They've adapted to teaching a mix of in-person and online classes and they've done an excellent job of making things challenging while keeping workouts accessible and adaptable as needed for everyone's personal situation. All of the trainers here are excellent, but most of the classes I take are with Deanna. Training with her is an incredibly positive experience--she is completely committed to helping her clients succeed, and not just in the gym. And on those days when my tank is empty or I'm not with it for whatever reason she's completely understanding and is able to adjust things to meet me where I'm at so I still get a good workout in. A lot of it may be behind the scenes, but she works just as hard as her clients at helping them achieves their goals. I really liked that it was small and everyone was friendly. It started with some jumprope, followed by push ups (and repeat 5 times). Then we got our hands wrapped and put on the boxing gloves! We hit punching bags. Pretty fun to feel like Muhammed Ali. :) my knuckles are red. Boxing is only on Wednesdays. Then we did squats in between the different types of boxing moves. Then we got out some yoga mats and did different types of crunches. Sadly I forgot where my abs once were :( but I'm hoping to find them soon. Anyway, tons of fun!

Working with Sariah has helped me make HUGE gains in my overall life satisfaction, career, finances, and marriage. When we first started, I was a freelance designer struggling to find the balance between work, life and money, wanting to feel both creatively fulfilled and financially free, but feeling mostly stressed and unsatisified. Through working with her, I was able to become really clear about my true needs, and position myself for a career change. Now, in my new job, I feel set up financially and challenged in new and exciting ways. For the first time in my life, I'm actually excited about my job and the life it's helping me create. Working with Sariah has also helped me become closer with my husband and find harmony, balance and emotional fulfillment in our relationship. We've been able to release negative patterns that were causing emotional strain and threatening our relationship, and in many ways, it feels like we've inherited a whole new relationship. I feel so much more at peace, and am enjoying a marriage that is far more loving, supportive, healthy and happy. I believe that no matter what you'd like to change about your life, working with Sariah in the healthy, positive environment she provides, you'll be empowered to make real and lasting changes to your life, even ones you never thought were possible. If you're serious about living the life you want, you should definitely give it a go! I think you'll be amazed!

What struck me immediately about this gym was how anti-social everyone was. Even though we were in a small class with a lot of the same people, nobody really talked to each other or even said hello. I tried to make an effort every time to at least say hi to one person, but it was always awkward. I thought maybe if I just kept coming things would change. They never did. I finally brought this up to the coaches after a few months and offered some possible suggestions of how to foster some more connection, but nothing changed. I don't need my gymmates to be my best friends, but it's just more fun when people know each other or just even say "hi" or "good job" at the end of a class. The gym hosts social functions occasionally but being a busy mom I never had the luxury of attending these (though it didn't seem to matter during class as people still didn't talk). There were other frustrating things about the studio as well, such as how difficult it was to book a class. The owners were so focused on increasing their membership that classes filled up 2 weeks in advance, and unless you didn't work and could go to a class at any time during the day, it was impossible to get in otherwise. In addition, they have extremely strict policies about being on time, (which I totally appreciate as a on-time type of person), but things happen, and sometimes even I might be a couple minutes late. If you are even a couple minutes late, they don't let you into class. As a busy full-time working mom of 2 kids, I just found these aspects to be really frustrating, as I needed some sort of flexibility. Overall, it always felt like they were more concerned about marketing and getting new members than they were about their actual members' experience. Not once were we offered any kind of way to give feedback anonymously, such as a survey (aside from adding new class times). There was no way I could provide feedback aside from going to the coaches directly. I've been a member of several other gyms and never felt this way before. I tend to love fitness classes and studios of all types!

When I started, I don't think I could run a half mile without dying. Now, I have several 5k races under my belt, and I'm hoping to do a 10k before the year is up. I have to say out of all the gyms I've been to: FBBC, UFC, Planet Fitness, The Camp, and many other local family owned gyms, Concord fitness boot camp aka Fit Body Boot Camp concord has been the absolute best! I lost weight but the change was not just in appearance. I actually felt stronger and could notice the difference in my strength. My energy and endurance was like my teen days. The crazy part is appearance wise this gym has been the least impressive. But Virgil makes the small space functional and you really don't need much more than this. When I showed up for my first trial the location made me hesitant. Virgil's customer service was great and he made me feel welcomed. The other members were friendly and there were all ages and body types. I stayed and loved it. Everyone was extremely helpful and motivating. They all push you to finish your reps, to keep moving and not quit, and if you struggle they make you feel okay with modifying while teaching you ways to work on it until you can one day do what you're struggling with. It was hard but it seemed like within days my body learned how to handle doing sit ups and push ups. Another major part is nutrition. Virgil helped me with a shopping list and meal ideas. He is respectful but also doesn't sugar coat. With each weigh in he reminded me what I needed to do to stay on track. I also learned how to count calories. If I still lived in the area I would see about joining again. If I didn't give it 5 stars it is solely because of the cost. When I went it cost around by $300/month. Is it worth it? Yes. Is it affordable and feasible? No. I could not keep up going there as it was too much for my budget. Pictures for comparison of cheeks and chin when I first started in March to September
