Short walk from our hotel. I chose this restaurant for a quick, early dinner after seeing a picture of the mango sticky rice. The restaurant had many tables and was dimly lit. It was so early so we had our pick of tables to choose from. My husband and son weren't very hungry so we chose a couple of dishes to share between the three of us. It was just enough food and completely delicious. We ordered the pad see ew, crying tiger beef and mango sticky rice. Our server was very kind, attentive and gracious. Would definitely recommend! read more

My coworker and I were looking for a cheap lunch and came across this lovely restaurant. I just came back from Thailand so I was craving some Thai food. We both got the Noodles Delight - stir fry noodles with a peanut sauce and your choice of meat. I chose beef. I asked for a mild spicy level and this was a tad spicier than I wanted, but it was so flavourful, it had a nice char on the noodles, and the beef was tender. I would recommend this place for an affordable meal. They also have lunch specials. read more

Siam Thai Restaurant - Noodles delight with beef - Thai Near Me - Victoria, British Columbia

The interior was nicely decorated. We ordered Panang curry with chicken and Pad Wen Soon with pork. Rice was extra - $4 for small, $6 for medium, and $8 for large. We enjoyed the curry but the Pad Wen Soon was drenched in soy sauce which made it extremely salty. We had to mix it with rice to make it palatable. Although we got the medium size, the rice came in a small bowl so it was barely enough. read more

I spent $70+ on an Uber eats food order and specifically indicated on the App I needed utensils. No utensils were provided like my family should be eating with their hands. I am visiting Victoria on a vacation and this was our last night. The delivery was great, but this restaurant was not. Worse eating experience of the trip. I hope this place goes out of business. PS, it is not just about the utensils, the food is horrible. Overall a bad place to eat. Hopefully the health department shuts them down too. read more

Great thai food. Peanut sauce is amazing! Not sweet red sauce used. Yummy! Staff is patient and welcoming.

Growing up in VN, I always heard how good Thai food is. I've been to a lot of Thai restaurants in NOLA, and though they are all good, they are not extremely fantastic like the rumors. This is the first time that I had Thai food that blew my mind. It lives up to the hype. It's so good that even all my kids ate all their food. They can't remember what Thai food is since we dont eat Thai food very often. But now they believe Thai food is so good. I will be craving this type of Thai food when I'm back in New Orleans. The salt and pepper pork is fantastic. The pad Talay and Pad Kee Mao Woon Sen are amazing, too. Their Thai coffee is gigantic. Too bad they didn't have Mango sticky rice. There was a restaurant downtown New Orleans that had best mango sticky rice before Katrina. That restaurant was out of business due to Katrina. So I was excited to try the mango sticky rice here. But they don't have it. So we ordered the deep fried banana with ice cream. It's good too. read more

Went for dinner on a rainy cold Monday, and left SO HAPPY. The ambiance is charming, nothing flashy but still - quaint and clean. The food though...incredible. I had the Siam special fried rice and my friend had the chicken pad Thai. Both were fantastic. My rice had a charred wok seared taste that was amazing, and my friend's pad Thai was the best I've probably ever tasted. Plus the staff were super friendly and service was perfect. What a great spot!! Highly recommend. read more

We were planning to check out The Little Jumbo for dinner Friday evening but when we went in, it was an hour and a half wait. No chance we were waiting that long so we backtracked a few steps and hit up Siam Thai Restaurant instead. We got in around 7:00pm and didn't have any trouble grabbing a seat. But get there early because it got packed as the night carried on. Service is hectic as only two waitresses were serving the whole restaurant. Food came out slow but it was worth the wait. They have lunch specials (10 options, all at $8.95). Good deal! The regular menu has the usual suspects: appetizers, salads, soups, chef specials, chicken/beef/pork, fried rice & noodles, seafood and vegetarian. - 2x Thai iced tea ($3.50) - more stronger and less sweet than normal. We liked it! - 4x Chang beer ($5.95) - Satay chicken (#1) ($8.95) - grilled chicken skewers with peanut sauce. Chicken was moist. I liked the side of cucumber and red onion. B thought the peanut sauce was a tad thick. - Steamed rice (#51) ($6.00 large) - Green curry (S3) ($14.95) - spicy green curry, coconut milk, bamboo shoot, bell pepper and basil. We asked for everything to be medium but this had a good spice level. We went with beef which was a tad tough. Bamboo shoots were massive. - Siam special fried rice ($13.95) - fried rice with prawn, chicken, egg, pineapple, vegetables and yellow curry. Yellow curry gave it a nice kick. Think this was my favourite dish. Delicious. - Noodle delight (#24) ($12.95) - stir-fried noodles, bean sprouts, green onion topped with peanut sauce. Similar to pad thai but they use a different noodle and I preferred the peanut sauce over the usual overly sweet tamarind sauce. Nice change. - Goong preaw wann (#38) ($18.95) - sweet and sour prawns with pineapple and vegetables. This reminded me of sweet and sour pork but Thai style. Thought this was overpriced for what it was. Skip it. Good Thai food right in the downtown core. read more

