But, that said, only old Glendorans would be making that mistake and yet I hear folks of all ages add the 'd'. The park has lots of amenities we've used since our kids were born and even before... - summer concerts and movies in the park - birthday or event areas (Scouting) - playground - tennis court (other side taken by pickleball :( - skate park - sports fields - horseshoes - volleyball - community center And more. We love walking through the park on the way to the Village. If you haven't been, worth checking out pretty much any day of the week. So many fond memories created at Finkbiner. Even Pokémon Go events, haha.

There is a roofed area with 2 picnic tables but no barbecue grill. I have seen families spread blankets on the grassy lot for picnic purposes. I have also come across some ladies who do yoga exercises. For those who shoot hoops, there is a half basketball court. It is a small park but it is clean, well-maintained, not crowded and just the right size and atmosphere for those who want a laid-back playtime with their kids.

I liked that it had a spinning wheel/carousel. There was about one public table, one restroom, and a water fountain. There was also a kid-sized basketball hoop. It's not a court. What are the negatives? There's no space to walk or exercise. It's an extreme bare minimum. This "park" felt like a play-set built in an affluent neighbor's backyard. This is a spot for local residents. Also, the parking is bad for visitors; there's no parking lot. Visitors park on the side of the road; sign says, "No Parking Thursday - 7AM to 11:30AM." Overall, Rancho Park is a quaint curiosity. It's well-maintained, but if it ever gets busy, you'll have zero room to do anything. At the very least, there's nice shades from trees. If bored, you can just lay on the grass. 3.5 out of 5

This hidden trail route is considered easy to moderate with an elevation gain of 625 feet. Moreover, this trial is good for dogs (unleashed), family, and kids. Plenty of tree shades and stream crossings. You'll see a thriving flora and fauna throughout the park. Similarly, you'll find yourself swinging in an old used tire and/or rope. I really dig it. Hikers were quite friendly and trail was not crowded. Parking can be found by Lyman Staging area and San Dimas avenue. Overall, I enjoyed visiting Walnut Creek Park. I highly recommend you visit.

Families played soccer on the wide grassy fields or just enjoyed the playgrounds. What utilities? There's two playgrounds, volleyball area, one basketball court, grassy baseball area, painted handball wall, restroom, and plenty of tables. There's also a clear, dirt walking path with plenty of tall trees. And there's a pet waste plastic bag area. I also LOVE how there's a lion water fountain. What are the negatives? Gladstone Park's age felt a little noticeable. The worn down colors of certain areas look unattractive, and I dislike how the pathway is simply dirt. Overall, Gladstone Park is a great option for locals. It's spacious. The playground area is also fun enough for the younger ones. 4.6 out of 5

As if that wasn't bad enough it looks like they're doing some landscaping renovations and they've been spraying weed killer on weeds where kids probably play and or walk on. After the wettest winter in LA county in my life, South Hills Park is now (3/20/2017) tremendously…read moregreen! It went from looking like the Sahara to looking like Scotland. There are lots of deviating paths, but you don't get lost here as most side paths are just viewpoints that end rather quickly. I went here with my mountain bike starting from the eastern side of High Country Drive entrance (taking Hunters Trail road). I recommend entering this side as it's easier to go uphill on cement and do most downhill towards the exit of Bonnie Cove Drive. Amazing views at many points of the trail. Some parts, you'll hear the deafening 210 freeway and electric clicks of the overhanging ropes from electric towers. Other areas, you'll be shielded and it'll seem like you're no longer in a city. NOTE: the trail of Bonnie Cove is a little overgrown from the rain, so you'll smack into a lot of tall grasses and it's only like 1.5 ft wide now. Totally fun if you don't mind it. Lots of others are also overthrown, but I don't remember if they had names.
