Other than folks mistakenly referring to it as 'Finkbinder', we love our local G-town park. I think the additional 'd' might come from an old 50's themed restaurant in the Village called Fender Benders (sp?), which closed many years ago - and folks confusing the two. But, that said, only old Glendorans would be making that mistake and yet I hear folks of all ages add the 'd'. The park has lots of amenities we've used since our kids were born and even before... - summer concerts and movies in the park - birthday or event areas (Scouting) - playground - tennis court (other side taken by pickleball :( - skate park - sports fields - horseshoes - volleyball - community center And more. We love walking through the park on the way to the Village. If you haven't been, worth checking out pretty much any day of the week. So many fond memories created at Finkbiner. Great LARGE park.... 2 play areas separated by a climbing area. The play areas are shaded and one for younger kiddos and the other for older. Lots of swings and swing options (love the baby and adult together swing idea). Bathrooms nearby, as well as a skate park, pickleball courts, picnic tables and lots of shade and parking. read more

I really like this park. The renovations are great! It's a good place for relaxing and playing.

The restroom are so bright and clean here! I am very impressed with the upgrades that were done at this park. Features included brand new playgrounds and a pickleball court. This playground has very good shade coverage provided by the surrounding trees and added shade sails. The spinning climbing apparatus was very popular with all the kids and doesn't spin too fast which makes it safe enough for smaller kids. Plenty of bench seating, shelters, and even a little equipment "store" where you can borrow stuff for free! I saw basketballs, soft bouncing balls, nerf footballs, and paddles. Came here for a 4th of July concert with my parents. The concert took place in the grassy north side of the park. Most people brought their own foldable chairs but there were also numerous picnic tables to set up at. Unfortunately these tables are completely beat down. Bugs have chewed holes in them, the placement is super bad as it was at the base of a tree, bugs kept falling down on us from above and there was nasty sap everywhere. read more

This park is a great place especially during the summer because there are ample amounts of trees to provide natural shading for the playground and seating areas. There are two main play areas, one suitable for toddlers and the other for elementary kids. The flooring consists of pieces of rubber tires which cushions the floor and doesn't cause a mess like traditional sand boxes and wood chip playgrounds. Adjacent to the park is the skate park where kids skateboard in an enclosed area. Kids are supposed to wear helmets and bikes are prohibited but obviously rules are not being followed. Behind the park there is a youth center that holds various events and classes hosted by the Glendora Recreation team which you can sign up online. My wife was doing a yoga class there while I had my kids play wildly in the playground. Lastly, it's not too far from downtown glendora so you can go there after for dinner or desserts. read more

I am always on the lookout for nice parks where I can bring my babies so that they can explore the outdoors and not be cooped inside the house all day long. As a rule, hubby and I agreed not to let them be consumed by TV and electronic gadgets as their babysitters. Today, we visited Finkbiner Park, which is relatively large with a basketball court, tennis court, baseball field, skate park, 3 slide structures that cater to different age groups, swing sets for both small and bigger babies. There are also benches for picnics, plus a tent-covered area perfect for parties and gatherings. The park has its fair share of visitors but it's not crowded. Baby girl enjoyed the slides immensely. She did not want to leave. Baby boy too small to be doing the slides but I had him sit on the swing and he was giggling in no time. Only downside I saw was the slides needed a little wiping here and there, as I could see some dirt marks. My kids and I recently decided to start looking for new parts that were outside of our normal local parks. This park was an absolutely pleasant surprise. I had already read the reviews and they were pretty decent, Id say pretty good actually. However, the reviews don't really do this place justice. It's the little things like the cleanliness of this park, the super soft rubbery pieces at lying the floor in the play area, and the ample space to have get-togethers. My kids were thrilled with this park and can't wait for me to bring them back. I'm sure your kids will feel the same way. Go check this place out! read more

There is three different size playgrounds which is nice when your kids are at different ages and stages of play. This park is more or less a 3 star park. I can't say I was super impressed with it. Although it is certainly away from busy streets and is a lot more expansive than parks in other areas of Los Angeles, the layout of the park has much to be desired. The bathrooms are a bit of a hike from the play structures but really close to the picnic area which feels super large and cramped. Rarely do I want to be squeezed into a tabled picnic area that is close enough to the bathrooms that I can possibly hear the flushing. The play structures are quite nice. There's ample space between each of them for kids to run around and there are is a decent amount of seating around the structures with good views so you can keep an eye on your kids. They currently have what looks like crushed up tires as the flooring for the play structure. Although I'm a fan of recycling, I can't imagine this being a lot of fun for the kids in the heat of the summer, nor can I imagine it being super clean on clothing or skin. It'd be interesting to know if the rubber is cleaned/treated at all before it becomes the surface my kids are playing on top of. I guess I grew up on tire swings and made it this far in life, but it's a lot more than one tire on the ground! The Sunday afternoon I happened to visit the park was pretty busy so there was all sorts of garbage from birthday parties people didn't clean up properly afterwards from. Drink fountains don't really work and again are far from the play structure. Not a bad park to take the kids, but not pristine by any means. A-OK to say the least! read more

Really nice clean park, came in on a Thursday afternoon. There's three different play structures, one for the bigger kids and two for the little ones. I didn't see a water fountain near the play area at all??? Everything is spaced out, shady, and since this was my first time coming to this park I parked on the street a few mins away from the park because I did not know there was a parking lot entrance it looked like an alley until I realized when I had already parked up the street it was the parking lot for the park haha. Anyway, super clean, the playground Floor looked to be as if it were made of ripped tires? Or possibly dark wood chips? Cute park nice neighborhood up in the foothills. I'll definetely come back. Pretty awesome park! Very spacious, clean, good area oh yea and the best part: free concerts! I went there to see a band "The Fab 8". A beatles tribute band. They nail the songs, check them out if you can. Band members are cool, friendly and super talented. That show could have easily had a cover charge but nope, free!!! Good call on booking talent.
