This park is super cool! Park check, cool playground even a water portion,however...the park is crawling with seedy people. I. Came with my son and nephew and they are everywhere, yes I am speaking of homeless. Its totally unfair to judge them but when there is multiple children present it just doesn't make sense for them to be hanging around here. They are always in the same area, what if someone needed to use it for a party or something, do you suppose they'd move?

We are coming back with friends!

First time today with my two chihuahuas and I loved it! Lots of room, tons of new friends For them to play with and friendly Owners. Hidden gem. I've lived in covina for 2 years now and didn't even know about this Spot. I have 4 dogs so I will be bringing the other ones soon!

This park was a great combo for my boys and dog as it had a splash pad, playground, and a big & small dog park altogether! The park itself is spacious and structured well, there are many trees and grassy areas with benches. There is ample parking around the park too! For dogs: water and bags available. Less shade in big dog side, but both are fairly spacious. For kids: great playground, rocket ship themed play area, one for older kids and one for toddlers, only con is the flooring, it's soft wood, so it's safe but not for crawlers or sensitive barefooted children. The splash pad opens from 10 to dusk, the area is not shaded but is gated. For adults: good spacing in between benches, easy parking, access to bathroom, paved area to stroll along the park. Overall a good experience, will come back!

I decided to write a review only because the only review left here is a one star. Now keep in mind we are talking about a park in West Covina. Not Beverly Hills. For a part in West Covina this is a good park. Great park for family gatherings, BBQs, birthday party's. Weekends it's always packed. Always full of kids, party's and a good time. If you know the area it's not the worse park at all. It's in the two for sure. Weekdays the school is a continuation school. Naturally the Riffraff high school kids will spill into the park. Good thing about this park is police (who do drive by a lot since the station is just down the street) can see everything. It's very open. Police will drive right up into the grass if needed. Now if your in a park at night... That's kinda your fault. Your on your own.

Mine is the boy on the right an the one on the left is a lady's named Pigeon

Ok I know his park from back in the day and I used to be a ghetto scary park. Now, gorgeous, awesome for kids, water park, and the dog park section is very nice. Very clean and my hounds enjoyed it very much. Defiantly recommend checking it out

Came here for the dog park. They have 2 sections, one for big dogs and one for small dogs. Everyone was friendly. They have dog toys you can use. The park was very clean. Easy parking. And if you have human kids they have a playground and a splash pad. There is lots of shade to relax for those hot days. Enjoyed the time here good experience.

The new splash pad... It's free and not packed and my daughter loves it.

This is probably one of the coolest parks in the area. West Covina has been working on upgrading all their parks but this one takes the cake(Mmm cake). They have added a dog park called Central Bark and also a splash pad for the kiddos. I love taking my English bully Bruce aka my son to the dog park. There is plenty of space for him to run around and play with the other doggies. All of the dog owners are nice and loving to all the pets too. Bring a chair if you plan on staying a while cause there is only one park bench inside. The lighting around dusk is not so good either so if you don't feel comfortable sitting in the dark then don't come at night or at sunset. As for the splash pad... please have your kids wear some damn water shoes or sandals!!! It's nice and new but doesn't mean that there are no germs! My daughter loves the water play and there is nice ample seating around the splash pad so it's easy to keep an eye the kids. There are always (and I mean always) parties crackin at this park. Doesn't matter what day of the week it is either. With that said, that means that there is a lot of trash left behind which to me is really sad. This park would've got four stars for all the cool amenities but the trash just kills it for me.

This place is cool. But to be honest, your dogs might get sick. I've seen a little pattern with that.

Great dog park! We take our two little pups here. They have bowls of water out and two sections (one for big dogs and one for small dogs).

We arrived early to reserve the picnic area (first come, first serve) and there is no charge. This park is well maintained, offers so much to all park guests, is safe, and offers so much shade on account of do many large trees. Park visitors always seem to be relaxed and super friendly when spending time here. Be it while playing basketball, softball, soccer, playing tennis, pickleball, walking, jogging or simply relaxing under a tree or out in the sun etc.. being outdoors puts people in a good mood and this is one of the reasons I visit this park 5-6 times per week. This is by far, my favorite park of them all

Covina Park contains six basketball hoops, public exercise equipment, two tennis courts (w/ pickle-ball lines), public ping pong table (without paddles or ball), horseshoe gaming area (without horseshoes), play obstacle course, shiny playground, swimming pools, baseball diamond, and much more. Truly, Covina Park has blossomed into a popular local destination. When having a "rest day" from the gym, I select Covina Park for my daily cardio/walking. Recently, Covina Park feels very safe and welcoming. Commonly, there are only local residents or health-nuts getting their daily health fresh air. Speaking of "health-nut" I observed groups of squirrels happily munching by their homes. Covina Park not only has the luxury of having a soft trail, it's also accompanied by many tall trees for shade. Covina Park is very clean, well-maintained, and contains plentiful parking. I am very appreciative of the time and money invested in developing such a lovely, public recreational space. I happily recommend. 5 out of 5

There is a cafe/ convenience store across from the campground where you can also purchase your day use park pass for $5. I experienced a foggy day, which gave a cooling effect to my hiking. Restrooms are vault toilets, so unpleasant smells and a mess are a given. The lake has lots of swampy algae, therefore not appropriate for swimming or water sports. However, they do allow fishing with permit. I am a nature enthusiast and it was saddening to see the lack of humans respect for nature, with graffiti and trash in some areas of the park. Crystal lake definitely could use more funding to preserve its natural beauty. The loveliest part is listening to woodpeckers as they work, watching an eagle fly above with a fish in its talons, and treading quietly not to startle the squirrel who is crossing my path. I suggest picking up a map with hiking trails from the rangers post or convenience store, before planning your day!

So kids can jump right into the fun. Next to the playground its surrounded with plenty of picnic tables (concrete) and lets parents sit and relax while the kids play. The playground has multiple entries with two slides? Two monkey bars, stepping stone style elevated steps, a fireman pole, etc... definitely a fun park to come to. There is a little creek adjacent to the playground where you get a nice tranquil stream of flowing water drowned by the screams and laughter of children in the background, lol.. its nice really and something that sets it apart. We did not go further past the stream but there appears to be additional tables and a trail. Had a great time meeting our friends there and enjoying some fun times with the kids in the process.
