't need to!! read more

Excellent customer service - actually I mean *exemplary* customer service - I always knew where my car was in the process, and Luisana (sp?) went above and beyond to help me get a rental car from Enterprise (in Sunnyvale), which while I'm here, shout out to the Enterprise service too - they were also terrific. I had a very good experience at Pan American. My car was scratched on the left door with a big half circle dark mark. Since there is no dent, I thought it may need some paint work. This body shop was referred by my insurance company. After I arrive, a lady came out checking my car condition, she was quite honest saying they can try to see whether they can wipe the mark out with the degreaser. And it turns out to be magic that it works really well! The mark almost gone (can only see a tiny mark under the sunshine), and they didn't charge me anything as well. It saves me a lot money, and they also told me they would not report it to my insurance company. I would highly recommend to my friends! read more

This review is for a bumper repair covered by the insurance of the person who hit me from behind, so I didn't pay anything. Customer Service: Your average, friendly, helpful service. No unkindness, no Ritz-level frills. Workmanship: Outstanding. My bumper is like new, except that I got my Prius pre-owned so it's probably better than new. They didn't replace it, just removed it, repaired it and repainted it. They gave me a lifetime warrantee on the work they did as long as I own the vehicle. They also washed and vacuumed the vehicle, which made it feel clean and fresh when I got it back. Timeframe: I had just a bunch of minor scratches, and it took a little under 48 hours before they called to tell me the car would be finished shortly. This is GREAT little body shop, with very reasonable rates and and great customer service. I had to replace the wheel liners on my Prius, and went first to the Toyota dealer in Palo Alto. OMG, what a terrible experience. They gave me two estimates: one for labor written on the back of a business card, and the parts (which I had to go the parts guy for) for which they loaded up the parts list for all kinds of screws and unnecessary stuff. Total: $900! Needless to say I left, and thought of Pan American, near my home. Within ten minutes, I had an estimate for $300, and they promised to finish the job in one day. Not only did they finish the job as promised, but the total cost was less than the estimate. I will NEVER EVER go to a Toyota dealer again, and if you need body work, this place is a GREAT choice! read more

Had to install a mirror signal light. As it was an easy 20m job, they took the car immediately, and charged me for less than the estimate.

We had a frustrating experience with Pan American. We were told the repairs would take two weeks, actually took over a month. After initial texts, no status was provided on dates that were promised job completion (which were then moved). The quote was also revised several times. All in all not a great experience, I recommend looking for other places (even if, like in our case, AAA Insurance tries to push you to go to Pan American). read more

These guys short circuited my car and refused to take any responsibility, leaving me with the extra cost of replacing electrical modules as well as forcing me to pay extra for the rental car as the car was in their care well past the predicted 5 day repair time. If you are coming here from a triple AAA covered repair I would please advise to go elsewhere as what should have been an stress free procedure became a very costly and very stressful process. Edit: they made good and took care of reparations but I think only after pressure was applied from my AAA claims adjuster so not sure how much of it was their decision. read more

Their color matching is not the best, The bumper replaced was a tiny bit darker than the rest of the car. The color difference is really obvious under the sun but I can live with it. Joseph offered to redo the paint but I'm too busy with school and work to come back. He should never release a car unless it's done right. But like I said before, I can live with it. They really work fast but I'd rather wait 3 days if it means they'd do a better job. read more

A couple months ago, I came home to a note on my car. My neighbor had accidentally dented my bumper pretty badly. This is the first time I've been in an "accident," so I went to yelp for help. I went to a few places for estimates. 2 of them (one being PAN American) seemed to be pretty similar, and the third just seemed incredibly sketchy. The wait time on PAN was pretty quick, and the other one was a bit longer, so I went with PAN since it had a great review and was a little closer to my place. Chris helped me, and he was fantastic. He was funny and even though I originally came in nervous since I've never done anything like this before and have heard horror stories about car repairs, he talked with me professionally and put me at ease. He went over everything, asked a few questions, took pictures, and said they'd give me updates. They did the repairs in a timely fashion and with the newly painted bumper, it's the best looking part of my car now. This body shop is absolutely amazing. I found them through my insurance company after my car was hit by an Uber driver and Yellowcab (yes, ironic) while parked in front of my apartment in SF. Initially I was routed to a shop on Divisadero, which is close to where I live, but the service was horrible. I tried my insurance company again and asked them for a place closer to where I work. Voila! Pan American had amazing reviews (really, all their locations did) so I gave them a call and they told me to come in the next day. The next day, I drove to Pan American, expecting it would take some time for them to be able to start working on the repairs but they told me they could take it in right away and would call the rental car company to pick me up. (If that's not service, I don't know what is.) Chris Lopez was awesome and walked around my car with me, circling the different damaged sections of my new Audi A4 (mostly the rear passenger door, the rear quarter panel, the driver side door, and the rocker panel.) The damage was pretty extensive so I expected it would take a long time to fix but Chris called me every week to give me updates and online on repairview.com I could also see images of my car during the repair process. I also noticed when I was there that there were many Audis and other German cars. Chris told me that they are an Audi-certified repair shop. Whew! Anyway, long story short, the damage to my car was about $9300 and they were able to fix it in 16 days. I have a brand-new rear passenger door and the paint looks awesome. They even told me to drop off my rental there and they would call the rental car company to come pick it up. Seriously, they made my life a lot easier during this time and I'd be thrilled to refer anyone to them. read more

