My son and I ate here yesterday for the first time. The service from walking in till we left was great! The food and pricing were just GREAT! My son had the grandma pancakes with chocolate chips and sausage and I had the steak sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayo and I added onions and cheese along its fries and their house made coleslaw...everything was sooo good! We stopped in for a late breakfast. I ordered the breakfast casserole... YUMMMMM!!! Crescent rolls on the bottom, eggs and sausage crumbled with a niceeee thick layer of cheese on top. It was so delicious!!! Hubby had a meat lovers omelet and said it was good!! The place is little, but so quaint. It was noisy. But in a good, happy way. People knew each other and are very familiar. This place should have more reviews. Yes it is small and downtown home vibe, but the moment we walked in and smelled the goodness being cooked we knew we would be happy. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. We got our coffee & a chocolate milk for my hubby. Was not poured from a bottle it was handmade and delicious. I ordered a single egg w/bacon, rye toast, home fries & onions. My husband got a western omelette w/grits and a biscuit. All of our food was so tasty and more than enough, we ended up taking half of it home. We will be visiting again for breakfast and lunch next visit to town. read more

It was odd location. But once you step into the Diner your greeted with friendly people. The service was quick and complete. Had the Everday Omelet Bacon loved it and plenty of bacon plus my husband enjoyed the Everyday Omelet Sausage equally great. Toast and Hashbrowns. I ate everything and enjoyed. I've noticed over the past year the quality of food has been going down. When they announced a change in ownership I was hoping it would be better but I was disappointed. It looks like they have some of the same staff they had before and apparently the same cook. To start, I ordered coffee which was brought out in a dirty mug. I asked the waitress to bring me a clean one because I didn't want to wear someone else's lipstick. When the food arrived, the only thing on my plate that was warm were the eggs. The "hash browns" were cold and tasted like they had been cook with old grease, the toast was slathered with some type of margarine that tasted funky instead of real butter and the tenderloin had the same old grease taste the potatoes had. Maybe they need to clean the cooktop. I left half my meal on the plate. There was a reason why we stopped going there and today they didn't give me a reason to ever return. But if all your after is eggs and grits or oats this is a cheap place to go. read more

Probably more of a 2.5, but 3 is alright by me. If you are looking for artisan avocado toast and a latte- go somewhere else- this is an all American small town diner. PROS - Loved the no nonsense diner vibe - Value matched the menu, portion size, place - Service was quick and friendly - Consistent production( we all got close to the same thing and it all looked identical) CONS - Food wasn't overly tasty - Hashbrowns were no bueno BOTTOMLINE: I am not going to beat up a place that isn't pretending to be something it's not. The first time I was there, I smelled cigarette smoke, probably an employee at the back not making sure back door was closed. Today, the two-seat booths were all occupied or were closed. I sat on one of the bigger booths (not enough comfortable space for four persons). There was another person seating alone on one of the bigger booths. The grumpy and rude very old lady, probably owner or manager, said she wanted me to move to one for two persons that was CLOSED FOR COVID. The grumpy old one didn't say "please" or asked, it was more like a command, an order. I said that was that booth was closed and she just took the sugar, salt and peeper from my table to put it where on the closed table, "you have to sit here". I took my things and left. I am sorry for the waiter, she was always nice to me. Grumpy and angry old one should learn manners from her. NEVER AGAIN. read more

It is unfortunate some reviewers seem bent on degrading and bad mouthing local businesses to see if they can get away with it. This appears to be the intent of a yelp review from four years ago when a reviewer describes a horrific dining experience not found in a foreign prison, let alone a local eatery. Having been a customer at Pam's off and on for many years I can attest that the food is always fresh, hot, cooked to order and priced reasonably. We were looking for a comfort type Diner experience and found Pam's. Nothing fancy on the outside but very old-school Diner on the inside. Service was fast food was good enough and satisfied are cravings for cheese biscuits and grits. I would go back again for sure if I lived in Washington. as we walked through the door, a big sign read "hoodies enter at your own risk" then the OJ was old and tasted like the fridge, the coffee tasted like chock-ful-o-nuts, the menu said hash browns, but were deep-fried potato squares. when we asked to have the drinks we didn't drink deducted (decided to pay for potatoes we didn't eat, either), the owner said "you ordered it, you pay for it," but didn't show us an itemized bill.
