When I explained I was returning a pair of shoes (Amazon/Shop app return, prepaid label), the employee, who told me her name was Juelle, tried to charge me $13 to put the shoe box into packaging. I'd done this exact same return at another UPS store days earlier for the exact same product and paid nothing. When I mentioned that, it turned into an argument. She then told me she wouldn't be helping me at all and that I'd need to use the self-serve kiosk instead. She said this while making rude remarks, and it escalated from there. When I asked if I had done something wrong, she raised her voice and said, "No, ma'am, I'm actually being quite nice to you" -- while still yelling and pointing her finger in my face. She handed me a business card with the store's phone number and email highlighted and told me to "take it up with" those contacts. When I tried calling, the line was busy every time. It didn't inspire confidence that the only way to escalate was through that same store's own email and phone line -- since store employees appear to have access to that inbox, I have to assume complaints sent there may never actually reach the owner or a manager. I ended up not dropping my package at this location at all -- I didn't feel comfortable leaving it, or my information, with them. I left the store visibly shaking. Looking through other reviews for this location afterward, I noticed several others describing similar run-ins with "two angry women" behind the counter, so this doesn't appear to be an isolated incident. I run a small business and have a UPS business account, so I'm in and out of UPS stores regularly -- this is genuinely the first time I've had an experience like this, and it's a sharp contrast to the professionalism I've come to expect from other locations. I took my package to another UPS store afterward and the same return was free, as expected. I've already filed a complaint with UPS corporate. I'd think twice before using this specific location again.

Couldn't fly home without the ID & cards in the wallet and had to arrange alternative plans to get back home to PA. Kim at the Daniel Island UPS was an our guardian angel! After spending near 12 hours phone hopping with different UPS service providers trying to locate this package, Kim personally drove down to the UPS warehouse and spent hours (easily 7pm-11pm!) searching. She kept direct contact with us, updating where the package was and redirected the package to be shipped back to PA instead of the original destination of Charleston, SC. When all hope was lost for my friends & I, Kim came through every step of the way!

IMO the kiosks do not save time - especially when there are older people using them or ppl with multiple returns. The store workers DO NOT offer to help patrons with Amazon codes or any other codes. They always send them to the kiosks EVEN WHEN THERE'S A LONG LINE & they're just sitting around doing absolutely nothing, sitting on counters talking to each other. At least other UPS stores like the one in west Ashley will assist customers.

She made a snarky comment refusing to recognize or move the item I came with. The manager response after this interaction was ". She was confused as to which package was yours among the many on the counter. She is a bit shy and may have been at a loss". False as i was the last / next person up to front. On July 16, 2024, I visited the store to print some documents. An employee's tone of voice was noticeably unpleasant when she asked, "Can we help you?"--it came across as irritated or frustrated. When I requested assistance, she refused to print my copy. I calmly asked to speak with another employee, but she declined my request. At that point, I chose to remove myself from the building and she contacted the police while waiting outside. Injustice On that day i was verbally trespassed from the owners private property. Bad business / Bad Attitudes. This is my true experience

They gave me receipts for my packages and I left after about 10 minutes.
