Unbelievably delicious tacos for an extremely reasonable price. Price per taco, but they're huge and come with double corn tortillas. pastor and asado HIGHLY recommend. Huge chunks of Avocado on top really made it. Atmosphere is utilitarian and pretty quiet even at busy lunch hour. Everything must be so delicious that people can't be bothered to talk. I am a taco fanatic. I enjoy trying new flavors but also searching for the best authentic taco that makes you happy all around. This is that authentic place. We got the steak tacos and a tort along with chicken tacos for the kids. We all ate and enjoyed it and I am in love. We drove all the way from the suburbs and would do it again anytime.... seating is limited (counters around the place with stools). When it comes to Tacos, I am one picky eater! The meat should be a certain type and it should be prepared well also, the portions should be decent for the money that you are paying. Growing up on a northside there's a few spots where I hit up on a weekly basis. Coming to the Southside, it's been quite of a challenge on finding a decent taco spot in which to munch on. This newer location for this southside icon pic taco joint on the south side is bigger but retains the original recipes from the original joint. I love the way it's open with it sitting area, you don't have to wait over 10 minutes for your order and it seems to me like they're adding to the menu. My favorites of course are carne asada and lengua,or beef tongue but sometimes I'll get something different like Al Pastor or chicken. every time I get a taco here, they are very loaded tasty prepared right and makes you want to come back!! Yes the prices might be a little bit more for your taco, but you get what you pay for and this is definitely a spot to hit up for a taco experience! read more

The tacos are nice n fat and taste good. Employees don't speak much English. I jus don't go here often because I got a good feeling they dip the meat in pork lard. I love coming here on Sunday and picking up food for lunch. I usually get carnitas and they're always warm and you can choose the amount you want. There's always a line but that's due to the weekend vibes. Not complaining about the lines since they do move fairly quickly. Cashiers are efficient and nice so that's a plus. The one thing is that there's a lot of high booths and that's once reason I don't eat there. I have a broken ankle and climbing up to the chair and climbing down is too much movement so it's inconvenient. Parking is a hit or miss. They have a parking lot but it's small and usually packed so you have to look for street parking. read more

The taste of their meat is pretty good. They are very good accommodating special requests like if you're vegan or vegetarian. I have tried their tacos, quesadillas and other plates and they all were pretty tasty. They're nice, friendly and accommodating. You you can sit at their bar (no alcohol served) but most people just take out. They also have the option to buy their meat by the pound which is nice. Their prices are pretty competitive and reasonable. The girls taking the orders are fast and efficient. It's sort of a Mexican fast food place. read more

If I could put a zero star rating I would for the people who made the tacos. I told them specifically in the front how I wanted my tacos and they always mess up it really is messed up I mean who doesn't know how to read a piece of paper and put what it says instead they make it the way they want like if they're eating it. Paco's tacos is good when Im craving carnitas or barbacoa. However I find that after I eat (which is usually 2 tacos) I feel so stuffed that I get sick. The carnitas are good can't complain. The best tacos in West Lawn! Paco's Tacos are delicious and authentic. Well-portioned and priced, Paco's Tacos is the place to go for a quick lunch or dinner in the neighborhood. if im in the mood for a steak taco i go to pacos tacos. Their steak taco is my favorite but their carnitas and chicharon tacos are also on my list. I like the atmosphere of this location since it reminds me of my childhood going to pacos tacos 1, although i feel the space could have been designed a bit better, alot of empty space since they only have counters that go around the dining area. They are generous with the amount of meat they give you, but i think it depends on the person making your food because their is a couple of times i got unlucky with less meat, less meaning still more than other places would put but not their usual. read more

