Paintmasters repainted my front door with the proper quality paint and sheen for an exterior door.
    Ying S.

I reached out to Paintmasters initially to get a quote on painting the interior walls of the house I had just purchased on a very tight timeline (before I moved in). Brian came out to do a walkthrough and had some additional recommendations based on his own observations which I told him to go ahead and price as well. Throughout the visit I was so impressed with Brian's knowledge and demeanor and I liked him immediately. The estimate was super reasonable but I had to go with someone else simply due to timing. However, I saved the additional work Brian had recommended because I knew it could be done after I'd moved in without being disruptive. I also knew I would likely have some more paint projects to come and sure enough I did, just a couple of months later. Paintmasters was my first and only call. I have level 5 smooth drywall and I needed drywall repair plus the entire ceiling and portions of the wall in the great room painted after having done some A/V and electrical wiring work. Additionally I needed the ceiling of the main bedroom painted following some work that was done there, plus the front and back exterior doors to my house needed new paint because Brian had noticed during his first walkthrough with me that the previous owners had simply used the wrong type of paint for the exterior. Finally I had some exterior touch up paint needed following the installation of pavers on my patio that exposed parts of my home that were previously hidden. Paintmasters color matched the exterior paint colors and ordered and picked up all the necessary paint. Brian kept me informed throughout the project on what day and at what time I could expect the workers next, as well as what they would be working on that day. The workers showed up on time, did a thorough job of protecting all the necessary surfaces, worked extremely neatly and then cleaned up after themselves each day. Brian came back to do the final walkthrough and wrap up the project including pouring out any leftover paint into smaller cans, labeling them, and then handling the disposal of the original paint containers. That last bit I absolutely LOVED! How many times have you been stuck with a bunch of paint cans that are partially used but taking up space but you don't want to get rid of because you want to keep some touch up paint on hand? This is a nice touch. Without a doubt Paintmasters is my go-to paint contractor. Do not hesitate to use them - you won't regret it!

The best money you'll invest in your home. A few months back I had Paintmaster's provide a bid to paint my kitchen cabinets along with a few other bids. PM bid was very detailed down to the name of the primer and paint to be used. Best price for quality work. My cabinets were not in the best shape as they were a veneer of oak that was chipped and pealing everywhere. The prep to several days then primed and painted to completion. I never imagined that that the way PM painted cabinets would look like brand new, Im not kidding to this day im still amazed they turned out beautiful. Brain and the crew were clean, courteous and prompt.

You can see how exacting they had to be w both the wallpaper and the doorway

Excellent- from start to finish they were clean, dependable, respectful of my space and pleasant to have in my home. They were done on time even with some unexpected hiccups. My job seemed particularly difficult- I had wallpaper installed and then decided I wanted to paint the room, I also have an old craftsman with built in cabinetry and I had plaster walls that needed attention as well. Oh and I wanted it color drenched- a lot going on! Obviously, it would've been much easier had the decision to paint the room occurred before the wall paper installation but they did a great job. You'd have no idea I did it backwards and they didn't get a drop on my very expensive wallpaper! They devised and got me comfortable with the plan and they worked with me to get the finishes that I was looking for. I would absolutely use them again. In fact, I don't think I would use anybody else. And the owner checked in multiple times a day to ensure I was happy w their work- really made the process easy for us!