Good spring rolls, good satay, but pineapple fried rice came burnt, with burnt pieces in the dish and very little pineapple. Should have sent back but my wife ordered and was eating while I munched on appetizers. read more

This was good - when we came here, I really wanted pad thai. It was good. We also ordered a grilled beef dish that I don't see a lot. It was good too, but not intensely flavourful - it's definitely better with the sauce. We ordered the peanut curry with beef and that was also delicious. portion sizes were good - we were able to share 3 dishes between 2 people so it was nice to be able to be able to savour different flavours. read more

Went here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. It's a super authentic spot with a huge array of Thai dishes. I asked for the specialty, a fish curry which blew my mind. The fish was perfectly crispy and the red curry sauce with bamboo shoots was to die for. On top of it, the waitress was so dedicated to giving good service for my friends and I that she was literally running in and out of the kitchen. After the fantastic meal, she hit me with a " khawp khun kha " (thank you in Thai), which I hadn't heard since I was in Thailand and it made me emotional. Big brownie points. read more

PANAENG CURRY = YUM! Great taste, good portion. The employees were polite and friendly. They got a little busy while we were there but continued filling our waters and checking on us. In US, rice automatically comes with meals, fortunately the server figured I'd want it so asked if I me. The only problem is that cigarette smoke from the sidewalk enters the restaurant. Not really the restaurants floor since it's mainly people walking by. read more

I was in the downtown tourist area and decided to hit this place up, Victoria is a sleepy city and things close early. I didn't want to go to a chain like The Keg though those places seemed to be the only places still opened. The interior of Siam Thai is warm and inviting, with a beautiful bar area and tables done up in southeast Asian style decor (not sure how authentic though). The waitress was actually Thai (I think) and was very sweet and quick. Menu and water was provided promptly, and she didn't rush me even though I take forever to decide on a meal (especially with a menu as vast as theirs). The restaurant was empty at first, but started to fill up quickly as the evening wore on. I asked her about vegetarian options and she was very gracious in her suggestions (I occasionally eat meat but wasn't in the mood for it then). I ordered spring rolls, a veggie curry and a Singha beer. She asked for spice levels and I asked for spicy. I got what I wanted, and the food was ample and delicious. The vegetables were fresh, and the rolls were huge, crisp and the plum sauce was dark and tasty. Even though she was the only waitress, she was extremely efficient in taking orders and clearing tables on top of the app delivery pick ups. Apparently Siam is the first Thai restaurant in the city. It was a great dinner and though I was visiting solo, she made me feel very welcome. I'd eat here again if I was back in Victoria read more

A SMALL SHOP THAT WALKS INTO RANDOMLY, LAMPLIGHT IS DIM, ESPECIALLY DESK LAMP GIVES A PERSON A KIND OF VERY FULL-STRENGTH EXOTIC REGION AMOROUS FEELINGS. Victoria has several great Thai restaurants, but Thai Siam is probably my favourite of the bunch. I have frequent cravings for their Tom Kha Gai soup. I've had several variations, I think Thai Siam's is the tastiest. The Pad Thai is delicious, and we usually order a seafood curry and a rice dish to round out the meal. I've been to Thai Siam half a dozen times, and I've never left disappointed. read more

Good restaurant with yummy food, and a great place to bring a group! We showed up with 10 people and no reservation and it was not a problem -- they have lots of space and can flexibly move tables around. I shared several yummy dishes with my friends, including Cashew Chicken Delight (which is just Cashew Chicken) and Red Curry. The waitress was great in dealing with with party's request for separate checks and multiple receipts. Prices were all very reasonable, too. read more

Went to get take out while staying In A hotel. Spring rolls were very good and crisp and quite large actually. But they came with a sticky sweet sauce - I Much prefer the fish sauce dip. More authentic . Pad Thai was not greasy as another review said - it was done pretty well with shrimp, peanuts the egg done properly and proper tofu- it just didn't taste like much. I don't know why. Medium spicy was almost too spicy which is rare for a Thai restaurant. I asked for cutlery and got s set of chopsticks. In s Thai restaurant? Thais use forks not chopsticks. I thought that was odd and one real pet peeve I was charged a dollar more for each item than on the menu. If you raise your prices update your website. It's that easy. read more

Having just arrived to Victoria, the fam & I walked around the area to find some good food. Eventually we were so tired from searching that we stopped in this restaurant. The food was alright. I've definitely had better. The fried rice was too mushy for me. I think they added too much water to cook the rice. The chicken larp was pretty good. Also ordered the red curry which was good as well. The service was alright and the atmosphere was quiet. read more

Thai Siam fits in to the long list of Thai restaurants that taste good to me, but I don't know if it's authentic, good, bad, or otherwise. Basically, my three star range for Thai is enormous - I'm not sure what would push me up to a four. I had a regular old green curry, which came in a huge helping with lots of good veggies, and we also enjoyed a ground chicken dish with lime, carrot, and onion. The tangy chicken was good with the sweet/spicy curry, so this was a good combo, and the lime flavor was something I'd not tried before. Not sure if it's just something I've missed on other menus. Price was reasonable, service was fine, and they were open late, so, no complaints really. There's lots of places to try in Victoria, so I'd be back, but maybe not right away. read more
