Love this place! Being new to Chicago I have been seeking a tanning salon similar to the one I used to go to in Boston. Palm Beach Tan is almost identical and has amazing rates on their monthly membership deals! Their beds are clean and come with a towel and eye goggles. Signing up as a new member with Rachel, she first gave me a tour of all the beds while explaining the different packages and beds, as well as how to use each one. I recently tried the Mystic Spray Tan ( you receive a free spray tan when becoming a member) after tanning first in the level 3 bed, I was excited to try the Cocktail Tanning. I was a little hesitant about the spray tan only because in the past I never had good luck with getting spray tans - this time, it was amazing. Rachel came back with me after finishing up in the bed to show me how to begin the spray tan and little secrets she had about making sure everything was even. The other nice part about Cocktail Tanning is that they give you a robe to put on after the tanning bed so you don't have to waste time putting your clothes on/off between sessions. The only thing I would have changed after his experience is doing the level three dark tan with the mystic spray tan, only because I would have liked a dark shade. All in all, amazing customer service every time. Especially when working with Rachel, she is kind and knows a lot about the beds and the products. Amazing service, the assistant manager Sofia and Manager Sadie are incredibly helpful and kind. The beds there are always clean and they'll clean them again if you ask. They're never intimidating about their sales and always give great recommendations and only what is needed. Love it here! read more

Worse customer service EVER! If you want to get charged for service you did not sign up for , this is where you would go. If you want the front desk person to hang up the phone on you , this is where you would go. If you want horrible customer service , this is where you would go. Just reading through other reviews. I love this salon. The service is so consistently good, I mention this salon to my friends. Nice young women who are helpful, quick, and pleasant. Maybe there's a high turnover rate at this location. But, my experiences have been superior to most other salons. read more

The machines at this location are never working. I go and hardly get any color. Each time I ask are they working now and the answer is always yes but it turns out I get awful color. Not sure how this location is still running. Other locations in the area are fine but this is the worst. read more

Absolutely terrible place of business. They only want to sell packages, the woman at the front desk said, "The cost of one spray tan is $43.00."My mouth fell open, and I said, "What? Hate hate hate hate this place. I wanted to get a tan for a television appearance and they needed ENDLESS information. "Can I just get a tan?" "Uh no." "Cell #? Email? Home address?" Why?! "Can't I just buy one session?" "Uh nope." Too much info! It's all about hooking you into packages of buying MORE. Lame. I do appreciate that the owners reached out to me. (I think you can see their note below.) I don't really know what good it would do to call them however. Awkward. I don't NEED to go there. In this era though -thank God for Yelp and other outlets for people to voice their comments. It really is a shame when businesses don't have someone dealing with customers up front. I went to "Celebrity Skin" instead and all is well. And I bought one tanning session. One! (And guess what Palm Beach Tan? I liked it and now I will go back there. I might have liked it had you allowed me to sample your product before trying to push me into a series of sessions.) I guess my advice to the business would be let someone just come in and buy 1 tanning session and leave. The girl at the front desk informed me that was not allowed. I didn't want to give all my personal information to be part of a computer program nor did I want to join a program where I had to buy my multiple sessions. I wanted to buy one tan. When I asked simply "can I just give you money and buy one tan and leave" I was told "no." In this era of the recent Alinea social media mess I'm very aware of what I'm stating here. I walked to the door and came back kindly asking for what I wanted (to buy 1 tanning session) and was repeatedly rebuked. Video surveillance will reveal as much. This was the most disgusting tanning experience ever. First off I will say the only nice thing about this location was the woman behind the counter was nice. 1. Bathroom - um fix your door handle. It was practically falling out of the door 2. Floor In Room - i kept my socks on because the floor was disgusting 3. Bed - the acrylic cover on the bed had major wear and tear so i did not think twice but once the bed turned on the acrylic on the top of the bed where the lights are was filled with dust - it was gross To top off the entire experience when I opened the bed to get out and grab my close there were two bugs crawling along the floor Fix your facility. It is disgusting. I wish I could get my tan back for the worst PBT experience. read more

It would be nice if you could let your customers know you're not open even though your website says you are as does the store hours sign on your door. Perhaps a message for when people call or simply update the website. Very frustrating read more

These guys are great! They have about 25/30 rooms offering a wide variety of beds! I have used their spray tan and honestly find it very comparable to a person who hand sprays. Just remember to fully dry off and then towel dry. I cannot remember but if they do not do this they should have a blow dryer in the room to help with the drying process. As for the beds - they are high quality - always clean and fantastic! The service is very helpful about all the products and which beds to use and for how long. You can tell that some frequent the beds more often then others do. This place is clean, has a good atmosphere and is up to date on products and machines! Definitely would recommend it to a friend! read more

Erin, the Store Manager, and the Assistant Manager, Danielle exceed all my customer service needs and always have the best attitudes and give great product advice. I really like the way I was treated when I walked in. I had taken my daughter to a couple other places for a spray tan and wasn't happy. This place had 2 different types and her spray tan came out great. The staff is really nice and friendly. Very clean place too read more

I have never been treated as rudely as I have been by the manager at this store. I was mislead then scolded for assuming that what she told me was legit. I had an issue with my account and she almost hung up on me when I called her with a question. The store is really nice but they seriously need to consider getting better staff. I passed by two LA Tans to go here and with great reason. The staff is friendly and very helpful with their knowledge base. They really listen to what I wanted and helped me create the best price and experience. She took extra time to explain everything which rally took the fear out of a first time. Thumbs way up.