I called Paintmasters from an internet search. I'm glad I did, as they came out that afternoon, as my location was "on the way" home. That was May 23rd. I got the bid right away. It was clear and provided all the needed information, and we felt it was a fair price. We took some time to make up our mind and I got 1 other bid, over the phone. He said I had a good price and they couldn't do it for less than an amount that was $2,000 more than Paintmasters (PM). This other person offered me refacing for about "double" the PM bid. And I had had a sales pitch (very comfortable) from Reborn (Costco) for refacing that came to about "4 times" the PM bid. We wanted it to look nice, but it's not our dream house, so we went with quality painting. Bryan came over to do colors and he brought color books, but we weren't prepared. We should have already researched colors before, instead of waiting until he came over with the books. It took us almost a week and a half I think to decide on colors. Johnny arrived on July 9th and took all the cabinet drawers. He said someone would be by the next day to start masking and so we hurriedly emptied everything. Only to find out that painting was not scheduled until the following Monday, July 15. So, I learned a lesson, **talk to the project manager or owner regarding scheduling, not the workers". But it turned out OK as we had some extra time to do some deep cleaning and treated some mold under the sink. Starting on the 15th, our kitchen was masked off, but we could still get to the frig. We used a camping stove, a hot pot and ate out a good bit (just the 2 of us). Painting went fine, they even fixed some drywall behind the frig and painted under the sink with a mold resistant coating. I was charged extra for this, but it was again a fair price, and saved me having to find a drywall guy on my own. They also painted the plastic rings on the recessed lights. They removed and replaced all of the recessed light housings. I was notified of starting time and scheduling daily. Sometimes they worked only 2-3 hours, as paint needed to dry and then be sanded. This was for the cabinets, the cabinet doors they took back to the shop. They also painted my kitchen door, the walls, the baseboard and the ceiling. We were very happy with the process, the workers were polite, friendly, clean and spoke English pretty well. Bryan was available for questions most any time and David, the Owner, was by twice and his visits were very valuable. He answered questions, gave suggestions and made an assessment of the work with his men. There was clear attention to detail and 100% customer satisfaction. During the walkthrough (July 26th), Bryan adjusted/straightened all the cabinet doors, installed all the freshly painted recessed light plastic rings and examined a couple spots where the lines were uneven. He said he would schedule a painter to complete the touch-up and also paint the outside of the garage/kitchen door as it was badly chipped/worn. It took another week for someone to get out there and finish as the week's schedule was already set and they had to free somebody up to come by. The finish date was August 2nd and being without the kitchen wasn't as bad as I thought. They left me 4 quarts of paint, one of each of the color/types used. We are very happy with the way the kitchen turned out. The cabinets are very smooth and the fresh paint on the door, baseboard and ceiling really bring out the cabinet color. The kitchen is brighter and we are now motivated to think about more interior painting now that we have found a reputable contractor. Just remember, be prepared with colors, although they will help you with suggestions. Having the paint out sheets really helps and they do not rush you. But it is an important decision and they do have a schedule to keep. All work done outside the bid will be charged for, but the prices were fair and explained well. and you saw the bid adjustment before the work was scheduled. Nobody works for free :) We really have no complaints!!

we had a new front door that needed to be painted. It is fiberglass and needed some special treatment. Paintmasters was meticulous and worked and re-painted until the door was perfect. David, the owner, was responsive and extremely helpful during the whole process of getting the door and the painters who came to the house to do touch-up after the door was installed were neat, meticulous and polite. When we are ready to paint our house, we will look no further than Paintmasters.

This is a long overdue review. We just had another stellar job completed by Paintmasters. We have had them paint our home exterior, some inside interior, outside ADU and inside of ADU. The most impressive paint job was painting our maple cabinets in our kitchen white. They did an unbelievable job and the cabinets have held up well after 3 years. They are always responsive, timely and extremely professional. David and Brian are great to work with...I would not use anyone else!

They may be Paintmasters but this business is all about the cabinets! This is a diamond certified business, an industry honor not easily achieved. They use a unique green standard process on cabinets that is water based - leading to less odor, longevity, and backed by a 5 year warranty. I reached out via Yelp and got some quick feedback and invite to schedule an in person estimate on 20 kitchen cabinets and 5 bathroom cabs. Lucky for me, the faces were in good shape so painting was the recommendation. I also requested repainting on walls, trims, doors and baseboards in the kitchen, dining and living rooms. Compared to a second quote, Paintmasters came in just under and, did I say, warranties their work??? We picked a schedule that worked with my work sched and off we went to an accurately estimated week of work. David has a lot of ideas and more than willingly gave me feedback and insight about colors and sheen. The man has spent his entire career in this trade and has real joy when he talks about the work. You do need to have your colors picked so they can get all the paint ordered on time. The team moved and covered all my heavy furniture, covered all the floors and surfaces, and were EXTREMELY quiet. I was able to work from a different room with no disruption. The team is respectful and neat. Juan has an amazing eye for detail and raised some elements that we didn't initially discuss. Had he not pointed it out, the color contrasts would not be amazing as they are. No detail was missed by David and Juan (think UNDERNEATH the cabinet boxes and counters, and caulking where the wall and ceiling meet). The cabinet faces get taken off site and when they were reinstalled, I was truly amazed by how beautiful the color came out. It looks like they came this way! They were a dark chocolate stain and now they are a beautiful Sherwin Williams Fortitude in the kitchen and Leisure Blue in the bathroom. Highly, highly recommend! Complete facelift of my space and I can't stop staring at it. Thank you, Paint(but also Cabinet)masters!!

We had an amazing experience with Dave and Brian at Paintmasters. They did an amazing job on our unfinished island cabinetry. We picked a sherwin Williams colors and they did such an amazing job. The process was effortless. I highly recommend them!

