I visited Paisanos about a month ago for the first time and ordered the cheese steak and fries. The sandwhich was ok. It came w too much Mayo and not enough meat. The fries were ok, just ok. Now, the food wasn't intolerable and a better rating on just the sandwich is probably a 2.5. Again not terrible and maybe I would try again to see how consistent they are. The major issue with this visit was it was ridiculously cold. There was another family in there and everyone put their coats back on and I heard the kids complain about the absence of heat. The only reason I suffered through was so I could get a pic in the restaurant for this post and to observe the service. The service was decent, the cashier was friendly and the cooks wore PPE and social distancing was practiced. I will go back again to try their pasta or pizza and hopefully their HVAC issue was an anomaly. read more

Monday was one of those "what do you feel like having for supper days" days. I didn't want to cook. Didn't have any hankerin's. Needed to get some yarn at AC Moore to complete an afghan. Ah ha! Paisano's! Yarn stashed my friend and I popped into Fredericksburg's shop. Following us into the store were two shoe-leather travelers who were much the worse for the wear and tear of hard living on the road. A strong line of patter ensued with Brian, the store manager, as the two men worked hard to convince him to give them each a free meal. Throughout the exchange, Brian was cordial but firm in sending the two men on their way. As I ate my spaghetti (perfectly cooked al dente) and my friend her salad and sandwich, I listened to further conversations between Brian and the steady stream of customers who came and went. This store is fortunate to have such a pleasant and professional individual interacting with diners. In addition, although there were several other people in the kitchen, the noise level was minimal with none of the usual loud voices or clanging pots and pans coming from the open kitchen. Thank you, Brian. Paisano's is not a "fine dining" experience, but it more than met my needs--a tasty meal in a clean environment with a friend. This was not our first visit to this store; it will most certainly not be our last. After reading some of the other reviews, I think I might try the baked spaghetti next time. read more

Decent food. I ordered the Lasagna and a small meat lovers pizza. The pizza was ok. It wasn't the worst I've had, but definitely not the best. Unfortunately NoVA does not have a great selection of pizza. The lasagna was ok. It wasn't heated all the way through, so there were spots of cold throughout. The Toast that accompanied the meals was tasty. Hopefully they weren't supposed to be garlic bread because there was no garlic flavor at all. But, they were toasted perfectly and soft in the middle. Delish! My dinner buddy ordered the baked spaghetti and he loved it. They have a Coke machine that allows you to add different flavored syrups. Definitely a highlight. The staff was all pleasant and friendly. No complaints. There is a very small parking lot in front that is shared with the neighboring businesses. It can get a little hectic. Loved everything about the pizza I had from here. I ordered a chicken, mushroom, spinach, and tomato pizza and a pepperoni pizza and it was absolutely delicious. It was my first time ordering from Paisano's so my order came with free zeppoles, which were also delicious. The DMV area is known for its bad pizza but Paisano's is one of the very few to buck the trend. It was my first order and I was pleasantly surprised. If I was reviewing the pizza it would be five stars. But this time we decided to try something else. We ordered the chicken parmigiana. Expecting a breaded and fried tenderloin on a bed of noodles. My mom and I had lunch at Paisano's one day during the week. It advertises as NY style pizza but the crust is definitely NOT NY style. But, that doesn't mean it wasn't good. We got a medium veggie pizza and added pepperoni. The toppings were plentiful and the pizza was good (it just wasn't the chewy, crispy NY crust) with a crisp bottom and narrow edge crust. Stopped in last night, after concert at Celebrate Virginia, craving Cheese Fries. Have dined at the FairLakes location and was excited to try this local spot! The staff was trying to get ready for closing, which is no big deal on a Saturday night. (Though one gal had to be told four times to change gloves from cleaning to serving area.) Manager on duty asked us for our order several times while we were waiting. Overall the Cheese Fries didn't disappoint! Held our high expectations from FairLakes! We will be back!! read more

Update: The manager contacted me because of my review and attempted to rectify the situation. I appreciate their efforts to make my experience better. I hope they've made some changes. If I'm ever in the area, I may stop by to see if they've improved. Not impressed. Well, the pictures I saw online made this seem like it would be a great place, especially for a large group but it feel completely short. The service was great and the employees were really nice. However, the pizza was less than average. It makes me sad to give such a low review, especially on a pizza place. I ordered a build your own pizza: pepperoni, jalapeños, mushrooms, spinach... I was completely shocked when i got my pizza because they reheated frozen spinach and put it in clumps on top of all the other ingredients. I've never seen a pizza I didn't want to eat. I decided to pick off the weird looking spinach and give it a whirl. It didn't taste bad but I definitely won't be back here. I have been to this location several times and was only disappointed once (eat-in slices were a bit over cooked) but today I was pleased again. My boyfriend and I stopped for a 3pm late lunch while out shopping for Christmas. We both enjoyed our slices and the coke freestyle. 1st visit had wrong sandwich brought to me, and everyone else in my party was finished before I received my replacement...not a good sign for just opening. But decided to give it another chance a few weeks later since we saw how huge the steak and cheese subs looked prior...cashier couldn't get order right to save her life!!! My husband paid and sat down and looked at receipt only to see she rung up only ONE sandwich for 3 of us! He had to go back and order again!
