Can't help but write a review after my Dad wrote one and my sister wrote a complaint…read more Based on how our dissatisfaction- it doesn't seem this place cares about accountability or about the services they are providing. Just to start with the experience itself was really slow and it was explained to my sister that there would be three movers and only two showed up. The process was slow and I felt frustrated - and based on interactions with the individuals assigned to my specific job- I am not quite sure exactly what was the point of hiring movers. It took the movers from around 9:30 to 2:30 to pack a full truck. I would describe the demeor of the two men as slap happy or almost unprofessional- it felt that you were always almost being laughed at or condescended. It almost seemed the two men were deliberately taking there time to add hours on the clock and pay. If that wasn't enough- here are a few main events that were alarming- - while at my old apartment, the movers literally asked me how/to help move the couch down the outdoor stairwell. I don't want to gripe or be a snot, but kinda thought- this is exactly why professional movers were hired...... - the second thing- getting into my new place- when the men came to my lobby, when they came to my lobby- I was literally asked- can we just leave the stuff in the lobby? Just sheer lazyness for a lack of better term- I was just absolutely appalled by the sheer lack of professionalism and wondered what thought process did the movers have ? Are they aware of their assigned job description or why they are hired for? The last offense- I gave them the keys to get in my new apartment before dropping my sisters things off at her new apartment half a mile away and of course they didn't give me back my key- and my parents had to go help me get it from them, and apparently they thought it was funny. Worse - my Dad wrote a complaint and they called my sister, harassing her- to remove it? Like excuse my language but if you want good reviews- make sure your employees are taking it seriously and not doing a half ass job? Don't harass my sister because your employees can't get it together. Completely embarrassing- like how do you own a company- look at the past couple of weeks and have multiple one star reviews and not feel embarrassed or ? I am glad to know it wasn't just me and my sister. In addition despite a completely unacceptable experience- barely anything was offered back. Please, please- please do not hire this company they do not give a single crap about the experience provided- they just want you money at the end of the day and good reviews without actually delivering. I hope this review helps people choose another company the other reviews too- showing moveman that's fine if they don't care but actions have consequences. *I am pretty sure I noticed a few reviews- not sure- of the day I moved that were one star within the same week but those are gone. I am going to guess that others were intimidated to remove the poor reviews- showing the 4.9 stars grossly inaccurate- what I suspected.

I recently moved to a new place and much to my excitement it has significant floor to ceiling wall space. Anyone that knows me knows that I have been collecting concert posters, national park maps, and other memorabilia for over a decade now. After months of people guessing whether it was the siding, roof, or plumbing we decided to open up the kitchen ceiling and look for the source from there. Metro Craftsmen were very easy to setup appointments with, very prompt to respond, came at the scheduled times, and also gave us very reasonable prices (a lot less than other quotes we received). They were able to open the ceiling up, fix the issue (a poorly sealed pipe), close the ceiling, paint, and all of this in a matter of a few hours over few days. I had a few phone conversations with Sales office about size, about not doing a standard materials order, etc. They were very responsive each time, and we ordered. This was to be a gift from a family member, and they were very helpful in making it happen so we got delivery thought someone else paid. Granted, delivery took longer than we were hoping for; HOWEVER, each time we reached out to Sales, we received a response by the end of the day with an update. It is a bit disconcerting that the $90 home delivery fee gets you the items lowered on a truck lift to your driveway, but not taken inside. Though I suspect that has more to do with the contracted delivery service than the furniture company. It is also bit disconcerting that when items arrive, you have about 15 minutes to unwrap them, inspect them, and accept or deny delivery; however, ours were in perfect condition. The assembly was exceptionally easy (and if I can do it, anyone can), and they look beautiful. One note. The table top is one solid piece. I would have liked for 'starter holes' to have been drilled for the base. I realize the base comes from a different manufacturing plant; however, with precision tools available today, I would think the bottom of a table top can easily be marked where those holes would need to be drilled, and starter holes drilled. The seemingly less-than-positive remarks aside, we could not be happier with our new kitchen booth and table.

They are not professional, they promise delivery dates that they don't meet (our order was 3 weeks late!) and they are very rude to their customers once you make the purchase. We trusted their recommendation on the size of the bases for the restaurant tables and they recommended bases that are too big for the size of the tables and that don't allow the chairs to fit. If this conflict had been mentioned during the time of selection, we would´ve chosen a different style of base. We tried calling to explain the problem and I got yelled at and interrupted several times by the salesperson and the manager. Eric, the manager, also rudely implied that my future business with his company was of little interest to him. He asked me to send an email explaining the problem, and once I sent it he insisted that I complained about something that I didn´t (foot space). Then he offered to work with us as a "courtesy" promising a substantial discount that ended up being less than 10% off their posted price. This was our first time buying from them and obviously the last. And since my future purchases do not matter much to Eric, I am going to let my network of interior designers and stagers know to make their purchases at a different company, one that is more professional and respects and values their customer needs.

Jeff was great. He called me back the same day I reached out to him. I needed a heat wire placed to…read moreprevent ice dam formation. Jeff recommended a product, I bought it, and he installed it the day after it arrived. On the way out the door, I mentioned a rattling vent that has annoyed us for a year. Within minutes, he was on the ground, had removed the running board without damaging it, found the problem (a piece of tape had gotten hung inside the wall when the kitchen remodelers had placed the board in the first place), and used his nail gun to replace the board. This was all for 2 hours of work, getting rid of two of our family bug bears. I would definitely recommend him to others.