From the very first visit, Paul set himself apart from other contractors I had met with -- he arrived fully prepared with a variety of material and color samples, thoroughly explained the refacing process, covered warranty details, took measurements, and even designed the layout, all in a single appointment. There was never any pressure to sign, which I genuinely appreciated. When questions came up after his visit, Paul responded quickly with a phone call followed by a detailed email complete with photos and examples. That level of follow-through is hard to find. Once I signed the contract, Jaime came by to confirm measurements and listen to my ideas, translating them into a well-defined project plan. The results speak for themselves -- everything was completed ahead of schedule. The cabinet refacing surpassed my expectations, and the material we selected not only looks stunning but feels great and is effortless to clean. The new coffee bar in the living room has become an absolute showstopper, and the added cabinets in the laundry area are both practical and well-crafted. Miguel, who handled the final installation, was a true professional -- communicative, courteous, and a pleasure to have in our home. The team wrapped up with a thorough walk-through and left everything immaculate. I've already recommended JV Cabinets to friends and family, and I would do so again without hesitation.

After completing the project and later comparing with other options, it became clear that the pricing was not aligned with the level of quality we received. The paint has started rubbing off within a year, the drawer hardware feels very low quality (mostly plastic), and the drawers did not close properly from the installation. The drawer slides and soft-close mechanisms are low quality, feel cheap and unreliable, and the slide system doesn't function properly. With our prior Ikea drawers, which had metal throughout, that was never an issue. These are fundamental issues that should not occur at this price point. Support was also a challenge. Communication felt defensive, and we had to follow up multiple times just to get someone to come out for fixes. Based on our experience, we would not recommend JV Cabinets. There are other providers offering solid wood cabinets with noticeably better build quality and finish for similar, or lower cost.

After a quick Yelp search, we came across Elite Custom Cabinetry and Fidel was able to see what was already done and listened to what I wanted to do. He quickly understood what was needed, listened for any design input, even provided some options with regards to trim styles to be installed in between each bookcase. On the day of installation, just a few hours went by and the crown molding, various pieces of trim, and nearly perfectly matching baseboards were installed. Lots of little bits here and there were considered to truely give the appearance of a built-in library. The work was perfect, especially given where the starting line was. When the work was done, their clean up was so good, not a piece of dust was left behind. On top of everything, pricing was very reasonable. For the work that was done, the cost was very fair. I would not hesitate recommending this company to anyone looking to complete a bookshelf/library project. To Replace or ReFace Kitchen Cabinets...the Choice was Daunting!…read more After conferring with professionals we know and trust, David Fontan of Oak Mountain Cabinets in Pacheco was recommended to us as an option We toyed with the idea of just painting our 1997 cabinets and received reasonable quotes from Kent Painting and Level Seven Painting, but after meeting and talking with David, we knew refacing was the way to go. So good-bye to our dated Nutmeg Maple to updated, painted, and refreshed cabinets of 2025! Not all cabinet refacers are created equal! There were several reasons why we went with Oak Mountain Cabinets. David Fontan is a hands-on owner. He has decades of experience in this field and inspired us with the confidence to tackle the task of refacing. Through our discussions we learned we could essentially reconfigure and upgrade the quality of the cabinetry and hardware. They rebuilt the drawers, changed the internal slides, converted some cabinets to drawers, added pull-outs where needed, and repaired flawed work done by the builder. All of this while upgrading the look of the cabinetry at half the cost of replacing all the cabinets. Most importantly my spouse concluded that she and David "clicked." That synergy really showed in the people that were assigned to the critical aspects of our project and thie on-going working relationship. Johnathan, who is responsible for the detailed drawings of the project, was attentive and responsive. Together we worked through the details required to get this project right. He has been a joy to work with. Joshua has been assigned the task of doing the demo, the repairs, the prep, and the painting. Joshua was the perfect match for my spouse. He's diligent, precise, conscientious, focused, and thorough. He went above and beyond the call of duty to tape off the kitchen to minimize the debris flow from the kitchen to the rest of the house. So far his work has been flawless. And he faithfully cleans up at the end of each day! My spouse is very very particular about what is done to our house, how it is done, and who does the work. She is hands on as well and closely monitors the progress and has appreciated the willingness of David and Joshua to settle any concerns...a true collaboration. I can honestly say that she is totally chill about what is going on. We feel that this is the absolute right decision. For now, we have seen enough to encourage any reader to give this company a look. We'll keep you posted on the outcome. .
