I think I finally found my forever (as long as I live in Bako) salon. First off, this place is one of those FEW places where you can actually talk to a person when calling in and not some answering machines that get back to you 1-3 business days. I called and as soon as I hung up, someone texted me to book an appointment. I was arranged with Rosary, who was not only amazing at what she does, but also so kind, friendly, welcoming and felt like home. She did not only give me the haircut that I wanted and asked for but she also fixed the haircut that the other salon butchered. So grateful for her and her magic hands! The day I got a haircut was the weekend full of parties I had to attend to and it worked out perfectly because my hair was camera ready. I got the pictures back and I loved my hair so much. Got so many compliments about it. Lastly, this place is such a vibe. Extremely organized and clean. Everyone minds their own business but also very welcoming and friendly. In all honesty I absolutely love the environment from this salon, everyone is super friendly and respectful, they make this salon feel comfortable to be in. I went to get my hair done, as in new hair dye, cut and style. Nelly was the hair stylist and let me just say she did an absolutely amazing job! I'm more than happy with my hair now because of her ! I'm so grateful that she helped me get something I would absolutely love love love ! This place was the worst salon I have ever gone to. As soon as I walked in, the smell of marijuana hit me like a wall. Halloween themed place which was a little strange since it's December. I took my 20 year old son...He is Autistic..in today for a hair cut it was a big change for him because he is used to his long hair. We see Kirsten we have gone to her for years she always asks them to bring their service dogs when i bring him I just want to Thank You guys soooo much for that i appreciate it from the bottom of my heart!!! My hair was done in March by Clair, I was in and out so fast I was surprised. Come April my hair started turning green (Yes I have experience with maintenance with the color I had). My usual hair girl whose been doing my hair for over a year parted my hair and showed me the work that was done. She pointed out that only the top of my head was done. I paid $180 for this. I was very hyped about all the pics I saw on her ig and how she was praised for her work. I feel cheated and I feel like I will get no where if I reach out but I just want new customers to be aware because I wish someone would have warned me. The sad part was there was an assistant and neither one did the right thing and still took my money. (I understand if this was intended to be left for another session, but it was too much brown and was not discussed or explained or even shown to me). If you ask why I didn't check it was because I trusted her work and I had no reason to question her work. I'm not here to discredit her work but just to share my experience. read more

She texted me ahead of time asking questions about my hair type and requesting pictures of the color that I was interested in. I highly recommend Erin Enos. I drove down to Bakersfield after receiving a very bad haircut in Porterville, and asked her to fix my hair while cutting off as little as possible because my hair was already a few inches shorter than I would prefer. She worked miracles and managed to cover up the weird "holes" the previous stylist had hacked into my hair. I didn't expect to actually like my hair when I left--I thought Erin would only be able to render it "less hideous," but I actually like my haircut! I will make the two hour drive to Erin and The Dollhouse whenever I need a haircut. read more

I love coming here to get my hair done! All the girls are super friendly, so it's not like some other salons where you go in and talk to no one, except your stylist and maybe a receptionist. Plus, Clair ALWAYS delivers. She's very good at communicating with me, and not only taking my description of what I want and turning it into reality, but also letting me know what my options are/how many appointments a process is realistically going to take, or whether something I've asked for is just not a good idea/possibility for my many-times-colored hair. Claire did an amazing job on my haircut, definitely brought it back to life and correctly framed my face. It's extremely difficult to get into contact with claire or a response. I went in to go lighter , my hair was already lifted to about 6/7 , roots natural , paid 200 for 1st session which is fine however my roots were left extremely brassy, which I do not like & specifically stated I prefer ashy tones. Claire did have an assistant, which would have been nice to know before hand. I prefer a 1 on 1 session with the person I'm directly paying. My hair is short, so not sure why she had the assistant wash me / tone my hair ? It's been about 2- 3 weeks since I've gotten my hair done, & I'm noticing breakage in the front of my hair. I've never before had this issue when getting my hair done. I've always used the same color shampoo/ conditioner & purple shampoo after bleach / coloring. Also after the first wash which was 3 days later, the toner completely washed out of my hair, not sure why? Claire did not check my hair before the assistant rinsed & toned , & in my opinion when having an assistant, it would be best to always double check their work and make sure it's the correct time to be rinsed. I would reccomend friends and family to claire for haircuts, however on going blonde i would have to reccomend to someone else. Claire's specialty is color , so as a client I should have took that into consideration when booking. read more

Her partner Claire is also incredible working her usual color magic on her clients. I am an every three week return client because I need to cover my sparkly roots but also because I love to go! Gianna is tremendously creative and talented as well as friendly and funny. There is an obvious comraderie with everyone at her shop - a lot of laughter and banter and it's always fun to see the stylists there and check out their myriad of hair colors and styles. Gianna haa dyed my teenage daughter's hair practically every color possible - most currently platinum blonde - and it is awesome and beautiful every single time. If I could give this salon more stars I would. The only words that can come out my mouth for the ladies at this salon is "wow". I have been going to Gianna for about 3 years now. When I came into Gianna I had FRIED my hair and I tried going into another salon before her and that lady kept frying my hair. Gianna couldn't even cut my hair because it was so brittle. But she nurtured my hair back to health and I have to say it feels awesome to have found sucha great hair lady. I have done my hair with her from Browns to multi colored hair. Every color she does comes out amazing. The color application is flawless. Every piece is so unique but have such a perfect blend that any way you wear your hair, it looks awesome. She is not afraid to explore new territories and learn more. She is constantly taking courses to further her knowledge in the trends. Her salon is filled with woman just like herself. I haven't been to the other ladies but I have had the privilege of watching their work. You have a spectrum of ladies from those that only do hair to those that do permanent makeup. Claire has a way of blending colors like you wouldn't believe to Heather who does permanent make up that is so perfect that you could swore that lady walked in there like that. Heather transforms people's lives, women will leave her room and have nothing but the happiest look on their face. All around I think all of these ladies are awesome and have taken others under their wing to help them grow. One of the girls name is Alex and she was under a mentorship for a while and now she is taking clients. How great is it that these ladies want others to become better at hair. Not just themselves.
