Long overdue review here. Paintmasters did a top notch job last year on a full interior painting of my house. They also skim coated two rooms, refinished an old stairway railing, and took all interior doors to their facility to be refinished. Through all parts of this complex job, their attention to detail was superb. Mac was my project manager, and he was professional and friendly, a real pleasure to work with. All the guys on the crew were great too, with terrific attention to detail and were very good at dealing with the inevitable surprises that came up. They had guys on staff that were able to do light carpentry, door repairs, and drywall work that took the job to the next level to make sure they got it right. As many of the other reviews have mentioned, this company is very professional. They return phone calls, emails, and texts. They arrive on time. They clean up after themselves. They do the preparations necessary, and in our case, used a a drywall specialist to prepare some tricky spots on our walls. They had to work around a re-carpeting we did and anticipated that the interior doors would need to be cut down, which, of course they did. They were patient with us because we had trouble picking the interior wall color we wanted to use. They helped us narrow it down and we're very pleased with the results. They did not use cheap paint like the previous "budget" painters we hired for another project two years ago. We did two change orders after our initial quote and they integrated them into the project seamlessly. Their rates are not rock bottom but they are very fair and competitive. Brian was a very professional, communicative project manager and ensured that any issues were rectified with a post-paint job. David, the owner, provided the best offerings for a fair price. Juan, the painter for the interior did a solid job and made no complaints when we asked him to do minor fixes. There was one painter who did a sloppy job with paint splatter on our shoe rack (off day?), but this was immediately remedied. A very well run company.... we had some ugly old cabinets. They came in, recommending to paint them -- although they could have made more money with other recommendations. They earned my full trust. Each person they sent out was professional, including one person that I didn't hesitate to give him a key since I was out for a day. We can't speak highly enough... the communication was even good. We just completed an ADU cottage behind our home and needed an experienced company to stain and finish the craftsman style front door and sidelight. The door faces south and therefore will need to withstand direct sun and weather. After much searching we were referred to David at Paintmasters who made time to meet with us to conduct color/density tests at his shop using matching wood until we knew we had the right look. Jeff did a great job prepping the sidelight and trim on site as well as matching the appearance on the door at their workshop spray booth. We live in Danville, CA and have a significant size home (5000 sq/ft). We embarked on a huge refresh/remodel project. Aside from refinishing the entire homes hardwood floors we painted and refinished (painted) our existing maple cabinets to update. i solicited bids from several companies. I was immediately impressed with Mac, the project coordinator that came out to asses the job. Not only was he knowledgeable but asked great questions, opened my eyes to things I had not considered and was very nice. After reviewing all the bids we selected Paintmasters and are thrilled we did! They were on time, on schedule, on budget! Amazing!
