Purchased a 2 liter bottle of soda from the market brought it home and realized it was EXPIRED. I called the market and let them know they told me to bring it back in and they would give me my money back. The following day I brought it in and gave it to the female cashier. She asked me for my receipt. I explain to her that I had called the store the previous night and I talk to somebody and they said just bring it in. Coworker standing next to her corroborated my story and said just give her her money. I said thank you and was just ignored, the cashier just continued her conversation with her coworker and handed me the money. I said thank you again and was once again ignored. Although this market is conveniently located near my house, the staff is rude and the product is overpriced. I'd rather travel a little further for better prices and good customer service. read more

When asked where is her mask she said I've been working all day and I'm tired of wearing it. New owners! Very well organized, clean, and bright. The employees are much friendlier than the ones under the last ownership. As this market is minutes from home, I've checked out the grocery AND liquor/wine/beer selection and found the pricing to be fair! Side note: you wouldn't believe the liquor selection! Pala Mesa market even has local beers, like my favorite peanut butter stout from Belching Beaver. Always has a really nice staff. They have fresh flowers at the entrance which is really nice they always last and look beautiful. They always have fresh fruits and veggies and little things you may have forgotten at your larger grocery trip. Also TONS of alcohol. So if you forgot something this is the place to get it. read more

I've been coming to this place with my dog and spending $80 minimum each time I'm here and they just told me I cannot come in with my dog. Well they just lost a customer $400 a month. What kind of BS is that. My dog is well trained small dog on a leash and has never given them problems and I've been shopping there for a while. They will never get my business again read more

I've been coming to the deli here twice a day some times when I lived around here, being helped by the twins, who were great, when I came today I asked the man working behind the counter, an older man with glasses a question about the turkey. DELI!!!! If you have a chance to stop by make sure you go to the deli. I recommend the 395 sandwich aside from the sandwich being one of the best sandwiches it's made with the nicest smiles and the most courteous employees. Ekk.... Come on, pala mesa market! Went in to get some milk today, all expiring in less than a week. Lady didnt even respond to me when I went in, but she will dang sure speak to the older folks who come in. Do I look different? Is that it? Won't speak to me cause I'm not your kind? The produce is left out in the heat of the store and all over priced. The meat is left out unchilled and disgusting too! Everything is overpriced! A small container of spice is marked up 50% from anyone else 20 miles in any direction. But they do it anyway cause there are a few housing communities in the area and they are the only place selling groceries for a few miles so they know they can get whatever price they want. A few of the people there are nice, but only a FEW. The rest wont even acknowledge your existence. Terrible! AVOID! read more

This place is awesome!! The new management is so friendly and helpful. He even tracked down a rare 1972 Port Finish Bourbon that my sister was dying to have and hadn't been able to find and had it sent to this location since it is near my house and called me when it came in. Great guy. This store has everything you would need and is so convenient for a quick stop since the next closest grocery is so far away. There's fresh fruit and vegetables a great Deli counter and their Beer, Wine and Liquor selection is out of control awesome. This place is quality after the renovations and new ownership. Stopped by this place a month ago and we find the place is horrible. Do not check their meat or produce department! Everything here is stale or almost expired. The only thing we would buy here would be a Twinkie... and they don't carry it if you get our drift. Customer service is close to none. We would describe this place as an INCONVENIENCE Store and that's not even a joke. We were hoping for a better experience as we rather leave a positive comment and avoid even leaving a negative comment, but other customers should be aware of a place like this. I live close by this little corner store. That's really all it is a nice corner store. People are friendly. Service can be slow. But it's out in the middle of now where and things just move slower out here. Sandwiches are good and reasonably priced. Not a big selection on fruit, but so many fruit stands nearby. It's nice just to get milk or bread when you run out and don't want to go all the way into town. read more

Unfortunately there aren't very many options for us when it comes to making a quick grocery trip. This place has less than a 7-Eleven if you ask me. Either I have really bad luck picking out drinks that just got put in the cooler, multiple times, or their coolers are not set at the right temperature. This goes for beer and soda equally. I've actually stopped at the Circle K and found better items for close to the same price. Just check the dates on things there, it seems like products are slow to be rotated out. read more

Basically the only game in town unless you want to drive into Downtown Fallbrook. Item selection is OK. The deli puts out a good sandwich. The prices overall are way too high. read more

Recently got a new owner who has done lots of remodeling. The store is very nice and clean.

Came up this way to tour at Los Willows up the road. Stopped in here because we saw the same food delivery truck that was at Los Willows delivering food, at this market. Hmmm...they must get their food there...so we hop in to take a look. The place is one of those in the middle of effen nowhere basic grocery markets. Not much variety, higher prices, smaller place. Their produce consisted of an old bunch of bananas, two dried out bags of carrots, wilted lettuce, some yellowing tomatoes and a few other basics. I noticed that they kept on hand all the produce that Nessy Burger had in their food, which doesn't give me much confidence that the food I ate at Nessy burger before walking in here would be any good. Good thing I pulled out the tomato from my burger. The market itself was a market but nothing like your average grocery store. Just a few aisles of basics, a huge refreshments case, a small unmanned "deli/butcher" (although I didn't see any deli foods whatsoever so it was just there), a motorist aisle and a huge wine selection. It's almost like many of the larger liquor store markets in metro San Diego. It's a convenience store and liquor store primarily with some grocery items in case you need them, all shelf life. It was also the same size as the liquor store near my house with the same set up. The service here at the two very small check out lines was very nice though. So kudos for that. Would I come back here to do some grocery shopping in the area? No. I go a little further to that other market in Bonsall instead thats off 395. But if I need a soda or bottle of wine or candy bar, yeah no problem. Treat this place like a subpar 7-11 from the 1908s with a good size lot next to Nessy Burger and you will get an accurate representation of what to expect. read more
