Went for a mani/pedi. Close parking is always a breeze. When I arrived in the salon I was instantly greeted by staff and taken back to the chair (even though it was busy). It's very easy to check in on their kiosk and they accept cash or card. The place is clean with a small waiting area in the front. There's a-lot of variety in nail choices. I found the quality of the manicurist's work to be excellent! He was very gentle, worked at a good pace, and was fun to banter with. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Had old set soaked off, I told him that and the first thing he started doing was 'peeling them, I jerked my hand away and repeated no don't do that, I have a very, naturally thin nail bed and pealing them off hurts and takes layers off my nail bed, THAT IS WHY I WANT THEM SOAKED OFF!"!, so I had my old set removed and new with gel polish. The guy didn't know how to put on new set - the index finger was not straight I made him remove it and correct it, then he didn't understand how to shape them and now they are short, short not in a natural nail shape, I hate them and they just look horrible. read more

I received a gift card for my birthday to this establishment, so I found myself here on a Sunday afternoon. Naturally, I should have known that ANY weekend day will be busy but I took my chances. I sat in the lobby for about 5 minutes before a seat was available, where I then sat for 20 minutes before an associate was available. No issues there, I enjoyed the hot now lukewarm water and massage chair. I then asked for gel white tip on my nails, and just paint white tip on my toes, which was an extra $4 (I don't know why) the pedicure was so soothing, the younger woman asked me about 3 times if she was going to hard or not, I appreciate the concern! After my pedi I proceeded to my mani, gel white tip. The now older woman kept smudging my nails and starting over. She apologized, and I told her it was totally fine! I was happy with how they turned out, but disappointed on the quality, usually i have gel nails up to 3-4 weeks without chips or scrapes, these haven't lasted more than a week. I am rough on my hands as to why I don't get regular paint, but every other place has always stood that challenge. Not sure if it's different brands in gel or what. I probably won't be back, just for that reason. I need durable and long lasting, but the staff was very sweet. read more

It seemed clean and not super tacky like a usual nail place. I liked that they had 2 TVs because I don't like sitting there and playing on my phone the whole time. One TV had Taylor Swift videos going. It was cute. It seemed like they have a very regular crowd here and almost all of the ladies were really kind and talkative with the clients. The massage seats worked well and I noticed them scrubbing the foot sinks immediately after every use. The guy that did my nails was okay. I have a feeling that he wasn't the best pedicure person out of all of them by observation, but he did a decent job. I'm happy with my pedicure. I am only a little sad because I felt like there weren't enough colors here that I actually liked. All in all it was a good experience, just slightly more expensive than I am used to for the services I got. It was an okay wait time. I didn't make an appt, so I expected a wait. I was sat in a massage chair for a spa pedicure. This is when the torture began. She picked, poked, and prodded at my poor toes. I flinched a couple times and told her ouch a couple more. She was a little cuticle happy with her tools and I swear she was going cut skin. I managed to make it out of there with all 10 toes. Ugh, huge disappointment when I looked closer at home and saw how smudged and runny my polish was, but whatever. I'm not the type of person to go back and complain. It was about 4 hours later and I put some socks and Nikes on to go for a run. When I took my socks off after my run, they were stuck to my polish and they were all smudged off. I went back a couple days later to get it fixed. The guy kept telling me I needed to wait until the polish was dry to put socks on ((eye roll, no duh)). And charged me $5 instead of the normal $10 for a polish change. I argued a little, but was annoyed at his scolding so I paid the stupid $5. Surprise surprise when I put shoes on about an hour later, none of my toes were messed up. Maybe you need to throw away your old and janky polish old man. Btw, it's cash only. They have an ATM that says the charge is $.50, but later I saw I was charged $2.50. read more

It seems like almost every time I get a pedicure with my friend, Megan, we end up here at Model Nail Salon, an unassuming little shop in the middle of a tiny strip center in the same parking lot as Winco. The interior of the store is decorated in soothing Earthy natural browns and boasts eight pedicure stations and eight manicure stations. There are signs warning you that they want you to tip in cash and others asking you to pay in cash. It's okay, though, if you didn't know this ahead of time as they have an ATM inside the salon that only charges a $0.50 feel for cash withdrawals up to $200. In fact, this is THE CHEAPEST ATM in town (other than going to your own bank for free) so this would be a great place to stop and pick up cash if you need it. The prices are very reasonable. They charge a mere $13 for a basic manicure and $20 for a basic spa pedicure. If you prefer to have more services than the basic package provides, they have a variety of other packages (at a variety of prices) to meet your needs. Of course, they have the obligatory massage chairs for you to enjoy during your pedicure. I have never had a bad experience here. They have a menu of all their services posted which include services such as waxing, facials, and various versions of acrylic and gel nail services, too. They have a great selection of polish colors and they people who work here are friendly. read more

So I got my nails done two weeks ago and I took my nails off today to let them breathe so I can get them done again for Christmas and I found my actual nails green! 7 out of 10 nails are green! I called the store to tell them what happened and ask what I can do. They told me to try and scratch it off. Nope!! Didn't work! Explained to them that it's not on top of my nails and that it was underneath the nail and told them that it fungus. They argued with me trying to tell me that it was due to water damage. There was no water getting in between my actual nail and the acrylic because I had to force something in between them and there was no lifting. They then told me I can come in for a fill or pay $10 for them to file my nail to see if it goes away. I called my friend who does nails and she said it is either because they use cheap products out because they don't clean their equipment! I would normally go to her but she just recently went on maternity leave. That teaches me a lesson! I will just wait for her to come back! Never again will I go here! Absolutely appalling! I came here with my sister to get my baby niece pampered for her 6 birthday. They charged my sister 20 dollars to have a little girl paint my 6 year old niece's nails and toes. Child labor laws, anyone?? That was the best part of this visit. The receptionist.... Where do I begin? As my sister and I sat there waiting, we were subjected to the barrage of insults and constant foot in mouth comments this individual spewed out of her mouth at patrons of this establishment! One lady ... I couldn't help but be embarrassed for. It was an older mother/daughter and the daughter commented on how special she felt because her mom paid for the day of pampering. The receptionist's comment was "that's your mom? I'm sorry but you look older than her. You look like you should be the mom." the daughter who was probably in her 40-50s said, "yeah, we'll I've had a rough life." as if that wasn't enough embarrassment, the receptionist continued to repeat her comment about her looking older than her mom as they left the salon. She then walked over to my sister, looked at my 6 yr old niece and said, she's so skinny! My sister said "yeah she's petite." This jerk of receptionist then said to my sister... "YOU MUST BE JEALOUS. You know cuz youre... " And... I don't even remember what she said but she grabbed her fat roll to gesture my sisters fat! Mind you, my sis is a mother of 2, But none the less, she is not a 6 year old, nor is she jealous of her baby, n she is far from fat. I absolutely loathe the fact that this 22 year old size 24 insulted my sister. The only reason I didn't say anything then is because it was baby girls day...I had to laugh off my frustrations. The receptionist then asked me what was funny n before I could tell her, my sister cut in and diffused the bomb. After that, the receptionist made her way to another customer, pulled up a chair next to her n disrupted the customers relaxation with non stop jaw flapping. Eye contact from the customer read "help me!". Don't come here unless u want to pay to be insulted and have the receptionist talk your ear off the entire time.
