Denna was fast, incredibly detailed and gave so much information. I knew exactly how to prep and care for my skin afterwards. HIGHLY recommend her body balm. I took it with me on my trip and it was great for after sun exposure and my dry skin. My spray showed up and looked natural. Not too bad of a smell (I'm super smeller, partner said he couldn't smell anything more than a faint scent). The best part was it didn't come off splotchy and just faded away. Highly recommend 10/10

Everything looks better with a little tan, although as I've gotten older (and wiser) I've learned it's best to stay out of the sun. And it's hard to find the sun when winter shows up in Chicago! I've been on the search for a good spray tan. I recently went to my trusty salon to get a last minute tan and when I came home (and even days later) my husband asked me why I was trying to have the same skin color as Trump. Eek. A few friends had mentioned that for the most natural spray tan try Glow by Kelsey. I booked an appointment online and was pleased to see she was just 5 minutes from my house. I received a test the night before reminding me to be showered/exfoliated before my tan and to wear loose dark fitted clothing. I showed up for my appointment and was greeted by the adorable Kelsey looking perfectly tan herself. I explained the color I was going for- a natural looking glow that didn't look like a spray tan. She said she had the perfect custom solution and I liked that she customizes for each person. Other places I've been to seem to do one solution for all and my fair skin looks way different than some of my darker friends so we clearly shouldn't be using the same solution. Kelsey had a room set up for tans and showed me to the bathroom inside of it where she had all the necessities (disposable shower caps, thongs, etc). Minutes later I was in her tanning booth and she was spraying me with a cold solution. While chilly it wasn't nearly as uncomfortably cold as some others I"ve been in. Kelsey has 2 types of solutions: a rapid where you shower later that day and then one where you keep it on overnight. She thought the rapid would meet my needs best and I personally liked the idea of not having it on my skin overnight. I always feel icky sleeping in it, although Kelseys product wasn't as sticky and didn't smell as bad as others. I left dark, but not too dark...and certainly not orange. And it must have been a good tan because my 14 year old who told me she would never fake tan because it looks "so fake" asked if she could get one for both halloween and her upcoming bday. 5 hours later I showered and was left with the perfect glow. Even my husband agreed it was a good tan! I'll be back to see Kelsey whenever i have events and have a feeling my daughter will be seeing her for dances and other special occasions too. I can even see why she has a lot of regulars who come bi-weekly because "nothing makes you feel more alive than a good tan."

The owner is the sweetest person ever, so leaving this review really sucks. It took me a while to write this, as I'm a huge fan and really didn't want to say anything negative. I went for a spray tan later at night, right before closing. The girl who was tanning me was young and didn't seem to give a crap about having to spray me. She had left after spraying me. The part where they leave you alone for a few to dry off and then come back and powder you and such. So, I'm in the room naked and she was on FaceTime during that time. You can hear everything through the door. She walked back into the room to ask me if I was okay and to powder me and she was still on FaceTime! Literally still on a video call, when I'm standing in the room naked. I was so shocked I didn't know what to say. She then put the phone down on the ledge that's next to the door and muted the FaceTime call and powdered me while the FaceTime call was muted.... not hung up... muted. I love this place and have yet to find somewhere that compares, but I'm not sure I could ever go back after that.

My daughter had 2 days home between summer adventures so I figured it was worth trying Jasmine. She was booked when I reached out, but then the week of let me know she had a cancellation and could take her - whoo hoo! The entire process took 4.5 hours, which is long, but crazy enough less than the 5+ hours we usually spend doing this treatment. Jasmine herself was was super friendly and confident that my daughters hair would be better than ever with this treatment. I was hopeful, but skeptical. She got to work right away with a few assistants helping with the process. When I picked up my daughter I was shocked how straight and smooth her hair was after just running a blow dryer thru it for a few minutes. My daughter was thrilled, although she hoped it would be a little wavy after braids since she doesn't like it perfectly straight. She took off for camp the next day, but the only letter I've gotten in the mail is (no joke) "my hair is totally straight." And based on the camp pictures I've been amazed by how well it took to her hair. It looks a little wavy at the ends and I'm guessing she's likely sleeping in braids to get it to curl a bit. We usually have to do this treatment every 5 months. Jasmine thought every 6-12 months, but our roots grow in so curly that I'd be shocked if we could go that long. I'm also interested in trying Jasmine for the magic sleek, but she thought other treatments would be better for my blonde (highlighted) hair like the keratin express. It's tough to please a 13 year old when it comes to hair (and other things), but I think Jasmine did it!

I've done the fake lash extensions for years now and they just don't do it for me anymore. I also don't want to look like Mr. Snuffleupagus when I'm trying to look cute. If I do get falsies I'm lucky if they last a week. I've also done magnetic lashes too but those don't stay on well resulting in the corners being undone. I wanted my lashes to look as natural as possible with some curl to it. My lashes naturally lie flat and even with mascara, they don't appear to stand out. Lash perms can give your own lashes the extra curl needed. Most of all the perms last for at least a month! Odette was sweet, calm and patient with me given this was my first time doing this. She explained the process and checked in with me often since the perm solution they put on can cause mild stinging. I felt that but it didn't cause serious discomfort. In the days ahead, my eyes did crust up but what I was left with were a beautiful set of lashes that were of my own, just a bit enhanced to give you that va-va-va voom oomph to your look. If paired with eyelash primer and a coat of mascara, they stand out guaranteeing you won't get that Snuffleupagus aesthetic. I would definitely recommend lash perms for a special occasion/vacation. My session lasted an hour allowing for relaxation. In fact, I took a 20-minute nap while on the table! Parking is a breeze with Posh Beauty situated in a large strip mall with adequate free parking.
