We had the Phad See Iew noodles, Kow Phad Goong prawn fried rice, and the Peeg Gai Tod marinated chicken wings. Everything was great and the quality stayed throughout our ferry ride! The smell of the food was making people around us on the ferry jealous! :) The restaurant was able to provide us a couple of extra containers to use as plates and some cutlery as well. The restaurant. located in a small strip mall, has a basic interior with enough space between tables. The radio plays english pop-songs and a large muted TV is showing some home shopping channel. While the servers are clearly inexperienced, they were friendly and helpful. The chicken satay was extremely bland without any grill marks. I think they forgot the fish sauce (Nam Pla) in the marinade, and it probably was just dipped in coconut milk right before cooking instead of marinating overnight. It did not come with enough peanut sauce to save it. The fresh steamed rolls didn't taste Thai at all. It had surimi and was served with a dab of French mustard, which is a bizarre combination. The Pad Krapow Neua lacked heat despite my request for it to be really spicy. I've never had it served without visible chilies (Prik Chee Fa) in the dish, or without a side of Prik Nam Pla. The Khao Soi was good, and offering it with prawn instead of chicken is an interesting choice. Chicken or tofu would be original and probably be a better combination. The orchids added by the servers, touching food on every dish, are unnecessary and unhygienic. And made me doubt if they are pesticide-free or even reused. Missed opportunities: the servers never asked if anyone needed drinks. When water glasses are empty and easily reachable, staff should be able to step in and refill them from behind without interrupting a conversation. It would also help if servers tasted each dish so they could actually describe them to customers. The prices are fair, maybe even too low for some dishes and the entire experience could be so much better with very little effort. And the food did not match the other reviews, was Wipa out or something?

One of us had the staple Pad Thai and the other some sort of fried rice dish. The noodles were some sort of freeze dried noodles which we couldn't finish. I will say the sauce they gave to mix in with the noodles tasted good. The rice was dry and hard to eat. Over all just not good at all - and at those prices should have been amazing! Skip this place and find another place in town to get food from.
