I finished my meal in just a few minutes, because there weren't that many bites of it. The table next to me had two gentlemen on a date, and I saw them finish off a round of 3 entrees and order a 4th after... that was after they had apps. The inside is nice though. It's got a quaint, Italian feel. It's dimly lit so photos are tough. Service was good and friendly. The taste of the dishes was good, but not great. When your portions are tiny, you better be bringing major flavor. They did not. Overall, this is an expensive place for small portions. My only regret at this restaurant is that I couldn't try every single pasta dish on the menu. The cacio e pepe ravioli and bolognese were both excellent. We also loved the arancini. I've had better artichokes so might recommend trying another dish as an app. Our server was very nice and cane back to top off our glasses or wine throughout the meal. He did catch us getting up once to refill ourselves and apologized by bringing us a piece of dessert on the house which was not necessary but appreciated because it was very good. Came in on a weekend without a reservation. We were fortunately able to have a table on the curbside. It was chilly that day and the table has 3 sides covered so it was bearable. They also have backyard seatings. For appetizers we ordered Focaccia with olive oil. The bread did not taste what I have expected to be and the olive oil has a weird smell/ taste to it. For entree, we ordered Pappardelle alla Bolognese, Ravioli Cacio e Pepe, and Fettuccine ai Funghi e Tartufo. The pasta dishes come in warm which is great because we were all so cold, they also tastes good! On the menu, it says the Fettuccine ai Funghi e Tartufo is vegetarian but after the dish is served, a staff came in with a block of cheese and shaved it on top of the pasta, not sure if the cheese is also vegetarian. So make sure to ask before they shave cheese on your dish if you are a vegetarian. The Ravioli Cacio e Pepe came in five or six pieces so if you are a big eater or something else. Went for an early pre-show dinner. The gnocchi and the orecchiette with broccoli rabe were both really good, and overall everything we had was solid across the board. The crudo didn't totally work for me personally--I wanted it sliced a bit thinner and with more acidity--but the atmosphere is really what stands out here. Such a beautifully decorated and charming restaurant serving some of the best Italian cuisine I have ever had! Their homemade pastas were incredibly executed, and the flavors were out of this world. Palma is small and cozy and a great place for a romantic date night or to celebrate something special. I went with a friend on a Friday night, and even though the place was fully booked, we still had excellent service. We ordered the cacio e pepe ravioli and the lamb chops to share. The lamb came with two sides of your choice so we opted for the seasonal roasted vegetables and the mashed potatoes. The pasta was amazing - you would not be able to tell it was gluten free at all! The lamb was also cooked to perfection. My only complaint is that the portion sizes are small. I wasn't surprised by the ravioli or lamb portions, but I wrongly assumed the sides would be larger and served family style. This place is SO cute and vibey inside. Think warm lights and flowers and green and vases... there's a small front room and then we were taken back through two other larger rooms to end up at a small space with just one other table; such a nice secluded spot! We did have to wait 20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated, but I know you can't control how fast customers leave. We were starving and ordered pretty much right away and the food came out fast! The truffle mushroom fettuccini was to die for. Can't believe they only make this gluten free, not that you could tell in any way. Umami and rich and melt in your mouth. We ordered the lobster with gluten free fettuccini and it came with a huge amount of lobster. This wasn't my favorite but there was natural tomato sauce and it was still very fresh. The star of the evening was the cacio e Pepe ravioli. I've never had the option to order gluten free ravioli at a restaurant before and so I was already happy. But dang, this was so cheesy and the pepper had a nice kick and this was just flavor explosion. The ravioli was dense in a good way but also buttery soft. The portions aren't huge by any means. This restaurant came up as having great gluten-free options when I was doing some research for a dinner with some friends. It's rare to find a restaurant that is good at gluten-free pasta but according to my GF friend, the Cacio e Pepe ravioli was amazing. The quality of the ingredients is so clear as you are eating the food and after. I went with the Paccheri all'Astice: the pasta was perfectly al dente and there was a generous amount of lobster which was also cooked to perfection. The sauce is simple yet flavorful and it's everything you could ever want in a seafood pasta. Our server Guillaume was so kind and attentive and we were really treated so well throughout the whole evening. We started off with the focaccia bread that came with oil on the side. I ordered the pesto stuffed gnocchi and my husband ordered the truffle mushroom fettuccine. Both were amazing and the pasta was very fresh but the star of the show was the fettuccine! The gnocchi was also delicious but at times the pesto felt overwhelming as it was only inside the gnocchi. We got the arancini and sourdough focaccia to