It's so peaceful to be near or out on the water with people using row boats, kayaks, paddle boards, peddle boats, fishing etc. But then you get a speedboat or jet ski blaring back and forth in this little strip area. I'm not sure why that would even be fun in such a confined area. Anyway, I don't recommend it for motorized boats. Too small. But often it's quiet and peaceful there. They have a bird wetland/marsh habitat area at the southeast end of the lake with all kinds of beautiful water birds. The bird watching there is amazing. You even sometimes see Bald Eagles. Many families have parties there and stroll the grounds on the weekend. Perfect for people who don't have yards and want to come and relax on the grass and picnic on the weekend. I recommend anyone in the area that uses the park often get a yearly membership and support this great resource of ours!

My only complaint is the water fountain for some reason always gives me a sore throat and I notice when I fill my water bottle here there is a bunch of particles in the water and is sort of foggy. This hidden trail route is considered easy to moderate with an elevation gain of 625 feet. Moreover, this trial is good for dogs (unleashed), family, and kids. Plenty of tree shades and stream crossings. You'll see a thriving flora and fauna throughout the park. Similarly, you'll find yourself swinging in an old used tire and/or rope. I really dig it. Hikers were quite friendly and trail was not crowded. Parking can be found by Lyman Staging area and San Dimas avenue. Overall, I enjoyed visiting Walnut Creek Park. I highly recommend you visit.

It's super clean, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. There are plenty of benches to sit and relax, plus a nearby restroom which is really convenient. While there isn't a designated parking lot, you can easily find street parking along the sidewalk . I love that there are some shaded spots along the walking path , and even more shade throughout the park thanks to all the gorgeous trees . Overall, it's the perfect place for a morning walk--fresh air, a little vitamin D , and a chance to enjoy nature at its best . Highly recommend!

You can always find a squirrel here eating fruit that it picked off Mr. Robertson's tree across the street. The sound of children laughing echoes throughout this park. It still has the old school monkey bars which are perfect for pull ups during my long runs. Every time I stop here there is a puppy playing or a little tyke building some sort of sand castle. This park is very much loved by all the surrounding residents including myself. It would make me so sad if they go through with the destroying of the park. We should enjoy it while it lasts guys! Other than folks mistakenly referring to it as 'Finkbinder', we love our local G-town park…read more I think the additional 'd' might come from an old 50's themed restaurant in the Village called Fender Benders (sp?), which closed many years ago - and folks confusing the two. But, that said, only old Glendorans would be making that mistake and yet I hear folks of all ages add the 'd'. The park has lots of amenities we've used since our kids were born and even before... - summer concerts and movies in the park - birthday or event areas (Scouting) - playground - tennis court (other side taken by pickleball :( - skate park - sports fields - horseshoes - volleyball - community center And more. We love walking through the park on the way to the Village. If you haven't been, worth checking out pretty much any day of the week. So many fond memories created at Finkbiner. Even Pokémon Go events, haha.
