Was a year long member last year and had wanting to start my membership before my bday in July in Puerto Rico and would freeze the membership for when I'm ready to start up again - Per the recommendation of the manager. I ended and up speaking with the manager to inform her I wouldn't make the cut off date for My membership to freeze the account in person to avoid the charge. (I was being admitted to the Hospital. The manager said that i would have to try and get to any salon before the end of day to freeze in person and avoid the charge. I left the matter due to my health being more important but called upon discharge and spoke with a sales rep so said i still needed to still go in or send a letter in writing. I said fine I'll write. Letter but can i get a refund? She flat out said no since i missed the cut off. I explained my hospital situation and it was like no customs courtesy or humanity. Just take the money!!! I have proof of hospitalarios and discharge. I wish they would have worked with me being i am in recuperation and can't being behind a wheel for the time being. I went here to get bronze and fabulous before my wedding day. I bought a package which had a start up fee, then a monthly fee that included unlimited tanning in the lower beds, a few free upgrades to higher level beds to use within the first month, and a free spray tan in the first month. I started in March and was picture perfect for my early June wedding. The staff is super nice and very helpful when asking about products. They aren't pushy at all and don't try to upsell you if you don't want it. They ask once and that's it, which is much better than any other services place I've been. They also are really helpful in suggesting how long to be in beds. Until I tanned for my wedding, I had never been tanning before, and had no idea how long I should be in there. Most importantly, the beds are all clean. I would see the staff go into a room to clean it moments after someone got out of it. I never had to wait for a tanning bed when I went. I only once had to wait for the spray tan, and that was only because the other girl had gotten there moments before I did. No one was waiting for it when I was done with it. okay so i love this place. first off i went in and told the person i had never been tanning before and before i could even ask she offered a tour. she showed me all the beds, how to work them and what was good and bad about them. she showed me the spray tans and they have a huge vanity that has all the essientials (deoderant,hair spray, and a few other things.) then when we got back to the front she had a list with all the pricing. It is a little expensive ill give it that. But honestly im willing to pay for coustomer service and clean beds. Then she showed me bronzers and they were all out of my price range ( tip: all bronzers are more than half the price off on amazon) so she showed me one of the least expensive ones and i just got it. Being fairly new to the realm of tanning and after searching multiple locations in my area I discovered PBT of Niles on Touhy. Nervous and unsure about do's and don'ts with tanning and with limited knowledge of the overall tanning process, PBT of Niles was the most logical choice. The staff is well knowledgeable of its products and services as well as delivering an outstanding customer service experience. Their services provide a number of levels for tanning beds as well as multiple spray tan booths, all very rationally priced. I personally prefer the beds which are squeaky clean I might add. The rooms offer goggles and a fresh towel however you may bring your own items(I would not recommend leaving the unused provided items in the room afterwards to ensure cleanliness) I would like to give a special thanks to all of the staff so far for impeccable service. PBT in Niles is the best salon in the area, hands down. I had been suffering through with LA Tan on Golf until they mysteriously closed down. They were pretty bad, but nowhere near as bad as the LA Tan on Waukegan. Palm Beach Tan was everything I was looking for: clean, bright, helpful staff, and best of all - good strong beds/booths. So after a short hiatus from tanning, I decided to give Palm Beach a try. I was a little hesitant as I try to veer away from chains, but this place proved any preconcieved notions I had about bronzebots trying to upsale you wrong. Aggie, the girl working the counter, was exceedingly helpful. Even though I came in after work and was probably not my usual "ray of sunshine" self, her positive energy was contagious and by the end of the tour I was in a much better mood; proving another theory that tan people are the happiest people (tanning releases endorphins!). I am well aware of the risks that come with tanning, and would never try to convince anybody to take it up. However, if you are going to tan somewhere, I would definitely recommend that you do it here. It has a bright and welcoming ambiance that really sets the mood for the bronzing experience. Went here today around noon and the young women working there was great! She was super friendly and knowledgeable about the tanning process. I received a mystic tan. The room was nice and clean and supplied with all the necessary items to ensure a comfortable session. The young women(wish I would have remembered her name so I could give here a shout out, but my memory is horrible) explained everything I needed to do and made it very easy to follow. The new machines they have are great and the spoken voice directions are almost impossible not to follow. I called about versa spa as I've used it many times before when I lived in CO they said um we don't have that here. So I go on the website for locations that have versa and sure enough they have it so I went in and the Same girl was NO help as to what level to get or even if mystic would be a better option- my past salon would give me recommendations this girls answer was "well you can do whatever you want" well of course I can, what do you think would be best?! Same damn answer. I love the versa spa so I stuck with that, the salon looks nice but I will not deal with people like that. Hire people with more knowledge or train them much better!! read more

