Their menu looked so amazing that knew I had to either have lunch or dinner here! We actually found it while driving from one hiking spot to the next so we stopped in to check it out and grab a quick drink. Believe me when I tell you that their homemade lemonade is by far the best thing I have ever had! We went on our way, enjoyed our hike and came back for dinner. In addition to getting another couple of lemonades, I had the Buddha Bowl (Greens, Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Namuru Carrots, Mushrooms, Picked Carrots and Daikon on Rice with Yuzumiso Sauce) and my husband had the Moo Moo Bowl (Braised Thin Sliced Beef, Onion, Soft Poached Egg on Rice). We also ordered a Salad Roll to share which came with the most delicious peanut dipping sauce. You can get a takeaway or if you prefer to "dine in", there is a nice seating area around the back of the truck with picnic tables. Since we opted to dine in, our dishes were presented to us on dishes. Everything from the service to the ambience to the presentation to the taste was next level. I highly recommend checking out this food truck if you're in the area. You will not be disappointed.

Seafoam Seafoods - Seafoam Seafoods Port Renfrew fresh fish truck

We hit the jackpot on our last day in Port Renfrew as we checked out of our cottage. The Seafoam…read moreSeafoods truck was open for business in the morning, so we were able to visit Miss Lilian. She gave us samples of pretty much everything she had to offer. I'll try to add some photos on this review, because I'm also adding this as a business to Yelp along with posting the review. You really can't get much fresher Salmon than this. Seafoam is the First Nation's community's fishing enterprise, Pacheedaht Fishing Corporation Inc. We picked one of the whole Smoked Pink Filet and a package of the Chinook Candy. The "candy" is big fresh chunks of Chinook Salmon that has been smoked and sweetened just a tad with brown sugar. It isn't too sweet, either... just the right amount. We drove from Port Renfrew two hours over to Nanaimo for the ferry, and literally opened up the Chinook Candy and ate it right out of the bag as we drove to the ferry terminal. It was one of the best things we had on our entire BC trip, too. We knocked out the Smoked Pink Filet later, and it was equally amazing. I believe the truck stops coming at the end of summer for several months in Port Renfrew, so you can look up Seafoam Seafoods online to locate other retail outlets during off-season. If you are in "Renny" during the summer season, be sure to drop in on this spot to buy fresh seafood right from the First Nations people. Get there early, because they do sell out of the most popular items first.

Sabai Thai Cuisine - Tawan Curry (Red curry) one of the best we've had. Served with a mini pyramid of rice.

When I was in Thailand, I stayed in a wooden traditional home so I instantly get transported here in this dark wooden interior. The cooking is supervised directly by the Thai mammas in the back so the taste is divine and true. It avoids tasting anglicized even though the menu is obviously catering to a western palate. We came here in Feb 2024 with a group of instructors from nearby college, each sharing the amazing dishes of fried noodles, fish with basil, vegetarian curries etc. We had ordered roughly eight dishes. The taste was unforgettable. It made me really hanker to go back. I returned the following year and again felt cozy and ordered a Fish with coconut milk curry. It was a massive portion for one but was so delicious I couldn't stop eating it. My left overs were packed with **a fresh, extra portion of rice** by the Thai hostess. How sweet. It was critical when I was at a remote location for work the next day and I had a whole second meal. I will always go out of my way to return to eat at the uniquely delicious Sabai Thai!

The spring rolls and Tom Kha were great, but the noodles were not it! The Pad Thai was overly sauced and didn't taste authentically Thai. My Pad See Ew just tasted like soy sauce and the noodles were undercooked. Also, spicy was not spicy at all, even with the addition of chili oil. The service was phenomenal. Every single person greeted us, multiple people checked on us, and the waiter was more than happy to explain dishes.
