I went there for the first time because it happened to be nearby where I was staying . Keep in mind, I have been getting my nails done for over 20 years. I'm very simple. I just do gel overlay on my real nails and I keep them as short as possible. AnyWho, back to my story, although it's located in a somewhat newer shopping center, as soon as I walked in there were red flags. I wouldn't call it dirty necessarily dirty but I wouldn't call it clean, plus no AC on, flies, etc. you can tell they do not do any deep cleaning ever like better. The owner was walking around and he was really nice and all the employees were super nice too. Which I appreciate but you also gotta be sanitary. I went to use the restroom to wash my hands and there was no way I could touch anything in that bathroom, yuck...just Yuck A nail place needs to be sanitary. I shouldn't just made an excuse and left. Next up, when sat down in the pedi chair, the foot bath looked water stained and nasty but then obviously they put a bag in it so you weren't touching it. They did my nails and toes at the same time which was great. I appreciate that, but the person doing my toes and took the sanitized new little tools out of plastic and sat it on top of this dirty footstool thing that was filthy, not like with a paper towel just on top of the dirty nasty thing people stand on.Not that anyone wants to know this but , every floor everywhere pretty much has some sort of fecal matter on it. It's just a part of life so I don't want nail tools touching a stool that someone stepped on touching my nails. . So again I blame myself. I should've just left. I should have but sometimes I'm so worried about being rude that I don't follow my instincts. Not long story short, my nails were bothering me after a few days . They felt kinda numb and uncomfortable . Surprise! My nails were green and icky. All these years and nothing like that ever happened to me. So anyways that's my story. Everyone was really nice but they do not deep clean for sure. Those are just a few things that I noticed and so I'm sure there's more and I know times are tough, but some things can't be half assed on. Sanitation is not an option. Asked for a nude base with a baby blue French tip. Had to stop service because the base was horrible. They were super nice and invited me to go back. I did but when I got there the following day they starred at me as if i was an inconvenience. At the end of the second service the lady asked to see a pic of what I originally wanted. I pulled my phone to show her. She takes my phone and walks two spots over to show her coworker. Then both laugh making me feel uncomfortable. Why take my phone. Why laugh. Palazzo Nails is located in a beautiful shopping center with restaurants, Valley Strong, Mister Car Wash, etc. Inside is nice, clean, spacious, they have bottled water for costumers amd an ATM located inside. Staff is friendly, they try to make small talk but there's one woman who is so friendly and greets all the customers. It is no surprise to me that a person will wait just so she can do their pedicure. Prices are typical as anywhere else. And if you pay with cash, they'll subtract a couple of bucks from your total. We moved from Rosedale to this area and were looking for a new nail salon and excited to try this place but definitely won't be coming back. When I called yesterday to make an appointment for a kids gel mani pedi the guy on the phone explained that the kids manicure doesn't include cutting cuticles and the pedicure would include everything. When I arrived the guy who did my daughters nail was in such a rush, didn't even get a chance to tell him we wanted a color under her glitter so her nails weren't so see through since he literally finished her nails in under 5 minutes, didn't clean under her nails, didn't cut her nails just went straight to do the polish and the nail polish is so messy and on her skin also so the UV light was burning her since it was on her . She was looking forward to the massage as she always does and nope, he said that's not included even though over the phone we were specifically told it would. When it came time for the pedicure he took out the polish like if he was only going to paint her toes, no water, nothing. I told him that this is not what my appointment was for and then he proceeded to fill the bowl and start her pedicure. My daughter enjoys getting her nails done every 2 weeks so we know what to expect at a salon and this was definitely a disappointing experience for her and not what she's used to. I tried to ask the lady if I could get classic lashes and she had no idea what I was talking about and proceeded to just start putting lashes on. I should have left then. Then when she finished one lash was completely hanging off and I asked her to remove it. She just brushed it up and said it was fine. The next day, half of them completely fell off. I've been coming here for a few years now. I used to really enjoy them but like most other places they slowly have declined in quality of service and care. We booked for 2 spa pedicures and were seat right away. We picked the second from the highest package. $57 for regular with 12 minute massage, the other chose same package but with gel for $72. -1 star because once my tech heard I didn't want to pay the extra $15 for gel her whole attitude changed. She kept pushing and I politely declined several times. The rest was ok but they only set the timers for 6 minutes. The whole reason I picked that package was because of the massage time. An hour pedicure...we were in and out in 36 minutes. I was left with still wet, too thick polish that wouldn't dry and still sore feet. I will be looking else where. People were nice, and facility is cleaning. But like most services they no longer care about the experience of the consumer. read more