This is the only time that I have had to go to a body shop, and I have heard horror stories about other body shops in the area, so I was pretty nervous about the process. Contrary to my fears, the people at Pan American Collision Center are fantastic and genuine. Their work is also top quality. During the estimate, they quoted me for a spot job, but after making the fix locally, the painter was not satisfied with the quality and ended up repainting the entire hood for free. 1. Watch out for more mileage in your car after you get it from this repair shop. My car had 500 more miles than when I submitted it for repair with this repair shop. 2. It took them 47 days to fix a 15-mile-rear-ender. It was not even a large impact. (And they dared to tell me that they want a 5 rating before I submitted my car). 3. The workers are like car-salesmen (shady). They forget who you are and why you're there. (and this by meeting with the same person 4x with an appointment with him). He said:"yes, how can I help you?" I said: "I have an appointment with you ...!?" (for the 3rd time). I said: "you don't remember anyone do you?" 4. Will never recommend this place to my enemies. I went in and just like that I was given an estimate on what I needed. I went in to Pan American to get someone to look at an accidental car, but the help that I received from Louis was PHENOMENAL!!!! He was extremely warm and we ended up getting my car (Mercedes CLK) looked over as well (apart from the accidental car). Louis replaced the rims of one of my wheels, came over to my house and spent time to go over the other car, gave me sound advice and came across as a trusted adviser....and to top it all, with NO CHARGE to me!!! unreal. I insisted on compensating Louis for his time, but he said that he believed in building long term relationships.... I have lived in many countries, but have NEVER come across anything like this. It's been a few months since I went to Pan American, but I've been meaning to leave a review :) I first found Pan American back in March, after a car ran a red light and hit my Subaru Forester. I picked Pan American due to proximity to my apt and previous Yelp reviews, and I'm very glad I went there. Fred Villota is awesome. He was very clear in explaining the repairs needed and in promptly following up with my concerns/questions. He also dealt with the other insurance agency, saving me a lot of work and time. Would highly recommend Fred and the entire body shop staff. My first day there, one of the other gentlemen even helped me back out my car onto the busy street, which in my opinion went above and beyond any type of help or service I've ever received at another body shop. Arrived early, was told to wait, then was told I had no appointment, then was told that my appointment was with their sister location (I'd specifically asked for this one). I asked if I could have a walk-in quote and they refused. There is probably never a good time to get rear ended in your car and then sandwiched between two Toyotas, but - on the way to a medical procedure that requires a full bladder has got to be one of the worst. I took my car into Pan American Collision Center in Mountain View, after pre-approval by my insurance, for an initial estimate. Everyone was friendly and Louis and Enrique seemed to know their stuff. When the parts came in I took my car in and left it for repair. In the meantime, a big mess had occurred with the insurance company such that they did not approve the rear end damage to my car. Louis got on it immediately and called me and told me what I needed to do and reassured me that this happens. After contacting the insurance company I found out that the mistake likely had something to do with the front most driver's statement which seemed to suggest that she had forgotten there was a third car involved that had caused me to hit her. Even though we all pulled over into a parking lot and exchanged details - all three drivers! Anyway, Louis sorted it swiftly, with a written statement from me to him which he forwarded to the insurance company - with the pictures of all three cars that I took at the scene. He also went over and above to solve a fuel gauge problem I observed at no extra charge. I got my car back in two days. Bottom line. I felt very well taken care of by the body shop folks. Louis is energetic, with a reassuring, patient, helpful, and kind manner and it was a pleasure to be around. It felt a bit like having your Dad around (even though he's probably not the same age as mine). :-). These folks are trustworthy and know how to deliver good service. Pan American Collision Center (Mountain View location) is absolutely excellent! I had pulled my front bumper off and stopped in to see if they could fix it. I expected them to give me a time to come back and get it fixed but they offered to do it right then and complete the project in twenty minutes. While waiting for my car, the two ladies inside the waiting area were so kind, friendly and hospitable and offered me coffee and water. The inside was clean, well kept and just a nice place to wait. They were true to their word and had everything fixed up (they even replaced my burnt out headlight). They also explained everything they did and why which I very much appreciated! To top it all off, they did not charge a dime. I was floored and would highly recommend this specific PACC location to everyone! Not being from around the Mountain View area, I was unsure of where I could trust to get my car fixed at a trustworthy price. PACC is definitely the place to go. Had a dent on the side of the driver door, which was making an annoying sound when the door opened or closed. Went here by taking an appointment. Was welcomed warmly with drink(water) offer. This is a highly professional, 5 star shop. If you have a Tesla, this is the place to take your car to (Yes, they are Tesla certified). My '07 Model S got hit in the rear quarter panel. Absolutely not ! I guess it takes an edge case to know how good a business is. Currently, I have a dispute with them over who is responsible if the car comes back with some malfunction. In my case the tail light is not working. My assertion is that it was working fine when I left the car with them and after they replaced the bumper, it stopped working; hence they are responsible. Their position is that it could be due to wear & tear and needs diagnostics to be done by BMW and I could be liable for that cost. Another point to note is that they didn't check if the lights are fine as they have to replace the bumper and the tail light cover. One would expect that there is some quality check would be there which obviously wasn't the case here. read more