The only thing i would improve on is their sauces. I tried two of them and they where ok but not too spicy. I love my sauces to have a kick and both of them lacked in that are. Good taco and burrito place, kinda limited selection, no guacamole. But good basic place. I tried the Carnitas Burrito which was good, a little greasy. I didn't expect to pay for it the next day but I did. My friend had the chicken tacos which were okay. The thing that stood out for me was the hot sauce; verde or roja was good and filled with pepper seeds which I like. It was nice and hot, and over all the flavor was good. Excellent tacos de carne asada. This establishment is bigger than their restaurant counterpart on Archer. The carne asada is amazingly delicious. I am not impressed with their tacos Al Pastor due to the heavy simmered pork. It's a matter of preference and I prefer my pork tacos moist, not soupy. The other items (tortas, burritos) seem to take some of the meat flavor away with the addition of creme, lettuce, cheese, etc. Their tacos de carnitas is another "must have." read more

Mui autentico! There seems to be some debate about Paco VS Zaca. I have dined at Zaca a couple of times and found the tortillas dry, the meat salty, and the place crowded with subservient soldiers who eat anything for under 2 dollars. Having said that, Pacos is hard core, piles of skirt steak simmering on the flat grill, this is not your typical way of grilling but you can't argue with the results. Tender slightly charred steak with a beefy flavor enhanced by a touch of ground chilies. The tortillas, very tender, salsas, well balanced, and the service very efficient and friendly. I have read reviews of Cemitas Pueblas that take notice of the Coke from Mexico, made with cane sugar rather than corn syrup and served in glass bottles, on the south side all the Taquerias feature this soda and Pacos is no exception. Although the steak tacos are the most popular, I am a Barbacoa fan, slow cooked rich and moist goat, this taco is formidable and 2 is more than enough. The pastor taco is very good as well, but not the best in the neighborhood. The pork "carnitas" are another excellent choice, very moist and full of flavor, they can be bought by the pound and make a fantastic picnic. You can be easily fooled into thinking no one speaks English here, but most do, they always get my order right no matter how crowded they are. On one trip I was searching the bar for a bottle of salsa, and a gentleman next to sprang up, ran into the kitchen and fetched me some fresh salsa. I never found out if he worked there or was such a loyalist that he insisted I get what I want. Seating is strange, a large open room, with no tables, just ledges on the outer perimeter, and a bar in front of the kitchen, what looks like a waste of space turns into a mass of people on the weekends getting take out for family get togethers. There are a lot of places in this neighborhood to get a Taco or some seafood, but Pacos is a better taco, and a great experience. The original Pacos is awesome as well. read more

Easy 5 stars for this place. The best tacos I've had in my life so far. I got the steak tacos with onion and cilantro on corn tortilla and it was excellent. They provided lime to put on the taco and I strongly recommended squeezing the lime on it because it added a great flavor to the already delicious taco. The tacos were very big and filling too with plenty of meat and onion/cilantro. The steak was so full of flavor and cooked just right and I could noticeably taste the freshness of both the meat and onion/cilantro. Also the green sauce that is provided was delicious, too. Service was good and people were friendly. My food was ready in no more than 2 minutes. The Jarrito drinks were also a good addition to my meal. Prices were very reasonable and totally worth it. Only negative I'd say is parking isn't ideal, but it doesn't take away any stars and it won't prevent me from returning. Highly recommend for anyone in the West Lawn neighborhood and anyone else willing to make the trip. Will try to get a picture of my meal next time I go. read more

Best tacos de barbacoa!!! All other tacos are also very delicious. This is the best place to go for carnitas or barbacoa to take home on the weekends. They have both available all day. I was lucky enough to chow down at this place. I went in May and writing this review in December. Those delicious salsa's lined up on the counters are still fresh in my mind. Taco's de Asada are perfect, I drown them in Salsa cause the salsa is so good, but that smokey asada flavor comes through just right. They add crema to your taco's if you request it. I took a bite and I can't wait to go back. I wish they had a place that had the same idea here in San Fernando Valley. You can find occasionally the same formula of just perfect tacos being sold, but I can't think of place that does it better than Paco's. Delicious. read more

Best tacos in Chicago. I know a lot of people say that but no one really can compare with these guys. They don't bother with other traditional mexican dishes like enchiladas or bistec a la mexicana.
