I love a business that does a good job on everything from start to finish. I also love a business that you don't have to hover over to make sure things get done without collateral damage. Bayview Painting is both of these, and more. Peter did a bid for our exterior repaint. We got three bids and he was the middle bid. I never go with the cheapest and never go with the most expensive. The painting started on schedule. The workers took care not to damage the landscaping. We had some dry rot that they repaired as they went. The result was perfect. There are a lot of house painters. Having painted our own house, we understand the importance of prep work. It is critical to a quality paint job. It takes time, of course. I was very happy with the work done by Cruz- we're picky, and we watched the results pretty carefully, - Cruz cares about doing it right - and did. When comparing bids, be sure you understand the quality of both the prep and painting. It will influence the amount of time and the cost, but it will look better and last longer. I really liked the progress photos they post to a cloud app. You can see what is being done. Great communication. If you're looking for a reliable, high quality painting service, look no further! After we had a nightmare experience with another company, we reached out to Peter and he immediately was a HUGE relief to talk to and work with. It wasn't the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and trust me...it's worth the peace of mind to know it's being done correctly. Our prior person we worked with left paint chips and nails all over our yard and did very shoddy woodworking, but Bayview was extremely fast and tidy, and even left our yard in better condition than what it was. They work HARD and were so professional and kind. They did a lot of repair work to the stucco and dry rot and it looks seamless. Peter came by on a regular basis to make sure things were moving smoothly, and they have been very quick and responsive to any little requests we made. An unexpected bonus was that Peter is an animal and art lover! So I was really happy to know he understood why the clean up needed to be immaculate (chicken and duck safety), and why I opted for an unusually bright yellow color paint. I had Bayview painting repaint my house in the hills, and they did high quality, professional work, and communicated really well throughout the process. From having help selecting colors, to arranging scaffolding for a very tall exterior, to completely necessary dry rot repairs, they were regularly communicative and helpful throughout the project. We hired Bayview to paint an ADU that hadn't been painted in some time, and to paint interior rooms. From the very beginning of the quoting process to final wrap up, the communication by Peter, Tia and team was excellent. Better yet, the painting crew was very professional. They communicated when they would arrive and leave each day and took care in their prep to ensure there was no paint on floors or other adjacent surfaces. I was particularly impressed with the diligence to repair the aged exterior of the ADU and paint the entire building to the ground, even among landscaping. This old building looked almost brand new when Bayview was done! And, describing the work on the interior rooms as painting doesn't do it justice, it was artistry! These guys are absolutely the best! My 1956 ranch style home looks brand new, and practically reconstructed. Bayview does not cut corners or paint over problems. They have a carpenter on staff to repair dry rot, etc. Their prep work was truly impressive. Peter was always available and attentive to make sure all went well and met my expectations and satisfaction. They fix and repair and improve. They painted both the exterior and interior of my home and did a fabulous job with loads of attention to detail and perfection. Our old house needed quite more than just a paint job, including significant dry rot repair, vent and downspout replacement, cleanup of old phone and cable lines, and more. We interviewed four painters for the job, and even though Bayview came in a bit higher than the others, it was evident that they had the right team and resources to handle not just the paint job but all the other little things that make such a big difference in the appearance of a house. We were very impressed by Peter's attention to detail, and he even suggested some things we hadn't thought about. And the other estimates were not near as thorough as his. He included photos of all the items we discussed during our walk through, and detailed lists of all the work to be done. In the end, the quality of the work exceeded our expectations. I hate having to chase contractors around nagging them about little details that drive me crazy, but I didn't have to do that with this job because Peter and his crew caught everything before I even brought it up. Bayview just finished repainting all of our kitchen cabinets, right on time. Their crew is phenomenal - professional, polite, and very talented. They cleaned up everything every night, including sweeping the paper they laid down on the floor. The cabinets look perfect. Bayview took off every cabinet door and front, labeled each item, took them to their shop, and spray painted them. Then the crew meticulously replaced each piece, making sure each one was perfectly level. This is the second job they have done for us in three years, and we could not have been more satisfied. Ok, stop looking. You have now found your new painters. Peter has literally been the best thing to happen to our newly purchased home. In a time of many transitions and things up in the air (during our move) Peter and his team were nothing but a pure JOY to work with. My husband and I wanted to get the interior of our new house painted before moving in all of our furniture and what not but only had ONE DAY in between to get this done. We were set on having to do it ourselves and the thought of double coating and painting the walls AND ceiling was just so daunting. We already had so much to do with the move, this was just an added burden. Lo and behold my husband happened to call Peter. Off the bat Peter CARED. We told him our situation and ON THE SAME DAY Peter came after another job in Berkeley and drove all the way to Walnut Creek JUST to meet us and talk us through the process and what we wanted. Oh and get this, he actually stopped by a paint shop and got a dozen freshly painted colors onto 8x11 pieces of paper to show us the possibilities of what the interior of our house could look like. The test papers weren't even dry! All this he did the same day my husband called him. Did I mention this was also on Valentines Day and soon after he went to go pick up flowers for his wife? He was a busy man but he cared about us and our situation. It was just a joy in the midst of our move compounded with rejections from paint shops around the Bay Area (which we understood as this was extremely last minute). But Peter and his team made time for us and I kid you not, painted the interior of our place THE NEXT DAY!! His team came out at 8am, set up shop, and BAM. Knocked it out in one day. I'm talking professional painting at it's finest. They patched up holes all over the house the previous owners left and made absolutely no mistakes in their painting.
