I was able to easily find their phone number online and schedule a same-day appointment . As a male, scheduling waxing services is a little intimidating. But from the get everyone was super nice and helpful. When I showed up to my appointment, I was greeted by Jayme. She is super nice and professional and I was quickly taken into the back and my whole service lasted no longer than 10 minutes. (Granted I only did my ear and nose hair) But nevertheless Jayme was super cool and fun to talk too. I have been coming here for about a year and never had an issue. Sandra has always been my go to, for Brazilians, I come for Brazilians and to get my lip waxed. The price is greatly priced one thing I love is that when getting a Brazilian done they do it all, Brazilian is front back in between the cheeks I've been to a few places on Bakersfield that Brazilian is just the front and extra for the back crack and in between not here. Sandras customer service is great super friendly and courteous. Everyone up front too. I've never had a bad experience here and hope to never have one so I will continue to come here. So I've gone a couple more times since my review and felt disappointed that it was trending as a 4 star place. I prefer to support small local businesses rather than go to large chains but was getting restless. Finally I decided to go again but switch providers (duh, I forgot we have the option to do that!), and it made a world of a difference! I can now confidently state them as a 5 star joint. What a cute and unique little wax salon! First timer here today. Came in for my eyebrows and was not disappointed. Side note, Parking was a little hectic, but considering it's downtown it is expected. Lol. Moving on, I was greeted right away by a young lady named Sandy, who checked me in. I was even like 30 mins early, but she got me in within 5 mins. Awesome! Sandy was also my technician! She was so bubby and friendly and did a very professional job on my brows! Very impressed by her work considering how how bad and bushy I let my brows get lol. I felt very comfortable and welcomed and left very satisfied. It was my first time here and I went to get a Brazilian wax and what i liked is the time she took and the quality of the waxing in general. I usually do a hard wax and they usually take a while to get it done. This waxing was cheap, painless, and quick. On top of that she used tweezers after she was done which was new to me and one of the reasons I'll come back. She got it done very fast she was really nice and the conversation was good. read more

I've had awful experiences in the past with soft wax; so bad that I've walked away with bruises and abrasions in areas that are supposed to look better hairless---since those experiences in 2010, I've only trusted European Wax Center staff and their use of hard wax to care for those sensitive areas. So when I moved here about a month ago, I was devastated to find out there was no European Wax Center anywhere in town. NONE. ZERO. ZIP. ZILCH. NADA!! I immediately started yelping for a waxing center here, and after about of month of reading and rereading reviews, I finally committed to trying out the Parlor Wax Co because of their consistently PHENOMENAL reviews... and I'm soooo happy I did! The facility is very clean and beautifully decorated. My brazilian wax was done by Lindsay, who greeted me at the front desk when I arrived. She is so incredibly sweet and provided great conversation during my wax, which kept me relaxed and comfortable throughout the experience---that's important. I was very impressed by her application and hair removal process using the soft wax. She is simply amazing and has made me a fan of the old enemy. I plan to return to her routinely, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great professional waxer in town. OH! They also offer a numbing cream for an additional $5 (which I've never tried before), but it sounds like a great way to help calm the nerves if you just have a low pain tolerance or if you're a first time waxer. You do have to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment if you choose this option. If you need to cancel an appointment, you'll need to do so 24 hours in advance in order to avoid a $20 fee :) read more

The staff is friendly and kind. The setting is very comfortable. The rooms are clean and all materials used are very sterile. Wax sticks are never dipped in wax a second time after application. Appointments do not take more then 15 min if you are getting 1 small service done. They can be as quick as you need; however, you do not ever feel rushed through the appointment, so they can squeeze in more clients. This makes the entire experience worth it. When I got there, I got nothing, but a warm welcome and the staff was super nice! I got Jayme and I loved her. She made me feel super comfortable knowing it was my first time getting a Brazilian wax!
