Too crowded for pickleball. You have to be really good for them to let you play. Not good for beginners

We arrived early to reserve the picnic area (first come, first serve) and there is no charge. This park is well maintained, offers so much to all park guests, is safe, and offers so much shade on account of do many large trees. Park visitors always seem to be relaxed and super friendly when spending time here. Be it while playing basketball, softball, soccer, playing tennis, pickleball, walking, jogging or simply relaxing under a tree or out in the sun etc.. being outdoors puts people in a good mood and this is one of the reasons I visit this park 5-6 times per week. This is by far, my favorite park of them all

Covina Park contains six basketball hoops, public exercise equipment, two tennis courts (w/ pickle-ball lines), public ping pong table (without paddles or ball), horseshoe gaming area (without horseshoes), play obstacle course, shiny playground, swimming pools, baseball diamond, and much more. Truly, Covina Park has blossomed into a popular local destination. When having a "rest day" from the gym, I select Covina Park for my daily cardio/walking. Recently, Covina Park feels very safe and welcoming. Commonly, there are only local residents or health-nuts getting their daily health fresh air. Speaking of "health-nut" I observed groups of squirrels happily munching by their homes. Covina Park not only has the luxury of having a soft trail, it's also accompanied by many tall trees for shade. Covina Park is very clean, well-maintained, and contains plentiful parking. I am very appreciative of the time and money invested in developing such a lovely, public recreational space. I happily recommend. 5 out of 5

It's pretty calm, quiet and serene due to the low traffic which is at end of a cul da sac. The park has a few hiking trails trail called the Dalton Wash Trail and the Toyon trail which are simple, but at the same time fun. The playground looks pretty new and in good condition. I love how it's covered with rubber materials as cushion as opposed to sand and wood chips. It's cleaner on the kids and safer if they fall. The dog park is also in good condition with shading, seating and a small obstacle course it (sections separated for small and large dogs). There is also lots of natural shading due to the large trees with picnic benches. Additionally, there are also a restrooms on site with a water fountain. Everything about the park is great because it has everything you need within a small space.

There are lots of deviating paths, but you don't get lost here as most side paths are just viewpoints that end rather quickly. I went here with my mountain bike starting from the eastern side of High Country Drive entrance (taking Hunters Trail road). I recommend entering this side as it's easier to go uphill on cement and do most downhill towards the exit of Bonnie Cove Drive. Amazing views at many points of the trail. Some parts, you'll hear the deafening 210 freeway and electric clicks of the overhanging ropes from electric towers. Other areas, you'll be shielded and it'll seem like you're no longer in a city. NOTE: the trail of Bonnie Cove is a little overgrown from the rain, so you'll smack into a lot of tall grasses and it's only like 1.5 ft wide now. Totally fun if you don't mind it. Lots of others are also overthrown, but I don't remember if they had names.

There is also an area with free doggy bags incase they use the bathroom! It's fun to walk my dogs through or even just myself for a nice stroll. I also think this park is unique because it has outdoor gym equipment which is a bit random, but also pretty neat to try out.
