I've really appreciated aspects of being part of Painted Tree Marketplace, but I've had a very difficult experience trying to navigate my lease and communication with the Sparks location. Last fall, I went in person to ask about ending my lease early and was told there was no option to do so. I was not informed that there was a formal written process or specific email required to submit a cancellation request. After that, I waited for a renewal notice or any communication about my lease timeline, but never received one. I also checked the vendor portal and could not find clear information about my lease terms or renewal date. I made multiple attempts to call, but the voicemail box was full, and I wasn't able to leave messages. I also sent an email and did not receive a response. Eventually I was able to reach someone, and only then was I given the correct email to submit my request--which I did immediately. I was also told I could sublet my space and found someone ready to take it. Later, I was informed that subletting was not actually possible due to tax reporting, which caused me to lose that opportunity. I understand that there are policies in place, but I made consistent good faith efforts--in person, by phone, by email, and through the portal--to understand and follow the process, and I did not have access to the correct information at the time. I'm sharing this in hopes that corporate can review situations like this, as better communication and clearer processes would make a big difference for vendors. read more

Today, I went out to look for a 60th Birthday gift for my friend. I've been in a Birthday Club with the same gals for almost 4 decades. I love Painted Tree, you can spend hours in this store browsing through each persons booth looking for that ideal gift. I love the set-up like a craft faire with a variety of merchandise. I did find a few things not only for the Birthday girl but for Valentine's Day too. It's such a bright cheerful place and so peaceful. Once you're ready to check out you go to the counter upfront to pay. Bought several items for upcoming birthdays and some cards, will definitely be back! Clean restroom up from and very nicely organized booths with prices on merchandise. The Grand Opening of Painted Trees Boutiques in Sparks where Bed, Bath and Beyond used to be, will officially open this Saturday. It is very clean and very open with many sizes of vendor booths ranging from 400.00 a month to 800.00 and more each month with a 12 month contract. I am giving my review a 3 Star review for now because it came to my attention, that many vendors are not happy with the pricing . The owners quoted a certain amount of feet per booth for the 12 month booth rental space, but it measures less then first stated and the amount the vendors pay for rent has not been reduced per the actual booth size. I hope the artists and vendors have their rents reduced and changed for their benefit...in the near future. The store looks very beautiful, new and the many vendors booths look so cool. I know it takes time to get things rolling but it is all about the vendors and their products that will make this company successful. Took my 14-year-old granddaughter there who had recently got a job and saved $356 to buy for her 13 family members. We were able to find something for everyone on her list and she still had $17 left over. This place is super cute. My phone was charging when I went in but I got pictures of my finds. There's a lot of different things and different price ranges. Not a lot of service. Two girls near the door working register. People purchase a spot and set up their crafts for you to check out and buy. Lots of open spots left. I will be back. read more

This store is set up like a craft fair. Each "booth" is a different storefront. There's a little bit of everything here. I've come back twice now to buy soy candles from the store Jumelles Candle Co. A lot of the stores have home made gifts, but some are clearly from Amazon and repackaged. I prefer to browse and buy the local made in Nevada products. Since most of these stores are unmanned, to pay you walk up front where there are cashiers. As with a craft fair, the prices are more expensive, but there's a good variety of items. For the clothing, you can try things on in the dressing rooms by the front entrance. read more

Pretty cool concept which I think has potential to be great! A mix of local arts and crafts and as another reviewer put it, random "cheap, made in China good." The girls up front are a bit stand off-ish, don't welcome you when you walk in. I'd come here if I needed a gift in a pinch or for gag gifts. read more

This is such a great concept for the area! I really hope it thrives! Yay! Took off a star for the customer service at checkout. The girl with the lip piercing must've been having a bad day to put it nicely. Again, great concept- but it won't last if the people running it are sour. Great variety of shops inside this little "mall". Definitely must go check it out! Hopefully they work out the kinks of just opening and it's a long term shopping option. The area really needs it! By kinks, I mean the customer service. It's such a crucial aspect for longevity! Their employee said for the 6x8 space, it's $300/mo with a year contract. You'd want to make sure the business isn't discouraging customers to return if you're paying that kind of money. Still a lot of empty spaces! Bundle up if it's cold out- doesn't seem the heat was on. My husband and I wandered in here shortly before their "Grand Opening," and found it to be a very cute place. On our first night it seemed a lot of the vendors were still setting up shop and many of the booth areas were empty. But, this changed very quickly, as later in the week there were more vendors/items. Many of the booths were similar to what you'd find in the craft area at different events around town. There was a lot of variety and most of it, handmade. Those who were working their booths that were present were very kind and friendly while showing off their product. I would say it's definitely a fun place to shop with the girls for gifts and home decor. I hope it does well and the vendors are able to sell their products! read more

This place is cute and has potential, but a lot of the same repeat things in each "shop". I feel like it's super basic as far as what's offered like clothes, cups, crafts and maybe targeted towards an older rather than younger generation. A lot of empty spots so hopefully some good vendors join in there in the future. I did love the live music though. read more

I love this store a lot! However I bought a 55 dollar dress, a 30ish dollar hat, and a little 5 dollar air freshener, and the girl at the front scanned my dress twice, causing it to come out to be 150 dollars. Luckily my boyfriend caught it and it was supposed to be only 70. She then wasn't aware that she owed me back money. It made me feel humiliated and like I was in the wrong. Again, I love this store, but as someone else also said, the girls upfront are standoffish and don't seem to care about their jobs or customers. read more

They have a 48 hr return policy so if something is defective or breaks you're evidently stuck. Won't be shopping here anymore.

I was so incredibly disappointed! I thought I was walking into a curated, makers market and what I got was booth space after booth space of made in china, cheap poorly made clothing, earrings, plastic garbage! There were a few booths that had truly handmade items! I'm sad that this store has turned into that- clearly management just wanted to rent space and they did not care what was going to go into these spaces.... it really could have been great- read more