Me and my best friend got our nails done on Saturday and it was amazing. It was a clean place, and they had TVs we could watch. Our nails took about an hour and they matched the designs perfectly. Then, we went to pismo and stayed at the dolphin bay inn. It could have been the nail tech or the different polish, but after our pool day my besties nails were discolored and the color faded. They used to be a brighter pink but now they are a baby pink/ pastel the green also faded. One nail tech was also better than the others, and to me everyone should be on the same level. This was my first visit to Palazzo Nails, & I am extremely impressed! First of all, they took me as a walk-In, which I really appreciated because it was my day off & my previous manipedi (from a different establishment) looked absolutely horrid already. I was seen by Kim, she was extremely courteous & listened to my concerns. She was very meticulous in her craft, while working swiftly & with care. It was evident that she is not only phenomenal & knowledgeable at what she does, but also cares about her customers. The manager there was also very courteous & aware of all customers, even offered us customers water, coffee & tea. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the great experience I had for being my first visit & the amount of care they put into what they do! I don't always write Yelp reviews, but I was so blown away by Palazzo's customer service, superb quality work & extremely clean establishment that I had to write this review to give them their well-earned props! Two months ago i was treated so badly for speaking up that my nails are different lengths for my wedding- i was called "you are very hard" . Went there today and did not make any comment and this is what i got. I still paid 27% tip and walked out frustrated not wanting to say anything since the salon was full of customers. Decided to call the salon and they asked to go back to gave them fixed. The manager had the audacity to ask for $20 more to do powder gel because at this point my nails are very fragile. The cut got so bad, bleeding and painful, no apology whatsoever. This salon is walking distance from home and was convenient. I called in to ask how long the wait would be for an acrylic fill. They said there was no wait. I came in a few minutes later and checked in. They say me down and then I got moved to another station. The other women around me who came in after me were started on their service right away. I asked one of the workers if I was next and they said yes. I have visited this salon four times, twice for pedicures and twice for gel manicures. Their pedicures are lovely and reasonably priced, however their manicure services are well below average. Both times I visited for manicures, I noticed the techs tend to give better service to older clients (I am 22). I visited with my mother today and I paid for both of us. The girl who worked on me was so fast I was done in about 25 minutes. She barely cleaned up my nails and blew dust all over me. I felt rushed and as soon as she finished I was told to get up and move even though my mother was still finishing up in the chair next to me. I hate to be rushed in a nearly empty salon, it made me feel like a bother as a customer. There are better places to visit for quality service around town. Will not go back for manicures but maybe for the rainbow pedicure. Everyone at this salon is so friendly!!! A day prior to my visit I had got eyelash extensions at a salon in San Jose. The eyelash extensions had been installed terribly and were causing me a lot of pain. I was attending a wedding and I was extremely stressed out and scared that I was going to go blind. The facility is dirty, the staff is pushy and rude. My pedicure looks like a little kid did it. I asked for regular nail polish and was told "just get gel" so I explained that I don't like gel on my toenails, and was told "just get gel, I'll make it thin like polish". So I stuck with regular polish and it was so bad that when the nail tech finished, I stayed sitting in the chair thinking she would come back to get the polish all over my toes off with acetone. Nope. Not only did she not fix it, she came up, picked up my water, handed it to me, and lifted the chair table up like ok leave now. I went to check out, the price was $44 for a card payment and $40 if cash. A $4 dollar difference just for using a debit card is pretty ridiculous. Especially for terrible work. read more

I chose this salon to get my nails done for my sister's wedding. I got a gel manicure and am very disappointed in the results. One of my nails chipped within the first 24 hours. My nails are crooked and one nail was jagged. I also have excess gel on one of my cuticles so as soon as it chips off the entire nail will be exposed. They upsold my sister on a nail hardening top coat on her gel and 4 of her nails chipped within the first day as well. I would not recommend this salon. read more

Needed a pedicure and decided to give this place a try. Katie did my pedicure and was polite at first, but then started on my pedicure and cut the side of my toe. I said ouch and she apologized but it got worse. She did the gel color and put my foot under the lamp to dry. I'm not sure what went wrong that the gel didn't dry and as she uncovered my foot, she grunted and said it didn't dry, so she would need to do it all over again. She then continued to try to blame me for moving my foot. I told her multiple times I didn't move my foot once she placed the lamp over it but apologized and said that I would keep an eye on it moving forward. She started on the foot again and told me in a bothered tone if I could stop the massage until the nails were done. The movements from the massage were not moving my feet whatsoever, but I turned it off anyway. She then told me I wasn't placing my foot correctly and the gel wasn't drying leveled, which at that point I was irritated. I told her it didn't need to be perfect (I just wanted to get out of there) and she said she just didn't want to have to "drill me" again because I had fine nails. I would have appreciated that concern if she had handled the situation in a polite manner, but she did not. & don't let me forget she was really pushy to do cash payment instead of card. She tried to get me to use their ATM and assured me I would get the ATM fee back with their cash payment discount. I paid with card and left. About 2 hours later my toe was in so much pain from where she hurt me. It's now the next morning and my toe is red and swollen. I can't even step without it hurting. I asked for a full set simple French tip. He rushed through the acrylic process and the whole set was lumpy and was not laid out smoothly. The French tip was so bad , so bad. My nails didn't last a full week. When I showed him some things that I didn't like he would get upset and acted like he legitimately didn't understand what were my concerns and saw nothing wrong. So I just gave up and at the end just didn't tip him. He was so shocked with wide eyes, mouth open, because I didn't end up tipping. For pedicures stay away from the elderly lady because she is rough with your feet. But she did get the job done . She pinches and throws your foot around and pinches it when she wants you to move it. My guess is because she doesn't speak English well or she just had a rough day and I was her punching bag . My moms girl was amazing. I didn't catch her name but she's young and super thin. Did a fantastic job. I decided to do a full set since I was there . I'm pretty satisfied so far. A young gal did my nails. She was funny, nice and did a great job.
