This stuff is so good!!
Aiko M.

Usually I stop at Daniel's for a restroom break and to pick up snacks, but I wasn't the driver on this desert trip so we came here. Actually, we made two stops... one on the way, and one while we headed home. Both trips, the women's restroom was surprisingly clean and well-maintained. On the way there, I picked up snacks and energy drinks and they were pricey... but they carry an orange-juice beef jerky that reminded me of the Chinese fruit jerkies I grew up with. Gas was expensive (though not by SD and Riverside County prices) compared to the station at the foothill of Valley View Casino... I thought it would be on par with that place before arriving. On the way home, we shared a Boar's Head sandwich combo. The bread was fresh even at night, and the sandwich full of meat. There was plenty of space for us to park away from the action at the gas station. Overall, a worthy stop for desert trips. Pros: - clean, well-lit, no homeless - friendly - unique beef jerky selections (Jeff's Orange a Peel!) - sandwich combo deal Cons: - gas a bit pricey by reservation standards but par for the course in So Cal

It was my first time ordering sandwiches here. I was pleasantly surprised by how much food is offered here. If you want to buy meat by the lb. or just get some sandwiches you can. The cost of the food is reasonably priced and it's made fresh to order. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You also have a variety of choices of chips, sodas, beer , candy, or whatever to your cravings may be. My overall score at this Pala Mart is a 4.5 star. I look forward to trying their breakfast and pizza soon. It's a definite try, Yelpers. Enjoy my friends.

--Atmosphere, Service & Parking-- Attached to a gas station, this mart has a good range of items as one can expect. It's a decent size, clean, with a little eatery (deli) inside. Besides the various stores in any of the casinos nearby or random stores around, I think this would be a good place to pick up anything you may need. There's some spots in front of the place to park in, and if you're getting gas, you can quickly pop in to purchase stuff. ---Food, Drinks, & Prices--- The deli inside features breakfast sandwiches and the like, as well as lunch stuff. The mart itself features all the usual suspects like candies/chocolates, chips, sodas, various drinks (not sure about alcohol), other snacks and more at the store. They do sell some produce such as different fruits and veggies, milk, eggs, cheese, various sandwiches, salads, and more. The prices for the produce are a little higher than normal, but the place is in the middle of nowhere so that is expected. Other prices for things are around the norm.

It's gas and most of us need it. Perfect stop before the desert trip, grab all my food.

Their soup and salad bar is quite a lovely surprise. Perfect for grabbing a healthier lunch on the go. They have ready made sandwiches and Chester's Chicken that I have yet to try. The price is a little high for the salad bar, $10.99/lb, though it's better tasting than some of the salad bars out there. Salad dressing is Ken's, by the way. Soup containers are 3 sizes with smallest at $4.99. I had the Italian Wedding Soup. The food was delicious. I plan to stop in every time I'm in the area.

Plenty of parking and gas stalls; it was pretty busy with lots of cars. When I entered the store, it was massive! So many snacks, merch, drinks, beers and liquor for sale. The store is very clean and up-kept. The prices for the hot food were not bad! Very affordable but the snacks were moderately priced. There's a Chester food joint inside of this store as well, I opted for the Chester's bowl. It's just like KFC famous bowl but with better quality ingredients. Customer service at Chester's was great but slow; they paid attention to details. The pit stop hot food included soups, hot dogs etc. I had the hot dog, it was a little on the overcooked side and their bun was very dry; even though it was individually packaged. I wouldn't go back for their hot dogs. Customer service on the store side was fast; not much interaction but it was fast lol. Would def visit again in the future for gas, drinks and snacks.

I managed to somehow ride down the hill to Ricon Travel Plaza with 1PSI in my rear tire and the staff really helped me. They were very supportive, nice, friendly, landed me 2 pairs of pliers, gave me a lot of air and were able to sale me a tire patching kit (that another gas station up the hill didn't have). They no longer provide fuel prices over the phone, which is their choice as a business. The issue is the inconsistency in how it's applied--while exact pricing isn't shared, there are still comparisons made to nearby stations when asked. That creates confusion rather than clarity. In a commodity market like fuel, customers make decisions based on transparency and trust. When pricing information is partially withheld but still indirectly referenced, it doesn't really reduce competitive pressure--it mainly reduces customer confidence. From a customer standpoint, it would be more effective either to: Provide clear, consistent pricing information, or Maintain a strict no-quote policy without partial comparisons The current middle-ground approach feels less like a strategic advantage and more like unnecessary friction for customers who are simply trying to make an informed decision. A clearer policy would likely improve trust and long-term customer loyalty.