start, then had the mushroom and truffle fettucine and cacio e pepe ravioli and finally, ended with the tiramisu - all of this was so fantastic, 100% would order all this again!! If there was one thing I had to pick it would be the ravioli - was simply speachless after my first bite. For drinks, I got the La Vie en Rose - fully tasted like a rose and wasn't too sweet, I loved it! The staff was all incredible, from the efficient hostess, the helpful sommelier, and our kind and patient server. This is also an insanely cute spot, looking very small from the outside, but then you walk through a quaint little wooden inside area to a beautiful greenhouse type garden seating space. We ordered a delicious bottle of barbera and the focaccia and meatball to start. Then we had the arancini and the cacio e Pepe ravioli (that I have bad dreams about since). One of the best and coziest ambiance at this place - the fresh flowers decorated throughout the restaurant at each and every corner (even bathroom!) created such a beautiful and quaint decor. I loved all the detailing they have thoughtfully put. We sat in backyard garden which did transport us to Italy! The cocktails were amazing - especially loved the habanero kick to the margarita. Coming to food - everything we ordered was mind blowing! I loved how vegetarian and gluten-free friendly the menu is. So many great options! We ordered Cacio e Pepe and Gnocchi made in red tomato sauce from specials. You would appreciate the freshness of all the ingredients used. The best cacio e Pepe I have ever had and the red tomato sauce was just perfect - not tangy but had an amazing flavor. I was quite full but how could we have not tried Tiramisu. And I am so glad we did. One of the bests tiramisu we have ever had - so fresh, soft and we could taste that tad bit of rum soaked lady finger! This place makes such a great date place. Last night I had a fantastic dinner with friends at Palma in Greenwich Village. We ordered several dishes to share, accompanied by a crisp Vermentino. To start: carciofi fritti, fiori di zucca, cecina (a Sardinian chickpea bread), and insalata di polpo, followed by their pesto-stuffed gnocchi and spaghetti alla Nerano. I can look past the service - so long as the food quality pulls through. To my disappointment, the food did not pull through. We ordered: Focaccia Barese. One word - oily. Pappardelle alla bolognese. The highlight of the meal, tasted homemade (this is what's saving it from a 1 star). Spaghetti all astice - lacked any flavor, lobster overcooked, and overall lacked any depth of flavor. To top it off, we were charged for a sorbet we did not order - they made it seem as though it was an act of good gesture. Lo and behold, a $12 charge for 3 dollops of sugared ice. read more

My friend made reservations for us and we ended up sitting in the back patio/greenhouse/carriage house which was decorated with so much beautiful greenery and flowers ready to bloom around and above us, that I just had to write a review! I made a last minute reservation at Palma tonight for my birthday that I'm "celebrating" solo. I was happy to secure a spot inside and not at the bar at a time that would work for me, but I didn't love my experience here, and so my birthday evening was a bit sour. I'll start with the positives: the restaurant itself is beautiful, lighting is romantic and music choice sets a nice vibe. The food was good, and staff were polite and attentive. Where I felt unsatisfied: as someone who has dined solo on a number of occasions, I'm used to being placed in less than ideal spots, and this was no exception. I was stuck in a tiny corner right next to the entrance and near the open door to the street. I was really disappointed about this, since the ambiance was one of the elements that drew me here, and I didn't feel like I really got to enjoy it. I was seated next to some really obnoxious and ignorant people, which wasn't necessarily Palma's fault, and I didn't tell them it was my birthday, but just added insult to injury. The meal was good, I ordered the chicken Milanese, but felt as though it could have included more for the price, perhaps some tomatoes and fresh mozzarella like I've had elsewhere. The bread was decent too. The wine should be considered robbery. I ordered a glass of Rosa di Mare rosé, with the help of a polite gentleman there. It was fine and suited to the meal, but a GLASS (modestly poured), was $21-- a bottle of this retails for $13.60. I know this has become the 'norm' at least in the village, but I find it incredibly deceitful. My bread came just a minute before my meal, and because I didn't want a bill that went into 3 digit territory for one person, the whole thing felt very rushed. I used to love coming the city, but times have surely changed. I really wish this had turned out differently, maybe the uber wealthy and parties of 2+ will continue to enjoy their experiences here. read more

We came here as a group of four on a hot summer day and thankfully we got seated next to the ac in their garden area, which was a very cute, quaint space. We were having trouble picking another pasta and a red wine to go with our meal but our waiter was very helpful with helping us choose. We ended up going with the fritto misto, fiori di zucca, fettuccini al funghi e tartufo, pappardelle alla bolognese and orecchiette alla crudaiola and a bottle of syrah. As expected, all the dishes were really good but what really blew me was their orecchiette which they told us would come out room temperature.
