First, he postponed (by text mssg) on the morning of the move. So, we gave him the benefit of the doubt and set another appointment (again, with John the owner) to move on a different day. That day came and he was a no show. We called and he completely ghosted us. He never called back despite repeated messages and calls. We called his cell. We texted him. A member of the team inadvertently busted a lamp shade, and John owned the breakage immediately and is working to resolve to my satisfaction. No equivocating, excuses, or attempt to shift blame. Yesterday, they came back to move more items for me and were prompt, professional, moved the items without delay and were an absolute pleasure to have in my home. i have used professional movers over two dozen times in my life and have NEVER had such a pleasant experience. During in the process of the move my wardrobe boxes that contained all of my clothes were somehow lost. I contacted Arnoff and was was told to file a claim. The claim then went through a claim agency and a lowball settlement amount was offered. In researching the next steps to appeal the settlement I discovered it would have only prolonged the time and cost me more money. I would have my claim sent to an arbitrator and that would have wanted receipts for my clothing items. Who has receipts for all the items in their closet? It's a racket designed to protect the moving companies. I sent numerous emails and did receive one from one of the Arnoff family members however it was just lip service in the end. I reluctantly accepted the settlement offer which was substantially below any numerical value to replace my entire closet. I sent a final email asking them to give the service one would expect from a local company and the human touch but never heard back. They came highly recommended and I have shared my story with other friends and voiced me frustrations. I can say that I will advise anyone moving to the area to use another company.

This is especially frustrating because on that 10th day is when I get charged the $600+ dollars for a new months worth of storage. I asked if that could be waived since it was a single day, and the the person in the customer service chat bluntly told me "sorry, it's in the rental agreement that it's first come first served" and I "should've scheduled sooner". I wasn't able to do this because I just found out my closing date a couple hours earlier. Drawing a line there and not willing to accommodate someone who just paid more than $3,000 in storage fees is really disappointing. Would not recommend going with a company like this that doesn't value its customers enough to engage in a conversation and come to a reasonable solution.
