Greasy sauce in a bowl. No pasta...
Courtney S.

The last 3-4 times I have there, they messed something up. We have been customers for years and it is so disappointing to see it go downhill. Tonight, they forgot to make one of my items. They asked me to wait while they made it. No offer of a discount or even a drink or something while I wait. Basic customer service stuff...Then, after getting home with my order, my son discovers his chicken parm is just a piece of chicken in some greasy sauce. No pasta what so ever. I called to tell the girl and she says I can come in tomorrow to get my pasta!?! This was our dinner. They were still 30 min from closing. How does pasta tomorrow help me!?! So, after spending all this money on dinner, I still had to cook. I hope corporate investigates. They are ruining your brand!

While I do love a good Palio's pizza, I do not like the inconsistencies between locations. Some have thick crust, some have thin. The menus are different. Some of the menu items have the same name, but are made different, etc. I really like the Palio's in Mansfield, I have come to find out. It's a little annoying going to a Palio's, having your favorite pizza in mind and then it's not on the menu. My favorite pizza is their fajita chicken pizza. This location does not have it. Today we ordered the Jalapeño popper (which is the pizza of the month) and the Scorcher. The pizza at this location has more of a thin, crunchy crust. The jalapeño popper had 4 cheeses bacon and of course jalapeños! It was pretty good, lots of flavor and very cheesy. As for the Scorcher, we had it in mansfield and loved it, so we expected it to be the same here. This was not the case. The Mansfield one has different toppings, which obviously makes it taste different. It was my fault for not comparing ingredients, but when they have the same name you assume it's the same thing! It was still good, but wouldn't get it again at this specific location. The bottom line is, if you find a particular Palio's location that you like, stick to only that location. OR check the menu to make sure they have what you want. Palio's is a great pizza place and has lots of variety, but I don't think I will be coming back to this location.

Fettuccine Alfredo

This might be my new chill spot. It's quiet. Relaxing place to finish my work. Their prices are amazing. $9.99 for chicken Alfredo. Normally places charge $9.99 for the fettuccine Alfredo, and then charge you $5 for a 6oz chicken breast. So let's talk about the Alfredo sauce. It's solid. It's definitely not in my top 5, but it's really good. I look forward to trying more of their dishes.

The lady that took our order had a bad attitude. The food wasn't very good at all. Would've been better going to Pizza Hut.

If you are looking for a charming, "no-frills" spot for classic Italian-American comfort food, this is a very dependable option. The absolute highlight of our visit was the staff. The people here couldn't have been nicer! They were welcoming and extremely accommodating, especially when it came to customizing my order. Food: * House Salads: We started with the house salads featuring their homemade tomato vinaigrette. It was unique--it tasted like they might incorporate some of their tomato sauce into the dressing base. It was okay, though perhaps an acquired taste if you prefer a sharper vinaigrette. * Eggplant Parm & Custom Pasta: I ordered the Eggplant Parm and asked to swap the side pasta for angel hair with vodka sauce. They were happy to do it for a small upcharge. The eggplant itself was quite good! My only critique is that the sauce was very chunky (I like a smoother sauce) and the portion of it was a bit overwhelming, but that might just be a personal preference. * Fettuccine Alfredo: My husband went with the classic Alfredo. He described it as a "solid 7/10"--nothing was wrong with it at all, just a standard, reliable version of the dish that satisfied the craving. Final Thoughts Cafe Italia is a sweet little place that is a decent option if you're hungry for the classics and want to be treated like family. We're glad we finally checked it off our list!

Thinly sliced cutlets cooked to perfection. At the appearance, I felt I'd be taking half of it home. I did not take any home. It was filling but felt so light at the same time, if that makes any sense. I'll contribute that to the fresh, quality ingredients used. I can't wait to come back and try out more menu items!

This is the Italian food where every bite is tasty, but I don't feel like I'm in a food coma afterwards. Not super oily like some of the other Italian U.S. restaurants I've been to. For being in business for so long, I'm surprised they don't have more reviews. A must have for me when I'm back in the area again...

For our mains, we had the Panzotti di Ricotta e Spinaci and the Tagliatelle Bolognese di Mamma. The ravioli came with four giant-sized pieces that had a flavorful filling without being too heavy. The tomato and basil sauce paired well with it. The Tagliatelle Bolognese di Mamma was also enjoyable. The restaurant can get loud, especially when someone orders the tableside pasta cheese wheel. My suggestion to continue with the show of the cheese wheel but not the loud and obnoxious music.