I am a member of Palm Beach Tan and I love the Wilmette location. Today was the 4th and last time I will go to the Touhy location. They are rude and do not understand customer service. Avoid this location and just go up the road to the Wilmette location. They have always been great with their customer service and all their staff are wonderful. Palm Beach is the best tanning salon I've been to in the Chicago area. This location was very large and incredibly bright and clean. They have a ton of beds and the original Mystic Tan so there are options for everyone. Palm Beach Tan completely puts Ultimate Exposure to shame and beats out LA Tan in my opinion. Tatiana walked me through the various memberships and was very friendly and knowledgeable. I thought to myself, "If she's not a manager, she should be." I found out later that she is. She fills the role well with clients. The location is very convenient for me. Because it's located in a strip mall, there's always plenty of parking and the hours are great to visit after a long day at work. My store is clean, smells pleasant (mildly like coconuts), carries a wide variety of supplemental tanning lotions, and has a large vanity area toward the back as well as two spacious (also clean) single bathrooms. I've been assisted by other personnel who are also friendly and attentive. Another young lady was especially helpful trying to guide me through the various tan accelerators (they work!) and finding the best value. Finally, you can't beat the price point: $14.95/mo! When I joined, I had just returned from Mexico and opted for the lower intensity (basic) bed to keep up my tan. I still get compliments on my color, so it's working! I've been coming to this location for a little over a month, 3-4 times a week and so far have had only great experiences with staff (very approachable and personable) and beds (haven't seen any issues with cleanliness). I've been very happy with my level 2 membership and have already received free bed upgrades. And while I haven't felt pressured at all to purchase lotion from them I did end up getting the Diamond accelerator from their premier collection because I had a deal associated with my membership and am in love with it (I was able to try the tester before committing to it-$$$). I'm enjoying the entire experience of coming here and while I can't afford to always be a member the services are good enough that it's something I wish I could. read more

This place seems like a scam. I came here instead of my usual place because I needed something quick and this was more convenient. My sister also had gone to this location the night before and she raved about it. I went in looking for my normal Versa and was told they don't have that but they have the versa pro. They then proceeded to charge me 3x what they charged my sister. Do your research before coming here or you might end up paying for the most expensive spray tan ever. Worst spray tan ever. First off they tell you a price then they try to sell you like 2 or 3 other "additions" to help your spray tan results which jacks the price up like $20. The sales people are extremely pushy on products. I gave it 2 stars because the facility was nice and clean but unfortunately my spray tan was blotchy and uneven and ORANGE even though I paid $5 extra for a bronzer which she assured me would not make me orange and I did all the proper steps before and after. I visited PBT in Niles the other night to get a spray tan. Assuming I had a credit on my account from my last visit. Chrissy advised me that I did not have a credit but assured me that I would be taken care of. She made a call and the next thing I know, Chrissy was asking all the right questions to determine the best spray tan for me! I've been a loyal customer here for quite some time. Apparently they've changed their hours recently to now close at 9PM instead of 10PM. Further, they apparently sent out texts and emails stating this (to which I was never texted or emailed the information). I arrived tonight at 9:02PM to hear that they're closed (the door wasn't locked) and about their new hours. I pleaded with the rude employee to please let me spray tan as I have an event tomorrow and that I hadn't received any knowledge of the hour change. She said absolutely not as well as another employee who AGAIN insisted that emails were sent out (which obviously they didn't hear me the first or second time that I was never told this information). I'm extremely disappointed in this location and company and especially the tween rude employees who wouldn't take into consideration the fact that I was never told and that it was 9:02 PM. I will be contacting Corporate for a complaint. I have emailed the address I was told to email from Penelope almost a week ago and still haven't received a response.
