Finally made it to this place, after wanting to try it for over a year. Seems like every time I tried they were closed. Their hours are limited, and they don't have a website to get any info. They're a little bit expensive but I'll add to this post after I get my food. The place is deceiving, the inside is very cute and comfortable the staff is friendly and attentive. Don't like that you have to come to the register to pay for your meal. The outside is not very inviting, doesn't look like a restaurant and the front lot is small. But there's more parking in the rear. I ordered my favorites, Pad Thai, Yellow Curry w/ckn. The Pad Thai was good but the portion was small. The sauce was thin the ckn wasn't very tender and bland. I ordered it 3 stars which is their heat level, it was good not too spicy but just right. I ordered the fried dumplings, they were hard and the filling wasn't very full and dried out. Overall not bad but not great. The portion size of the curry was good but the rice portion was not enough for the amount of yellow curry dish. read more

Restaurant was clean. Service was fast and friendly. I've eaten here in the past and it didn't disappoint. Today I came in for lunch and with my taste buds craving their delicious curry! What an utter disappointment I got! The curry sauce itself was delicious as usual however they ruined the dish (which wasn't cheap at $15.95!) by using frozen vegetables instead of fresh veggies. Really? The Panang curry dish is listed to have peas, carrots, and bell peppers. In the bowl there were 3 small slices of a bell pepper, fresh tasty and crunchy. But the majority of the bowl (at least a full 8oz.) consisted of a frozen peas and carrots blend. So nasty! The server confirmed it was frozen veggies. I've never been so disappointed. I've loved their food in the past with never a single complaint. Unfortunately, I'll never return there. I'll have to find my curry fix in a nearby town. read more

Tonight I made the mistake of giving Pad Thai another chance and unfortunately the food was even worse. The peas and carrots that are in many of their dishes are frozen or canned and are very mushy. The formerly tasty coconut soup is now inedible for me. I had requested no meat in the soup and to add some fresh vegetables in its place (I emphasized fresh). Other than onion and a small bite of broccoli everything was frozen or canned and mushy.The flavor had changed as well. It was so sour that I couldn't eat it. Consistently delicious Thai food. The curry puffs are light, flaky and have just the right amount of curry filling and are accompanied by a sweet dipping sauce. Our go-to dish is the Pad Se Ew with tofu and it is so good. This isn't a spicy dish for those who aren't into spice. It's sweet with flat noodles and broccoli and protein of your choice. I've also had the Thai Tea with boba and would recommend it. The other thing that sets this place apart is the great staff. Every time o call to place my order the person taking it is polite and friendly and they are always so attentive when I go in to get the food. Great food and great service! read more

I picked up my order, drove home and after I opened it up I discovered that I was given the wrong order. I was a bit irritated because of the inconvenience. I called them and they said to bring back the food and they would give me my correct order. I asked why I needed to bring the food back and I was told it was their policy not to give the food away for the inconvenience. My concern was.....WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH THE FOOD? ARE YOU GOING TO REUSE IT. They said no we are going to throw it away. I asked how do I know that if I'm bringing it back? They didn't have an answer other than to trust them. My order was more money and after complaining they told me that I didn't have to pay the extra. When I brought back the order they put it on prep counter in the kitchen and not in the trash. I'm concerned that another customer received the returned food. This should have been handled better. Now I wonder about the cleanliness of the restaurant and the possibility that customers could get food that has been brought home opened up and who knows what. Surprisingly good thai food for a town this size. We were passing through and enjoyed the food here. I order a four star red curry and honestly could have been a bit hotter, but I enjoyed the veggies in it. They have a lot of vegetarian options which is nice for someone like me who doesn't eat meat. The kitchen was able to make a curry that was vegetarian despite it not being explicitly on the menu so I was appreciative for their accommodation. The service was great and the price of the food was superb for the amount we got. My parents and I enjoyed this after a long day enjoying the local state parks. I now live on the east coast but whenever I make it back to Farmington I must stop in. Pad Thai is always amazing. In the past three years I've lived in Chicago, The East Village, and now Philadelphia. Pass Thai could compete very competitively or exceed in these markets and is an astonishing gift to Farmington. I suggest the Basil Fried Rice with Chicken, Medium Spice, and Panang Curry on the side to douse the dish in. The rice soaks up the delicious curry and is not overbearing yet filling. I also love the Sweet Basil dish or the Drunken Noodles. PRO TIP: take Drunken Noodles to go, leave them in the fridge over night, and be amazed the next morning. It's like Cinerella's Fairy Godmother paid a visit to the fridge in order to ensure my taste buds are completely spoiled. The atmosphere is homey and clean. Prices are amazing. Honestly you cannot go wrong with Pad Thai in Farmington, Missouri. My friends on the east coast agree it's amazing and a true gem in a midwestern exurb. read more

The Service: It took for ever for the waitress to come and take our drink order then another long wit to get the water. We ordered everything as soon as we could since the lag time was horrible. A very unassuming house turned temple of Thai Food. You almost drive by because it doesn't stand out except for the sign out front. My first visit I tried the Yellow Curry Chicken and Spring Rolls. The Spring Rolls were nothing special - until you dio them in the crunchy, garlicky Peanut dipping sauce. OMG! For lack of a better expression in written form. I could dip my entire arm in a vat of that sweet concoction. My second visit I ordered the traditional Pad Thai with chicken and crispy tofu. Delicious and hot. This has been a favorite lunch place for us in Farmington until recently. To be fair, they do a great job overall preparing noodle and rice dishes, and we have loved every appetizer we tried. The problem lately is that the beef or chicken that accompanies these dishes has been tough and dry from over cooking. This is a recent change that I've complained about the last three times I dined there with my family. Overcooking the meat to this degree really ruins what used to be a very enjoyable experience. As a result, my family and I will be dining elsewhere for awhile. After we try it out again in about 6 months, I will post a revised review. We really hope the problem is resolved.
