After the service, he stated "I know this is A LOT of money so if you have problems and/or questions, please call me." I told him that I am going to the BMW dealership for a recall repair. I've been taking my BMW's to Paddock for several years now, always impeccable service. Two years ago, I did some real self inflicted damage to one (slid off a forest service road in the snow) while I was between jobs. Doug and his crew were very generous with their labor costs to get me back on the road. Most recently, my 325xi wagon was totaled in a hit and run with a stolen car. They let me stow the car on their lot for several weeks and inspected a couple of cars I wanted to buy at no charge - telling me absolutely don't buy one of them (which I likely would have) and giving the stamp of approval to another. I bring my E32 1989 BMW V12, E36 1998 BMW Z3 M and Porsche Panamera Turbo to this shop. i've had this experience multiple times now where I took my BMWs to other reputable BMW shops closer to where i live, to get a list of things to fix, all of which i would have happily agreed to. After a 2nd opinion from Paddock Imports, I get the straight answer, and each time the difference in the assessment is shocking. After another shop in town butchered my 912's brakes, I brought the car to Paddock (and the Eisenbud's team) to correct it. Jim, John, and Kevin fixed my brake issue in a day, and were also able to perform an overall tune up of the car that exceeded my expectations. The 912 now drives great, and pricing for all the work was beyond reasonable. Finding a reliable and trustworthy air cooled mechanic is getting increasingly difficult.
