Came here for my daughters soccer game on a Saturday morning. The place wasn't too bad, with a small parking lot, and overflowing dumpster with all sorts of stuff, dragged halfway out into a parking space, a significant homeless population, and a makeshift soccer field featuring 300 ft.² of sprinkler flooding in the north east corner. Water polo anyone? There's a playground here for the kitties, featuring a simulated fighter jet of some kind, and one of those workout areas with stations that use your body weight. Most of them were not broken. Most of them. The only funny thing about it was that the other teams coach had previously talk down about our home field a couple of weeks previous, between volleying insults at his players and saying things to the kids that would not be tolerated in my line of work. But I guess that's none of my business, and if you're a get over there on the swings, there's probably no better place on earth. Oh, and lots of palm trees. And PokéStops. The guy living in the bathroom. As Meatloaf sang: two out of three ain't bad.

Beautiful park with Los of space and benches to sit. Has a wide grass area to kick the ball around. A pretty cool giant airplane for kids to play all over. There's even a smaller toddler/ baby area specially sectioned off away from the big kid area. There's trees with shade and the parking is spacious.

Was looking for basketball here but I guess it's in the adjacent school which you can't really get to. The playground was nice, the standout being the plane obviously, great for photos! They had a little workout station too.

Clean - no trash anywhere. Bark in the playground area is in good condition. Grass is green, trimmed and has been maintained. Two Play Areas - smaller gated area I am calling the toddler area. Good for kids under 5. Can't run out with the gates and different things for them to play with. Picnic Area - I counted at least 16 benches. Spread out so you have options if its crowded. Public Restroom - clean. Very close to the playgrounds. Parking - lots of parking. It looks like it could be connected to a school? I see a baseball field and basketball courts.

Good park for the kids to play.... misters are nice touch when it's hot. Nice shade area for a picnic.

    The airplane.

Best park, ever...clean (even the rest rooms!), plenty of shade from tall trees and picnic shelters, LOTS of picnic tables/benches, lots of parking close to playground/picnic area (if you forgot something in the car, it's not a long trek/ordeal to go retrieve it). Plus, it has an airplane to play on. I love this park!

Park visitors always seem to be relaxed and super friendly when spending time here. Be it while playing basketball, softball, soccer, playing tennis, pickleball, walking, jogging or simply relaxing under a tree or out in the sun etc.. being outdoors puts people in a good mood and this is one of the reasons I visit this park 5-6 times per week. Covina Park contains six basketball hoops, public exercise equipment, two tennis courts (w/ pickle-ball lines), public ping pong table (without paddles or ball), horseshoe gaming area (without horseshoes), play obstacle course, shiny playground, swimming pools, baseball diamond, and much more. Truly, Covina Park has blossomed into a popular local destination. When having a "rest day" from the gym, I select Covina Park for my daily cardio/walking. Recently, Covina Park feels very safe and welcoming. Commonly, there are only local residents or health-nuts getting their daily health fresh air. Speaking of "health-nut" I observed groups of squirrels happily munching by their homes. Covina Park not only has the luxury of having a soft trail, it's also accompanied by many tall trees for shade. Covina Park is very clean, well-maintained, and contains plentiful parking. I am very appreciative of the time and money invested in developing such a lovely, public recreational space. I happily recommend. 5 out of 5

There is a cafe/ convenience store across from the campground where you can also purchase your day use park pass for $5. I experienced a foggy day, which gave a cooling effect to my hiking. Restrooms are vault toilets, so unpleasant smells and a mess are a given. The lake has lots of swampy algae, therefore not appropriate for swimming or water sports. However, they do allow fishing with permit. I am a nature enthusiast and it was saddening to see the lack of humans respect for nature, with graffiti and trash in some areas of the park. Crystal lake definitely could use more funding to preserve its natural beauty. The loveliest part is listening to woodpeckers as they work, watching an eagle fly above with a fish in its talons, and treading quietly not to startle the squirrel who is crossing my path. I suggest picking up a map with hiking trails from the rangers post or convenience store, before planning your day!

There is a round about parking near the entrance with a moderate amount of parking spaces but if you go past that further in there are more parking available. The play ground is quite large compared to other smaller park playgrounds. The cool think i like was that stairs from the first parking lot with the restrooms connect to the playground. So kids can jump right into the fun. Next to the playground its surrounded with plenty of picnic tables (concrete) and lets parents sit and relax while the kids play. The playground has multiple entries with two slides? Two monkey bars, stepping stone style elevated steps, a fireman pole, etc... definitely a fun park to come to. There is a little creek adjacent to the playground where you get a nice tranquil stream of flowing water drowned by the screams and laughter of children in the background, lol.. its nice really and something that sets it apart. We did not go further past the stream but there appears to be additional tables and a trail. Had a great time meeting our friends there and enjoying some fun times with the kids in the process. There's a shaded area for eating with 2 picnic tables under it, but that's it. The entire play structure and swings are in the beating sun 100% of the time. Today was a very mild 75 degree early summer day and we went early around 10:45. Within 30 minutes of arrival, the slides were so hot our almost 2 y/o son physically reacted every time he touched them. The park is in a very nice and quiet residential area. There's nothing but street parking, but the streets are wide and not busy. The grounds were very clean and well kept. The bathrooms even had soap AND paper towels - yay! Like others said, this structure is mostly appropriate for a toddler as young as ours. He even did ok on the winding slide. Some slides are so steep that he falls forward even though they're supposed to be geared at toddlers, but all 3 slides here were fine for him. However, the only way to get up are monkey bar-like stairs (skinny metal bars) that no toddler can safely use, then the other side has stairs. The stairs are way too far apart for a young one to do alone. He either had to crawl or we held his hands while he took giant steps lol. If you get bored at this park, there are 2 more within ~5 blocks or less heading west! They're off the same street, too. Just go to the north of the block north of the park and take a left and you'll see 2 others fairly quickly. We'll definitely be back because of how clean and safe it felt.
